This site is nothing more then craigslist in disguise. I signed up got my profile done, people load the mailbox of course. Then if you don't answer them asap they report you as a fake account or simply as 3rd grade revenge? 2 times I had my account shut down, im mixed Asian, I had a dozen first messages ask for sexual things, of course I did not reply I had a well filled out bio and recent pics meaning not ones from 1992 like most of the make users. I am a video gamer nerd so that's what I was looking for, it seems like there is nothing but ex jocks most married that cant deal with rejection, while there are some good guys on there far to many scumbags with woman issues, mental issues like abusers, control freaks, married and plan old cheater completely detour any chance of finding the decent people on there. I tried 2 times to the same effect I got reported and suspended? I messaged pof and absolutely played the race card? I in no way violated their rules even keeping a snap shot of my photos and bio, profile? I work so much I don't get time to date I work 3-3 at a bakery so I rarely have time to socialize, needless to say no response from POF. I told POF no where does it state you have to reply to sexual messages, which violate your rules you claim yet when I reported them they are still on? A complete disaster for decent men and woman--- the trolls own POF, there are definitely good men and woman very few on there that are being sidelined by these abusive users

SHAME on POF!

I recently created an account on POF with paying options and very quickly, very clearly, my account got hacked, i could no longer sign in. I was frustrated to not being able to call someone in emergency so i used the couple of emails found on their web site to tell them to cancel my account... No freaking response. Someone is still using my account to cause some harm out there with my pictures and profile and i feel horrible for not being able to do anything. I sent countless emails to POF, I received no response... So i have a lawyer look into that matter and i am hopefull to do something very quickly against their parent company...

Anyone has any legal experience going against them?

Where to start lol this new update they did is so broken. First of the search is not working at all type in a city just to get nothing but wide search if wanted that I would go on smartphone cause that app is a problem on its own anyways clicking on profile and clicking back send you to the first page of the search so makes it pointless and why give the option to disable chat? It's a dating site! Just a few problems among many this site is more time consuming now than before I'm actually thinking of deleting and not coming back. You would think that all the money they are charging to get premium they would hire a programmer that knows how to fix thing's and testes before applying the fix but in today's world everything is fast and done crappy... should have left thing's along and not change it this site now looks like a crappy version of Badoo haha

If you want your account deleted or deemed "fake" because you didn't respond to the sad, pathetic men who report you because of it, join this site. If you want zero assistance or answers from customer service, join it. This is the type of website that human traffickers probably use and get away with it but normal humans get deleted because they are too hot to be on the site so they think you're fake. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this trailer park trash dating site.

So many reasons why I dislike POF so much that I'm only going on when bored to send silly, pointless messages. Tried every type of message in the book but no women ever reply. I did however get a few replies but that was when I removed my picture. It makes me feel like I'm a monster. The women on there are so dam hard to get. They hate just simple hi messages, if I send them a longer message saying how nice they look or their clothes are they instantly block me (even one woman on reddit a member admitted she'd do the same thing if I sent her messages like that too) although my post was aimed at men so what the hell do I say? All the women there are mainly single moms that show off their bodies by showing their tattoos all while their kids are with their fathers plus others even showing their children in photo. Some think their dogs, cats or rabbits as they use some mobile phone app to give themselves animal ears and whiskers. Then there's other women who are already taken who put photographs on with their boyfriends. Finally not forgetting those fake scammers linking you onto porn websites.

Three years ago I was on this site on a free account. Was matched (mutually liked) my a fairly attractive 45-year old woman from my area. Sent a couple of messages to her, never received a reply...
I reopened my account the other day. Guess what, same woman, same picture, same age, mutual like...
I am thinking this is too much of a coincidence.
Other than that, the user base of real members in my area (Belgium) is extremely limited, and the site is quite badly designed from the UX point of view. If you are in an area with a reasonable critical mass of existing users, and if you can tolerate the weird UI, then by all means make your free account...

Has a lot of fake profiles and rules aren't enforced but you can meet a few decent people on there. Me I've met two people I really like as friends now over two years but I don't pay for a membership. I am sure paid memberships find a lot of people.

Like all online dating sites it's all about the money and they will try to nickle and dime you to death!

Joined POF to help me write an article about online dating sites and apps available. The fake accounts are prevalent but that's not the real issue. If you displease a premium account, yours will be blocked. If you don't answer a premium account, you will be reported and blocked. There is no customer service. There is no explanation. "Your account is blocked because we said so". I made 12 accounts to test. Four of them still remain active because I am "nice" to any premium account that messages. The other 8 are blocked the moment I disagree with a premium accounts' view on women and how they are to be treated. The verbal abuse premium accounts allow themselves is staggering. Nothing happens if they are reported. I was subjected to gruesome role play requests, a frightening number of pain related questions and a lot worse! A lot of the suggestions made by POF premium accounts were not even legal and can be viewed as an assault. POF doesn't care. I have reported premium accounts numerous times. They are sill active. Other similar sites are bad and favor their premium accounts but POF is frightening.

I knew this was going to be a bad site when the first profile it showed me was an average looking 44 year old female who's headline said "Please don't be offended if i don't reply" and then went on how you had you to be over 5'8 tall, she was only 5,5. Also must have wit, brilliant sense of humor, positive outlook on life, be well groomed take pride in your appearance and be confident not arrogant... Not wanting much. Went on about how intelligent she is.

Without wishing to be rude she was no stunner & no way could be picky so i immediately thought it this woman is getting overrun with messages then how many are the attractive ones getting? What is it, like 1000 men chasing after 1 woman ratio?

Poor fare. I'll start by saying if they werent online these females wouldn't get the attention they do. I doubt these women get wolf whistled at when they're outside off pof.

They say they want humour but sarcasm & wit goes way over their heads. I send one message saying "bonjour" and she said "why are you speaking French you moron!" They go on and on about banter but have no clue

All act like they doing u a favour & put things like 'let's pretend we met elsewhere' as if they are so stunning they wouldn't be seen on the site. They all want prince charming on his white steed to rescue them regardless of the fact they have low paid menial jobs, have hit the wall looks wise & don't seem to do much exercise. Why would prince charming be interested in them? They might get more success if they looked for someone who wasn't out their league

Women peak at 30 so the vast majority of these women have seen way way way better days but judging by the arrogance on the profiles you wouldn't think it. It isn't 2010 anymore ladies and I don't want to date overweight (although they love to use a few extra pounds) women with an awful personality. They are extremely picky and extremely bitter for what they are offering you.

Oh and they ALL have cats

Females on this site obsessed with finding their price charming rather than a normal guy. The fact they are think they are hot property makes it a shambles tbh. They are very very self centred

I thought I'd see how bad it was. Signed up with my photos and a decent profile. Over 2 days I purposely messaged 50 women I didn't find attractive just to see. Not ONE replied. In fact quite a few blocked me, no idea why as my opening message was pleasant. Is it a power trip they are on, who knows

It didn't affect me as I didn't find the females remotely attractive but what it showed me was these women must be getting tons of messages in order to act the way they do. They should have been delighted someone like myself had messaged them but instead they ignored or blocked me LOL.

All the females on this site believe they're princesses when they are nothing of the kind. Most of them are way beyond their best but still expect to attract a hot guy most of them can't even smile in their photos and all they do is complain. There's no warmth happiness or kindness to be seen

I got a message and I asked her what her name was and she blocked me. I just laughed. Very strange people on here. You can see why they are single. They all think they are too good for you. It's embarrassing really to see how messed up they are. Ryan Reynolds could message them and they'd still find fault

I saw a profile she was in her 40s. She was short and fat and she wasn't pretty. She said if she didn't message back if was because she didn't feel any spark. Oh and you must live local cos long distance doesn't work out!
When I had finished laughing I felt like messaging her telling her people like her can't make ridiculous demands.
Seriously though if someone like that can be picky there is no point men being on these sites. She should have been grateful for 1 message not having the cajones to be picky.

What is with women on this site. They all covered in tattoos and proud of it. They even put it down as a hobby! Nothing says class like pics of an overweight woman proudly showing off her tattoos for all the world to see

They also seem to love putting photos up of the 4 cats and 3 dogs they own but what that has to do with anything I've no idea. All that does it make me think how bad the house must smell

They all put they have the most amazing friends an amazing job and just missing the final piece of the puzzle and love to brag how independent they are (which explains why they're single)

Just low class mostly average looking women all looking for a man way out their league.

You only have to look on social media to realise there is a huge difference between what is happening online and what is happening in the real world. You can't compare the two. People act in a way they wouldn't dare in real life

Of course it's not that at all. It's just a website where irrational, undateable and largely unattractive females sit there shopping online for a guy, write a huge list of what they want ( "I want this, I want that") and wont even entertain replying to any man who isn't a modern day Brad Pitt lookalike
They could get a decent good guy easily but they are all holding out for Mr Perfect~Prince Charming~Christian Gray~Superman rolled into one

I lost count of the headlines which claimed "I'm tired of kissing frogs I'm now ready to find my prince " without any sense of irony or realization that they are frogs themselves and Prince Charming wouldn't be interested in them.

90% of them seem to have have some form of degree education which is extremely dubious to me
