He comes off so sweet, says he's a Christian and loves the lord, but I swear he won't show any real interest in you but sex right after I gave him my number. He told me he deleted his pof but was still on there a lot when we were together, something was very off about him but I wanted to believe he was a good guy so I stayed with him longer but I could not take all the conversations bout sex and my looks. So I broke up with him. I got no reply back and that's odd for someone who was talking to me bout kids and building a family. He's still on pof fishing :/

A year and a half maybe a little more ago I met my husband on POF. He messaged me a month or two before I got back to him but once I did we spoke for two weeks and each day he peaked my interest more. On June 22nd 2015 he came to visit me we met at a motel six and did what you'd expect anyone to do in a motel room for six hours. The next day I never expected to hear from again but god knows I wanted to so I texted him even though I swore to myself I wouldn't. That whole week he spent 700 dollars to say in my town with me because he didn't want to leave me. Needless to say we have been together ever since we have had our ups and downs but he is my best friend and now I'm not sure what I'd do without him.

First of all, this site/app does not deserve any star ratings. This is the worst dating app/website ever! There is no other option of what you exactly want as the options is so programmed, so I added what I exactly want under "About Me" section. And Guess what? Men whore around asking me for friends with benefit, and all the $#*!ing sexual desires they want. This is not a real dating site, instead, it is a $#*!ing dating site where men ask u to $#*! them. So? I suggest that they should add an option of "F-u-c-k-ing around" or "Just want to whore around looking for b-i-t-c-hess that I can f-u-c-k" Something like that, all men are $#*!ing ridiculous and too much prostitution going on, Men prostitute themselves and get girls for free. God! I pray that girls will be careful in dating these men. There is also another man who said he will pay money to $#*! him. Haha! This is the worst dating app ever! Please don't even dare download, also, Money ripped off huh? Trying to force u to upgrade so u can see who wants to meet u in person. Ridiculous! And Nasty! What is happening to our world seriously? It's getting disgusting, they don't care if they get HIV or something until they get it in actual. LOL. Men whoring should be the title of this app. The provider and owner of this site should have access and see conversation or something like a police job and delete accounts who abuse the site.

Full of attention seeking women. Most of them are there to waste time. If you're lucky enough to get a reply the majority of them just want to gossip and will eventually get bored with talking to you. I gave it 2 stars as I was lucky enough to go on a date with someone and she was ok. The date lasted 4 hours and she expected me to talk constantly for all that time. The first couple of hours went ok, we had a lot to talk about and then the conversation went dead who the $#*! can talk constantly for four hours? I've now met someone no thanks to pof. Guys don't waste your time full of stuck up women.

Received suggestion for POF Account upgrade, upgraded and been locked out since, my username and password longer works, POF states that my email address is not registered to an account (when I am 100% certain it is) and there is some other dude using my scree-name. Tried contacting Customer Service, but there is none, have sent emails and received only automated responses which were useless. This is so unfortunate because I am actually a paying continued customer of more than 1 year.

POF is pretty much useless. Anybody who is on POF for the right reasons gets drowned out by all of the other idiots. There are plenty of women on here who can be called "losers" (that's what they should really call this site). First of all, you have your single mothers, some with multiple kids. And where is the father, and in some cases fathers, to these children? Unless these men are deceased, why aren't they raising their kids? Seems to me that these women are looking for father figures for their kids. And then you have women who say they have bachelors degrees when all they really have is maybe a high school diploma. They must say that to try to attract educated guys. And then you also have women in their early to mid- thirties who say their students. What they're really saying is that they're unemployed or that they have a $#*!ty menial minimum wage job that they hate. It's possible that they could be going to school. Most likely a part-time evening college course. But who knows? Don't forget the single mothers who say family is important to them. Their probably trying to make it on their own but stay connected to mommy and daddy. They may even be living with their parents from time to time. Sounds like a double standard. A guy gets slammed for "living in mom's basement", but these women get off light just because their women. You also have women who are on here purely for entertainment purposes. They have no intention of actually dating. Don't even get me started on the fake profiles and scammers, or the fact that POF is anti-male. I'm not saying that women don't have a hard time on here, They do. It's just that men have to deal with a lot of bull$#*! too.

In most cases we are rating the people on the site rather than the site itself. The site is clunky and outdated but you can search, message, and retrieve messages so for free you cant really complain about that!

I think that I am at least an average looking 49 year old woman. I have a great job, own my home, stable children, a good home life, financially stable, friendly, and very active. I don't frequent the bars or into any drugs use. So with that said I do not believe that dating sites are going to be the way that I will meet a man who has a similar life style. So much of the online world is based on similar interests and life style but the infamous "I like the outdoors" and even more often I am seeing "ask me" in the profiles rather than someone taking a few minutes to actually put some thought into it is telling me that we are really just looking at the pictures... As an FYI, the "ask me" are to be avoided... just trust me on that!

I met 4 men in the past 2 months from this site. 4 out of 4 of them when I asked for a recent picture the time span ranged from 3 months old to several years. 3 out of 4 when we met I did not recognize from the pictures. Honestly my pictures are within the current month so I don't understand.

Scary interactions -
The guy who sent a picture with maybe 10 Rx bottles next to him and living in someone's basement. Created a new profile after I blocked him and contacted me again.

Another guy who's profile picture was so different from what he sent me on my phone and he didn't actually live in the state that he claimed got angry with me when I told him the his misrepresentation scared me and there was no way that I would want to meet him in person.

I respect the law and law enforcement so the next thing that I am going to mention is very bothersome. I chatted with 2 men in law enforcement that both asked for pictures that I was not comfortable with taking/sharing. They were both very disrespectful and insisted. I did not comply and obviously did not meet in person either one of them... wow.

Several men who wanted to sex text... especially those who message you after 11PM.

The married men... get the call reverse app folks and a phone number early on do your homework!

All of this in a matter of 8 weeks on a dating site. Way more drama and way less fun than I expected. So I am no longer a member of any site and will live my life single until something unexpected happens like we did before the digital age. Be careful out there!

So, I initially signed up for this site, and everything was fine... for a couple of weeks. I was exchanging messages with some women, and all was good. Then, when I went to sign in one day, it said my pw was incorrect. I tried again, same response. I tried again, going extra slow, to make absolutely sure I was entering it correctly, same response. So, I requested a pw reset, and was advised that, if my email address was valid, I would be receiving a pw reset email. I never received such an email, even though my email address was valid and I had been receiving communication from this site (notifying me of new messages). I tried emailing POF through their help link. No response. I tried calling. Was told the only tech support was through email. Tried emailing. AGAIN. No response. AGAIN! So, I created another profile. This time, I had my browser save/remember my password. Then, the same thing happened. I tried signing in using the exact same pw (as saved in the browser), and I was told it was incorrect. Tried again, same. Again, same. So, I requested a pw reset. Again. Had to create another profile just to contact those I was communicating with. Again. Just waiting to be locked out of my third profile. But even that is not the ultimate issue. The ultimate issue is that I have received absolutely no response from POF from my repeated attempts to contact them to get help for this site. I was given the opportunity to contact POF through this site before writing this review, which I did. However, based on my experience, I have absolutely no confidence I will receive a response. With so may personal Web sites, and so many free personal Web sites (like POF), this lack of customer service is absolutely unacceptable. It's not the problems... every Web site is going to have problems. It's the complete lack of customer support that has be so discouraged, and inspired me to write this review.

Not exactly the best experience if you're a guy. No messages. No attention. Nothing whatsoever. If you happen to be a guy who is somewhat good-looking but have little to nothing going for him, even the bottom end of the women on this site wont talk to you. Women in your own backyard don't want anything to do with you. What if you're a unattractive guy? Forget about it. You're less than a blip on the screen. These women wont even look at your profile. I have so many bad things to say about this site that I've forgotten some of them. Just like I ought to forget that I ever tried this site. My advice to you men is STAY AWAY!
