I unfortunately have been on POF too long. So maybe with my recent issue may be a blessing in disguise? Way back when...the site was so much better than what it has become in recent years. I have learned who has a fake profile and have called them out on it. There has been so much of that in recent years. My profile was usually hidden ( where I could pick & choose), on rare occasions I would unhide briefly to see what happened. I used POF as entertainment at times, reading profiles LOL.

I am putting this comment on, because at one point...I had a picture posted of a campfire( deleted to add a different pic...due to the limit), and at a later time tried to add it back ( mind you...numerous times...different dates), only to get warning notifications that I was not complying with their rules and posting an inappropriate picture. LOL That was months ago. And this past week, I was asked to verify my account by taking a picture( having to give POF permission to use my camera). Well...I tried it numerous times ( using my phone & chromebook). I would get the message pop up saying...Success, and a moment later saying there was an error. I gave up. A couple days later ( today), I tried signing in...and now my profile has been removed. WTF? So to anyone that is reading these comments...especially men...I would say...don't bother trying. I heard they now charge men to sign up...never used to be that way. Way back it was FREE to anyone...only would pay...if you really needed to know if someone you messaged read it.which I thought was pretty dumb if you paid for that LOL. If they did and didn't reply...move on. You used to be able to see who "liked you" too...for FREE, and when they were last online. The changes over the years have only benefitted someone's pocket...but the service sucks now. Time to move on...

I started using POF as a 45 y/o white male looking for a woman to date between the ages of 32 and 50. I designated myself as a non-smoker in an Atlanta Metro area of the country and elected that I do not date smokers. POF consistently sent match options for Lexington KY, Columbia SC, Panama City FL etc. Note, these are all about 5 hours or more from my location, and they do not have a way to limit the mileage of who is presented. POF also has no options for filtering out smokers. Their security scans are abysmal as about 75% of the options presented as a match are scammers, bots or some other fake account. Long story short, do not waste your money. Also, don't recommend eharmony. None of these sites offer a partial (buyers remorse) refund of any kind. By definition, the POF site is a scam.

If you are a woman seeking the old version of LOVE including honesty security and above all safety. Men on this site are predators of vulnerable women and free sex. Most do not upgrade shave or have clean shaven presentation. It's a DATING HACK for lazy self care people. Now messed up by human trafficking under cover cops and transgender.

This site is full of nothing but scams and offers of prostitution. It's sick, no wonder it's free. These people should be ashamed of themselves. This site is complete garbage stay away you've been warned!

This app is a joke. First of all, the men listed in NEARBY are mostly NOT nearby. Apparently, POF thinks Florida is only 10 miles from NJ (example), and aren't they supposed to show you only men that fit your criteria? They don't! AND MY LIKES shows men I have NOT liked, and would not have even looked twice at. Don't pay for this!

The new owners have allowed and added many fake profiles. They highly restrict your contact activities. Saying you have to wait 24 hrs but actually after each messages its much longer than 24 hours. Plus they now drop conversations that you have started and only let you continue conversations for a very short time.

I have used pof several times but leave after about a week. I won't pay as I don't believe in it. You should be able to meet people for free. So no, you can't see likes.

First issue: Many of the potential dates provided by pof.com as available to us thru searches on their site, had communication disabled, so in point of fact, they're

Second issue: When we tried to remove those profiles from our likes we found we could not do this. As far back as Dec 2021, POF advised they hope to add
His feature. They never did and obviously rely on any answer to put off their members.
Third issue: They repeatedly sent often self-serving, form letters that don't respond to issues or they asked questions they already knew the answer to and
Followed that with another or the same unresponsive, self-serving form letters not addressing issues. Based on their promises to fix this, and the offer to us
Of a discount, we probably ill-advisedly, acquiesced and paid to become an upgraded member. We continued to have same issues with unavailable women
Showing up on our searches. This might be false advertising but at the very least it's dishonest to consumers.
We paid for premium (service) because we wanted to find available women but about half the ptentials they sent us in our very specific search had messaging disabled!
Even for free service, this is just not prudent or honest.
After repeatedly writing pof.com without resolution we finally asked our credit card company to reverse the charges based on the above.
Forth issue: In response pof.com removed us from their site in 2022. They took the unfair position that anyone who cancels payment was compromised.
A self-serving way to stifle complaints and not make changes. They maintained this position knowing we were not compromised.
A very unfriendly, imprudent response. This is just wrong and hurts consumers.
At the very least they should have allowed us to remain as a (free) member.
Fifth Issue: When we rejoined under another email as a free member they again removed us with this self-serving email:

After a thorough review of your profile, I can confirm that the correct action has been taken on your profile and your account will remain closed due to violating our Community Guidelines and Terms of Use.
Please note that the account closure is permanent and any future accounts will be automatically removed meaning that you will not be able to create a new account on Plenty of Fish, nor will you be able to retrieve or reactivate your previous account. We appreciate your understanding."
Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.
There are many good dating sites out there POF is most definitely NOT one of them.

Please do not use, no normal women on this site, after 3 months all except for 1 weirdo was a scammer. DO NOT GIVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER THEY GIVE YOU!

I have double checked my only 2 emails I am using, and do not have an active account with pof. Yet somehow someone was able to send me a screenshot of my profile there yesterday. The properties of this picture also were dated Aug 3. I contacted pof with proof of identity but they are not willing to help me with the email used, they say I have to log in with the email the account was created with, no care that someone may have stolen my picture or created a scam account.

Don't waste your time or money. This site is loaded with scammers trying to get you to install chat apps to get into your phone. When you complain or report the person POF bans you for violating community standards. You are better off paying for a service than using this free garbage.

This is the worst dating site. It of full of BOT profiles that POF puts up and 90% of the other profile are disabled from messaging. This is POF's way of making the site look like there are more profiles then there really are. It is very rare that a real person is actually behind the profile.
Avoid this site, POF is run by scammer and encourages scammers to join to make their membership look better.

Instead of using the headline section for a friendly opener, most of them just complain

Very few women actually make the effort to impress a potential partner, they're more concerned with complaining and demanding.

Lots of them just come across as extremely picky and very bitter.

You are dealing with very low-quality females who expect to find the man of their dreams, regardless of their looks, attitude and amount of baggage they have. The worse they are, the pickier they seemingly become, which sums online dating up.

Most seem to have difficulty even forming a sentence and seem to dislike men because of what's happened in their past. Lots of them can't even smile in their photos. The messages I had were from people who had no idea how to have a conversation that didn't involve LOL.

Just an unfriendly, toxic site.

When you let POF know on your profile that there is crypto scammers in the site, POF will block your account preventing you from logging back in. The error screen is my proof of purchase and scam that they do. Do not go to POF site at all it's a scam from India.

There was a time when PoF was the dating app of choice, believe it or not, but you wouldn't know it anymore. PoF has done nothing but paywall every possible feature it can, and let hordes of scammers and bots roam the site. Furthermore, they actually implemented an algorithm that gives you matches from fake profiles while you are out of swipes to entice you to buy a membership. Of course, those matches all vanishes within minutes sometimes. PoF is just as scummy as the rest of them. Avoid it for your own peace of mind, you aren't meeting anybody on there.

Of all the dating sites online, this one takes the cake for being hands down WORST. First, the site does not allow you to date within the criteria you choose. They are going to dictate to you which women at which age group you are going to date. You have -0- say. Run as fast as you can. So if i am 57, why are they sending me women that are 77 and OLDER? Because they don't give a $#*!. They only want your money. This is the lowest quality site out there, don't waste your money, go buy a pizza instead.

The women are the ugliest. Compare them to tinder and bumble and hinge, 100x better. Not sure why, but that's how it rolls. Don't waste your time and money on this $#*!ty site.

The app functionality is awful and the customer service (oxymoron) non-existent. I do not recommend this dating app.

The creators of Plenty of Fish has no business sense, and this day's economy they expect people to pay for a 3-month membership, we all know that it's crazy, plenty of information make much more money if they do the membership monthly for $20, this way people can pay for one month at a time that can't afford to pay for 3 months. Whoever is doing Plenty of Fish advertisement and membership fees are not smart business people. They're losing more money and gaining none with that 3-month startup fee.

I've never seen so many one parent families on a site. It's depressing, all of them can't wait to tell you how their children will always come first. Add in lots of overweight women, lots of women covered in tattoos and females lacking even basic education and it's a terrible place to try and find a partner.

If that's not bad enough, they all sit there saying they're looking for Mr Right and are currently taking applications. I've never seen so many deluded, bitter, spiteful, arrogant, ego-driven, messed-up people on one site. You have absolutely no chance of finding anyone remotely half decent/normal. They have no self-awareness at all.

Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy
