ABC 7 Chicago news reported that a serials of arms robberies targeted POF lonely hearts looking for love. The gummen set up fake profiles on POF. The fake profiles has pictures of beautiful women that has been taken off other sources of the Internet.

These criminals set up a date to meet the innocent unsuspecting men and then robbed them of all their money, jewelry and other valuables. The men were lucky to escape with their lives.

A warning to everyone using any dating site in search of love... Don't take the pictures on the POF profile at face value because it could very well be a fake profile that can cost you, your life.

Use every precautions you can think of to be safe. The Internet is a wonderful technology to meet people but unfortunately the cold blooded criminals think so too!

I on daily bases receive mutual matches form "meet me" feature with ladies that I have never clicked YES on nor I ever would or even seen their profiles. Seems like POF tries to promote profiles of those least attractive ladies whom receive least number of messages by faking things. The hard part of it is that these people contact you and want to follow up and then you have to under go the embarrassing process of letting them know it has been a mistake which upset and offend some. This is why I don't become a paid member which I tried and was even worst.

First off, as opposed to men who could be wholesome, never had kids, never married, a woman almost has to be washed up to go online to look for men being so many sharks abound. The obesity is another thing - this and most other dating sites are loaded with such fatness, it can make a man give up on dating by seeing just what's available on-line.

For POF specifically, it started off fine, but got loaded with too much garbage such as the personality assessment, the owner thinking he knows more about what you should be looking for than what's pertinent to you (suppose you never had more than a couple weeks fun in the sack and are age 40, he thinks you should not find a woman compatible with you in extent of experience - so much for his mathematical abilities).

The owner was way so greedy - could have made everything on the site for free as advertisements could support the entire operation. The originator started pushing fees for one aspect or another to the point that it was useless without paying, reducing the claim of it being free. Not sure how many employees there were before he sold it a couple years back but currently revenues are $100 million for 75 employees. Imagine over $1M in revenues per employee. I suggest to everyone to boycott the site. It's 1% for humanity and 99% for greed.

Best for men to look at totally free porn and maybe in real life, find a gal, even if it's 5 or 10 years being alone at a time. Had women chose better, there wouldn't be so many single moms and good men passed up, making the big dating problem. Women do the choosing, not men. Strange, no matter how bad some men are, women still throw themselves at them. Wholesome men have little chance in the United States and what is shown on-line as far as available women, it's laughable that any man would choose them (on the most part).

Just about every single guy i have talked to on here talked real sweet to me for about a month or two, and then when they thought they had me right where they wanted me, they gave me some B. S. sob story that they needed to borrow money for one of their kids, and "I promise I'll pay you back." They embellished their stories by telling me they were overseas, or out in the middle of the ocean, or that their daughter was in college, and crying on the phone because she needs money for something for college. NONE of them got a dime out of me. As soon as they started asking for money, i deleted them, then blocked them

I am a man, so I do not agree with reviews saying the men's profiles are false, maybe if you try looking for an actual person you will find them, generally if the post boasts a pic of what you think is a gorgeous hunk of a man that probably is too good to be true, you are probably right. Really look at yourself in a mirror, you are not the same person you were in High school, so quit trying to act like you are. Also STOP and I mean STOP posting pics of your whole family, I am not trying to date your family and I have no idea who you are in a picture of seven freaking people, I mean seriously people use a brain. Any ways I hope this helps some people out.

I am a guy who spent his life passing tough exams as well as qualifying as a professional. Sadly, most of the women on plentyoffish in my age group have either already been married, separated, or divorced or they have become single mothers. Such women may be in the same age group as me but age alone is just one factor. Every time plentyoffish sent me a list of my so-called matches, not one of those lists contained any woman that had never been married or that did not have kids. Therefore, I always chose to ignore my so-called matches and search for the types of woman I want to meet and date. Almost on a daily basis, plentyoffish would send me one or more messages telling me that some females had paid a premium to be contacted first, they would be showing up in my matches, and I should send them messages first. But, once again, sadly, the women in my matches were not the type I wanted to meet.

Eventually, a beautiful woman who had no kids, who had never been married contacted me from the US. I live in Europe. On the next day, when I was going to respond to a message she had sent to me, I discovered that my profile had been deleted. I did try to recreate it but the website would not allow it to happwn. I subsequently looked on the website to ascertain what might have happened and it stated that a profile may be deleted: when the person had posted fake pictures on his profile; I had no picture on mine. When it is discovered the person is in fact married; I am single. When a person had been rude to other users; I have never been rude to anyone on either plentyoffish or any other website. It stated a number of other grounds as well, none that applied to me. Initially, I thought about rejoining it to obtain the details of the woman I had met on it. However I detest the people who manage the website to such an extent that I will never rejoin it by using another email address or in any other way. Well it is a free dating site. No one looks like their photo. Its usually photo from a long time ago when they were young and thin. There are a few descent people there, but 99% are looking for a quick sexual hook up and nothing more. Most of the men are ugly, fat, mental and emotional issues. When they send a message it doesn't take long to realize I need to block and delete this fool ASAP. Also pof can and will delete your profile for no reason. There is a guy who is raping women on that site. His name is Robert Simental of La Mirada, he is a tall muscular Mexican man who will rape you if he can. Be careful ladies.

Urgh the women on here are disgusting. My age group 28-40 have to be the pickiest deluded nasty aggressive lot on there. Profiles full of demands and not any kindness happiness or joy. Not hard to see why they're single. Horrible inside and out

It's like the uglier they are the more aggressive and rude they are. Totally messed up. You have no chance of meeting miss right on this site. They have more issues than Vogue
