I purchased a 3-month membership there as that was the shortest membership you can get which is a negative. What looked like dozen of pages of women in my area became less than 3 pages when I joined, another negative. But the biggest negative by far - their search function doesn't allow you to search for all women on their site, only the age they regulate. So I can only search women 12 years younger than me or any older then me. I contacted support and they said that the site does that and it can't be overruled, something not mentioned before you join. So don't waste your time on POF.

Complete lack of profile validation. Limits on age range searches.

Pretty much the only good-looking people on the site are fake profiles that are trying to sext with you. There are a few decent-looking guys, if you can ever get through the hordes of fake profiles. By the time you are talking to a real man, you are completely cynical.

Also, you are pigeonholed by age group. So if you are a middle-aged woman (pretty much one of the target demographics), you can only search seven years below your age, but men twenty years older than you can view and like your profile. Meaning, lots of gross old dudes can look at you but you have a very limited inventory of decent men to look at... and most of the good-looking ones are fake profiles wanting to sext with you.

The POF messaging is this: If you are a very attractive, athletic, successful, intelligent middle-aged woman, you are out to pasture with men that can't get out of their Lazy Boy recliners.

Apparently, grown men and women need this company to dictate who they are allowed to be attracted to. Bumble is a million times better for women.

Full of really low class humans

Since when have overweight unattractive women who have tons of children been able to be picky? I've never seen such attitude and entitlement in my life. It's like a parallel universe

Pof is full of Hobbits who all want a man who is perfect, great looking, 6foot tall etc despite the fact most of the women are unemployed, short, unattractive, have tons of baggage and brag how their children will always come 1st and how they love tattoos.

I recently joined this site, but I'm glad I decided to delete my account on the same night, I've always enjoyed reading about people and how they explain who they are.
Unfortunately I can't believe how many female profiles look so desperate in finding a man, not to mention there weren't a lot of profiles where they were smiling either.
This site is owned by Match.com now, so no doubt it will be getting expensive..

I understand that you get what you pay forbut my Lord POF is bad. An endless stream of fake profiles is annoying but tolerable. My problem is that my profile was completely unusable. I had to reset my password every day, always reusing the same password, because it wouldn't let me login, I couldn't send emails, my pics kept disappearing are just a few problems. I emailed POF for 9 days and got no response, They really don't give a crap. I laughingly received a notice to stop soliciting even though I couldn't send an email. It may be free but its still not worth it,

Any man on there that has asked for my # this year? Always turned out to be a scammer asking for money. When chatting for a while u wanna meet? Dude has excuses that " leaving town/dog died/pipes burst"? Not to mention, lures u off to try to con u for money. Married men on there posting fake pix it's ok. Some post pix of dolls it's okay. I tell a dude I don't want to give out my #? I get flagged and my account gets deleted. It's gotten worse everyday. I prob got better luck writing to serial rapist in jail stay away!

All the women are either snobs or depressed etc I haven't blocked by these snobs more times than i can count. If you are a shy guy like me its you'll get more bang for your buck (pardon the punt) by seeking social therapy and seeing a psychologist and learn how to be social in public to meet people, or join social groups.

One message I received told me I was too short, she was 5,4 but only dated men 6 foot plus and I was 5'11, another one said I was a toxic star sign, another wanted men who only had hand tattoos. Imagine being that picky

The website has been jazzed up but doesn't make no odds, its not the site its the class of people it attracts that is the problem

The women love to complain the men is full of pervs, timewasters and oddballs and maybe it is but look at their stuff.
They make no effort, they cant be bothered to fill their page out and tell you to ask, they cant even put what their interests are, the photographs are either upside down, years old or just strange. Why would I want to talk to someone who is too lazy to fill a profile out?
If you actually do find someone to talk to they either have an attitude or they cant even hold a conversation and use emojis or just say LOL all the time

Having recently changed their format I can no longer refine my search by age and distance. This means that I get shown women who live miles away who are about the same age as my children! Wake u[ POF and get it sorted unless of course there are so few members that Half the searches would show that nobody is a match.

They allow 1 message a day. Be careful they also have fake accounts messaging you and sending likes when it's actually accounts set up by the company to scam you to pay and see it. Pof has become one of the worst sites out of them all. Try others don't waste your time on here

I met the love of my life on pof on here in 2018 we are happy together now for over 3 years happy amd married

They warn you on their sites to be aware of scammers. But they are the ones doing most of the scamming. My friend used to work for them that I talked to in another country. She told me that they have large offices set up with 100 computers or more and higher poor people for starving and have no money and need money to feed their children to send up the computers and scam people on POF they tricked them and get money from them they claim they're a good dating site but they're not

The females want you to ignore the fact they are past their best and have numerous children, they want you to ignore the fact they aren't very nice people and can't string a sentence together and want only the top 5 % of men to contact them. You must be good looking, 6 foot tall and be rich to get a reply. Do they really think a top 5% man is going to be on here and why would he message them?

Why is it they all want to settle down and find a good man now they're all carrying extra weight, have children and are in their 40s? Why didn't they want a good man 20 years ago when they were attractive and had no children? Why didn't they want Mr right then,?

It's the only site where unattractive unpleasant females can be choosy.

Uninstalled the app, the standard of women is horrendous

I live in Bergen County NJ, was on pof several years ago, met nice ladies. And free subscription. Can't see why anyone would ever need to pay. Had as many meet & greets as I could handle; calling & meeting was never an issue.

I've been on 4 months. For past 2 months, the site has been worthless. Endless fake profiles, and endless profiles with same photos I recall seeing over 5 years ago. Suspicious that many profiles with attractive photos of women are pof operatives, in other words, fake profiles designed to lure you. However. I've never paid for a pof subscription. But my free account is no longer active. I deleted my profile.

I joined POF because I was hoping to possibly meet the "One" from the hundreds of local profiles on the Site. Unfortunately as soon as I signed up I began conversing with what I thought was a attractive lady from Chesapeake who matched quite a few of the qualities I was looking for in a potential GF. Shortly after we began texting the individual on the other end of the computer requested I talk with them thru Google Chat... but once we began chatting on Google it was very apparent that the person I was conversations with was lying and was not who the profile said they were. To make this short... I Spoke with 3 more people on the site who also turned out to be Fake.
I finally deleted my profile because I have no desire to Cast my Pole into a pond of Scammers. I fault the People who run POF for not making it more difficult for these fake profiles to be created and operate on their site.

I hate to give anybody a bad review but, I was on plenty of fish probably 10 or 12 years ago and it was pretty good. Now it's all this live stuff for you talk to people and send them gifts(monetary), And roses and things and the really bad part is anytime you find somebody you think is interesting and write them they automatically block you. This tells me they work for plenty of fish and they're just trying to keep you interested to re-sign up every six months. It really sucks, total rip off

I've been quite active on POF for 4 years now & I always kept 3k credits on my profile to gift streamers on versus & barely used the credits & one day I woke up to 400 credits left remaining on my account... I never gifted anyone 2600 credits & would never gift anyone that much but I cannot seem to figure out why my credits have disappeared; I just know that I WASN'T HACKED... THIS A POF ISSUE!... PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLENTY OF FISH APP PEOPLE

Today is 9 October 2022. My last POF review was in June 2022. The site has drastically changed in those 4 months. I noticed that appx. 85% of women have "disabled their chat feature" i. E. you can not send them a message of any type. Also, once you attempt to contact a woman who has not disabled her chat feature, a screen pops up and in order to send a message, you must now pay. Big Change! Guess I'm finished with POF. Please see attached photo's delineating my above comments.
