The site is a scam pls do not fail victim to waste ur find,I just joined on Saturday 01/08/2023 the very first night I had pple turning up nd I was able to talk to 2 when we exchange number, the first guy is racist, the second one cannot prove his identity that prove his scamming using someone picture as his profile,so pls beware it's full of $#*! for the past 3 days my account is not Visible nd am unable to receive any messages of likes nd I've been sending likes to pple which pple can't respond or like me this is the worst dating app I've never come across

Been on there fir years and had no problems. All my pics were of me or had me in them, no nudity. Was respectful. But tried to log in today and my account was deleted. Absolutely garbage.

In the review I wrote a few months ago, I said that at least 5O% of profiles on POF are fake. I stand corrected: easily 80% are fake, many of which POF uses for marketing purposes. As for the remaining 20% of profiles, good gawd. Downright depressing. POF search results are like a study of the drastic decline in the physical, mental, social, and economic well-being of men (and probably women) in the last 25 years or so. It's pretty bleak. A tip for those on here complaining about profiles that have messaging deactivated: in all likelihood, those profiles are fake.

99% of the women are looking for rich guys or just to get laid. All conceited women. The 1% are few and far between.

This dating site is for people that only want to have sex. Not to get to know you and have a meaningful relationship. Has no intentions to take the time to get to know you or your family. Especially be leery if he says he is Christian.

Want to see who likes you. Show women who are great distances away. Complete garbage compared to 4 years ago.

I've been on and off this site for years. Tried paying sites but what's the point? POF is juts as bad. I'd rather be on a free site and lied to than pay for a site and lied to. Any dating site is a numbers game. Some it works for and others.nadda. The quickest way to get rid of a guy on a site is to give them your phone number. I'm off of it again. Realized. I'll probably never meet my match. Oh well.

If you do find someone who seems relatively normal the chances are they will have zero conversational skills and it'll be like pulling teeth.

I would say it's about a 1 in 50,000 you might meet someone you decent on there

Those soulless turds at POF totally suck.! I was a member about 10 years ago, met someone, and deleted my profile. I went back on in 2020,at the end of covid. Wow.! Had it changed.! The search parameters are a complete waste of time. They won't let you narrow the radius to your location, I don't want to date someone 50-60 miles from me, let alone 150-300 miles.! Also, you can only send 1 message a day,since this bunch of losers were bought out by those grave robbing liar/scammers over at Match. Con That's right, Match.con for con artists. They will lie and scam you, by sayimg someone " likes " you, but don't believe it.
From looking at the profiles on there, I surmise most are fakes, and the ones that aren't, are scammers working for POF, or CHEATERS. The bottom line is, save your money, go out and meet someone you can SEE and TALK to in person. It's better than being catfished by these bottom feeders.

OK let's get this straight right from the start, POF is definitely not a scam site, I have used it for many years and have met some nice people and well.not so nice, it works or at least it did, I rejoined several months ago only to discover they've changed the format. So now it seems you can only send one message every 48 hours?unlike before where you had a decent message quota, I realise they want you to subscribe but It's supposed to be a free site and now it's just unusable and rubbish really

I have been on and off this site for a number of years. I just put a new profile on today. In the past you could write emails for free. Now they want to charge you to send email. The women are the same group of delusional losers that have been on there for years. Some more than 10. And POF expects a person to pay for that garbage. I'm curious. To the person who changed your policy. How much crack did you have to smoke to come up with this absurd, insane police to pay? I deleted my profile around 20 minutes after setting it up. POF should go the way of FTX. The trash bin of history.

POF continues to go downhill in quality, and at an alarmingly fast rate. They're essentially doing everything in their power to get users to pay for their ridiculous subscription. 99.9% of the users are bogus. The site is a complete and utter scam. Quantity over quality. The absolute worst dating app imaginable. They're desperate because they're no longer making money off of advertisements. Do not become a paying customer. You've been warned.

The POF site has a history of hosting fraudulent identities who've asked me personally for money- which I've Never done. However, with the nasty men and nasty comments that I block, they retaliate and I'm removed?! Lol- Classy Site…. Though Women never pay as they Need all of the help that can get…. POF likely needs to look around as they've competition and cannot afford unethical processes.

So rather than YOU get to choose the parameters of what you are looking for, POF's algorithm dictates what they will allow you to see. So let's say you're a man or woman that gets along with people 5-10 years younger than you. Nope. POF won't allow it. So you could be 35 and want a partner that's 26/27 but no. They say nope. So then they show you profiles that are 8-10 years older than you and NOTHING within your search parameters. So what's the point of having search parameters if they're going to dictate what you can or cannot look at? Then add in the fact that there are plenty of accounts using catfish images that have been circulating the dating app sites for years. They're "support" is also rather useless because you you ask "why can't I see profiles in my desired age range" they give you some dog and pony show about how THEY feel that the "best" relationships are within a specified range. This was not disclosed at the time of sign up and I want my $80 back you cheating bastages.

Plenty of fish was created and owned by Marcus friend and it used to be a great dating site 100% free to its members with no limitations. The match.com website purchase plenty of fish for Marcus friend for 1 million in 2017 since then plenty of fish is gone to $#*!. Marcus friend was smart enough to be happy with making $10,000 a day from Google ads. Apparently the $#*!s at match weren't happy with that so now their site is no longer free. Not only does plenty of fish now make $10,000 a day from Google ads but it only allows people to send one or two messages and then prompts or rather harasses to pay to upgrade do not waste your time with this app.
