The overall reputation of Plenty of Fish (POF) is largely negative, with customers expressing significant dissatisfaction regarding the quality of profiles and user interactions. Common concerns include a high prevalence of fake profiles, rudeness, and entitlement among users, particularly women, who are perceived as unrealistic in their dating expectations. Many reviews highlight poor customer service, including issues with account management and a lack of effective support. While some users acknowledge the site's potential for connecting singles, the overwhelming sentiment suggests that POF has declined in quality and user experience, leading many to seek alternatives.

At first I refuse to get in the app, but a friend convinced me, the first guy I chat was a scam (David033) he has a profile but he change the pictures, hey ladies be careful with this guy
We all know the majority of Brits are average to Damn right ugly. But if anyone refuses you, so what. It's free have a laugh.
If your political views aren't far leftist liberal your profile will be deleted even if you are a paid member. Even if you've only had your full paid membership for a day you will be deleted. This site is extremely sexist against men. It's mostly run by women who are staunch liberals.
I was hoping to find some one to love. Instead i got nothing but scams. I never join dating site before. In 3 weeks i have 4 ladies ask for money. And POF want money. Please stay away from this site. Thanks God i only join for one month, but managed to get one more payment out of me. I didn't want to use my credit card so i use paypal and paypal let them steal from me. The only thing you going to get from this site is heart. Stay away.
Pof used to be atleast half decent tho you were more likely to get dirty pics then anything tells but atleast they were real people. Pof is now over run with scammers claiming they are military and then speaking in broken English. Pof is not where you go to meet anyone other then scammers. Such a waste of time and energy.
U went through several days of the "meet me" list and at least 60% of the profiles I clicked on were inactive more than a year. Not real good at matching you up with people who live nearby.
You can't change your birthday or your desired distance of referrals with POF First of all they don't have a phone number for customer service. When I sent a request in for the above corrections they sent me back an answer to a totally different question. Since then they have never responded to my second request for the same information
So basically customer service does not exist at Plenty of fish
I got booted before I ever got a chance to use the site! Booted permanently. They said I violated the Terms of Service. I have no idea how. I asked them. They wouldn't say. Nothing disrespectful, no nudity, nothing wrong with what I put up.
Don't waste your time. Can I give a rating below,, zero?
Hey pof... I deleted your app. PERMANENTLY.
NEVER pay for an upgraded POF membership. The number of people who supposedly "Like" you includes such things as memberships that have been deleted, etc. In my case, the purported number was 50% more than the actual. Of course you don't see the actual until you pay.
I met Siria, South Africa, Canada, many oil refinery owners, all liars, and not one decent person from my own state. Every single good looking, well dressed men on the site are scammers. Pay attention to the grammar.
My account at POF was either hacked, migrated or sync with another account and POF wont respond to the constant help requests. The person who now owns my account, a woman, made a token purchase from my account, since my account has my bank information on it but since I am a man looking for a woman she is a hot female the whole male POF membership after her. WTH, how can they not be accountable for this. I have had to cancel my bank cards to avoid this crap from continuing.
Well, it's free to join. After you join, you can post photos, have a minimal profile or spill your life's story. Right off the bat, you can send messages. You can search by age group, ethnicity and location. Most of the profiles have photos. I usually don't even bother with profiles that don't have photos. Plenty of Fish does have a few gimmicks to get you to upgrade. Let's face it, you don't need a dating site to do the filtering for you. Plenty of Fish has plenty of members and in a medium-large city, there will be pickins. You have to realize one important thing. You may not like the majority of the members based on their looks from photos. Those viewing you may not like what they see either. So it's hit and miss all the way. If you send a message, lower your expectations for a response. And be at least courteous to those who message you and you have no interest. It's free. No stupid credits, tokens, likes, kisses, interested etc. to suck up your money.
Plenty of fish is a complete scam and will steal your money and leave you not just alone but broke as well, don't waste your money or time on this fraudulent app!
Full of women who are 3 out of 10 on the looks scale yet all wanting a guy who is a perfect 10
The women I saw were all demanding rude aggressive and very very picky
This despite the fact the were either overweight unattractive or past their best.
The funniest one I saw was a 44 year old 5 foot tall female saying she only dates attractive men over 6 foot and if you didn't fit the bill she'd block you
They should be grateful if anyone messages them nevermind making demands. You don't need to be a genius to work out this won't end up well. They'll be on there for years with their unrealistic nonsense. Not one profile showed any kindness or happiness radiating from it all it was what they wanted not what they could offer
#!... the pof staff that have access to the profiles changes mine, sends emails to people that are not even close to a match.
# 2 POF locks me out and demands my cell number to unlock my account. My cell is private personal information and no way in hell am I giving POF my cell number.
# 3 the women on pof are out to be wined and dined by everyone, in 5 years on pof i have not found one potential match. Very poor pool of people on pof. Im sure it is the same for the women that can t find a decent guy.
#4 if you have tons of free time and are easily amused. Then pof is for you, other than that pof is a waste of time.
With all the fake profiles; now the new POF format is far worse than useless, it's a nightmare! On their FB page, they delete all and any posts with any constructive criticism. No integrity whatsoever. A pure scam site now by the look of it.
I've had POF for 4 years, if the length of time doesn't tell you something's wrong with the site then I don't know what will. After my last round of dealing with a player, so to speak, I just went online and my account has been deleted. Now, my account was adhering to all the guidelines that POF set forth. I was not a fake, phony, scammer, bot, anybody looking for a handout or money and my account got blocked. Maybe it was the last person when I talked to who didn't like the fact that I said no thank you as opposed to ghosting them. And yet there are people, or scammers bots, on there that do exactly the opposite of what I have done. I NEVER once asked anybody for money, to pay my bills, to feed my kids, nothing. YET, there are still "people" on there doing these acts and I had got kicked off. So if anyone decides to read this from the POF team, just know that your site sucks and you have a bunch of POS's on there. Maybe plenty of fish should consider doing a little bit better of a job screening people so that the average person doesn't get screwed over. And to all you fakers that use POF to manipulate and deceive the average person, karma does come back and will get you one of these days. I guess in a way part of me is relieved I don't have to rely on some lame website to try and find a real person.
I've made tons of friends from this site. I been on it for over 13 years with the breaks when I had a boyfriend but as soon as my relationship ended there I was on pof again. I feel for the guys cause I heard some horrorstories but I speak for myself and say it has been and continues to be amazing for me. I love how you can scroll through who checks you out plus it seems like a limitless sea of guys wanting to talk or meet I am honest af on my profile and that is the key with any dating site in my opinion.
I signed up, paid for 3 months and first of all got scammed into a so called Split POF online call system. My c/card was charged twice with $5,000.00. Fortunately my bank flagged it. After a week of membership, I was cancelled. No notice, no explanation, no money back! I did not break any rules, on the contrary. I am a very decent and well spoken person. I hope this saves a few smart people money and trouble.
If you write an honest review based on your own personal experience with "Pof " unless it's a review that praises the site your review will be removed (by trust pilot) because "Pof" have seen fit to report it as "breaching guidelines " blah blah blah... pof has and always will have issues regarding scammers, hackers, accounts suddenly being deleted by pof, subscriptions being rolled over (as pof have made cancellation a minefield for users) zero effort made by pof to address legitimate complaints etc etc. the site is appalling and has been for years. Don't waste your hard earned money look for a more reputable site folks. Pof only wants your cash and to hold onto your profile so it appears to other new subscriber's there's zillions of members when in reality there isn't half the profiles are old members that were locked out of their accounts so unable to delete their active profiles...
Answer: Oh yes, they want you to upgrade and pay! But when you pay you will see these profiles who you liked or who liked you disappear. They were nothing but bait-and-switch. You gain nothing when you pay, it's the silliest way to spend money. Are you looking for hook up or relationship? I wanted a relationship and I was really frustrated by Pof. Eventually I found what I was looking for on https://j4l.com/402007 But I've lost nearly a year on Pof. Not to mention emotional drain and money!
Answer: I just deactivated my account. This site is a sewer. Do not pay anything for this site or any site. I searched for free on other site( even paid ones you can search for free) and I saw the same guys on most of the other sites as well. I'm gonna grow old alone unless luck steps in and maybe I'll meet my guy IRL.
Answer: Yes its possible
Answer: Delete AND contact the company. If you know who took your pictures be sure to include the name on the profile that your pictures were used on, so they can deal with that person. Once you have deleted your profile, everything is GONE. I have never had anybody use my pictures on any other sites. I'm no great beauty, that could be the reason, Still, once your profile is deleted, everything is gone.
Answer: You cannot do it from the mobile site. You need to use your search, example safari and look up pof desktop version and go to the help in the top left. It will walk you thru it, if I remember correctly. Good luck
Answer: First, write to POF and explain. Now, and I mean NOW call up your credit card company and tell them what happened. I am sure POF will not contact you. Make sure to use the word "unacceptable" when describing the consumer service to the CC company about POF. Keep all emails too. Please keep me posted. Thanks Ann B.
Answer: STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMING SITE! Any good you hear from or about it... DUH ITS THE SCAMMERS THAT WORK FOR EM. I been booted so many times due to unpopularity cuz i wont date trash so i get booted they keep your money they are garbage
Answer: Fake doesn't really describe them... more like downright liars!
Answer: Golden rule #1: Do onto others as you would have them do unto you Golden rule #2: Anything that sounds to good to be true, is not. Golden rule #3: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Answer: POF is not free at all, you have to upgrade; become a paying member to be able to do anything interesting.
