We only use google play once in a while to download books for my husband on our tablet. I wanted to download some books for him for an upcoming trip and bought a $25 google play card at our local store to pay for it. I went to download the card within just an hour of buying it and got an error message that said "we need more information, please click here". When I do that it said I have to fill out a form and submit pictures of my card and receipt which I did. I also tried calling the phone number on the back of the card but due to being short staffed, they have not live customer service to help you have to do everything on line. Well after a couple days of waiting I got my response. I got a short letter that simply said your appeal request is denied. WTF! NO reason, nothing, just "denied." So now I am out the hard earned money I spent because their system is screwed up and there is 0 customer support. I will NEVER buy anything with them again. Sad a company has to treat people this way.

My daughter got a $100 google play store gift card as a birthday present. I had to redeem it as she is 9 years old. She cannot use the card & google would not let me use it for what she wanted for nor would they refund it to me do therefore $100 wasted & gone with no help from Google. Do wasted money. Google is a horrible company.

Money grubbers

This company gets you hooked on playing their games by sending you a link for free points, then when you make purchases they literally steal your money, giving you very little bonuses on the games and low pay out points, until you run out and want to play more. That is stealing and taking advantage of an addiction they are creating and offering you nothing in return, but another link for a few more points so you will continue to purchase more. There should be a class action lawsuit against them, and they should be made to give back everything they've stolen.

I am so disgusted from this company that I a 20 year Andriod user will be purchasing an iPhone and going with the. These morons charged my cc for almost 200 dollars and refused REFUSED to refunded me. All they ever say is it's our policy yada yada they are absolute thieves! Because of this, my family is switching companies as Google Play can not be trusted.

First of all, HBOMax sucks. For over a month, shows will just start buffering and then stop working. You can't delete the app to reinstall bc it comes default with the Samsung TV I bought, so they won't let you remove. So, I decided to try and cancel.
Oh boy. I realize the HBO subscription doesn't come up anywhere on my subscriptions in Google.
Youtube TV is there, but no HBO. So, I call HBO first. HBOMax says, "not our problem - we manage subscriptions through google play. But we can confirm your account is through Google Play"
Then, Google Play customer support says - "We can't find your account, so we can't help you." Well, that's helpful :/ That's the reason I'm calling, why am I getting charged every month if I don't have an account.

So, I'm stuck paying for a service that doesn't work because HBOMax won't let me cancel, and Google Play says there's no evidence of an account - but BILLS me, and I get emails from them all the time.

I'll end up telling my bank to block charges, and then Google probably send me to collections. Feels so corrupt.

I made a free trial on a google product and then cancelled before it was over, but they went ahead and deducted funds, I requested a refund from them and it was granted but I had to wait for 2 months claiming that my payment method was blocked which is actually not true, like how is it difficult to refund a to a card when you actually deducted from it? Anyways I got 2 other cards and the refund was not procced on any,. On the forth card they claimed they proccesed the refund (which I never got a receipt of) but the transaction they claimed to have refunded on my cards history it shows that the transaction was not a deposit but another deduction trial which was declined since I had insufficient funds. They told me to contact the card issuer about it which I did and the card issuer looked at it and requested that if the refund was really made then google should provide a receipt or a screenshot of the successful refund on their end, I asked google for the prof and they never gave it. At last they said they can't assist me further with the case.
In short, this was my honest experience with them, they stole my money!
Be warned don't even try to purchase from them or adding your payment method to their site,
They will deduct money from your account you will not get your refund back, they will keep taking you in circles. Its just that its not possible to upload screenshots here I could have shown you all of it.
Please don't! Don't dare! Mine is gone you better keep yours!

I am livid with Google Play!

I moved overseas a while ago and changed my account residence to the appropriate country so I could use a Google Play Gift Card in the app store. After trying to enter the code to redeem it, I was told there was a problem with the processing because the card I bought could only be used in the country it was bought, which is where I'm currently residing in. Well no duh! I live here now and changed the residence on the account just like it told me to and I was still hit with an error.

I contacted their customer service, which only works through chat and email... absolutely ridiculous. And they said they'd send in a request if I could provide the receipt. I found it, sent in the photos and had no response for a few days. I chatted back in with another agent who said they'd send in a request, but that it should only take about 48 hours. Well 10 DAYS LATER, I still had no response from them. I chat back in completely livid and am told that this time they will escalate the case for me. Big whoop! They said they'll get back to be within 48 hours when their specialty team takes a look. What else am I supposed to do, but accept my fate to have to wait again >:(

They finally get back to me and tell me it's my fault because the card can only be used in the country it was bought (which is where I freaking live), I'm too young (I'm literally almost 30), or the place I bought it from is not authorized (a 7/11 Convenience Store isn't authorized?). So I'm on here pissed that after making me wait 2 weeks, they basically flushed my gift card down the drain. It sucks that I have to use this store with any phone but Apple, so I'll just have to cave and get an iPhone so I don't have to deal with this BS again. ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE!

Horrible customer service. They don't care about fraudulent purchases made off of devices. So be careful because you will eat the money going through them. $160 in 5 minutes my bank even flagged it and shut down all debt cards. But Google said $#*! YOU basically. The girl I talked to even said yes luckily you called ASAP. Because it is pending we can do something about it. NOPE 3 days later they let it go through. And said oh sorry we can't do nothing about it. Will be going back to Apple as soon as my phone contracts are up. Never had Horrible costumer service with Apple. First time I had to contact Google and it was a huge $#*! you basically.

I just do I have a notification on my debit card Google Play stole money off my debit card Google Play social impact no idea what that is never signed up for it $8 and some change if they are doing this to every person that has anything to do with Google Play they are making millions they are crooks and it's my opinion they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law it will not let me upload the photo of the transaction just a warning be very careful Google Play they are not honest

For almost a month, Google play has prevented me to get my emails. I do not know how google stole my email from Gemail.com. I never had any problem from gmail. Itry to contact Google by phone and there is no living agent to talk to. They give me instruction how to identify myself and I put my password and get rejected. Regardless what I do, they do not let me receive my emails. After reading the critical reviews of others, now I understand perfectly well, why so many people are unhappy about this company.

You rate apps in your store based on sales not reviews. Whether the product is good or not you guys will push it to the top even though it may rip people off and it's only because you're getting paid from them to do so. There's no service to correct what wrong you and your 3rd party apps do to customers in your store. Your advertise FREE on some many apps that are NOT free. Should be shut down and redone with new people that arent greedy. In process of removing everything I have thats linked to your corrupt company in any way.

Somehow my google store credit has been frozen for a week now. I can not make a purchase because I keep getting 'payment error' according to wich 'I should be in the US to use google credit and gift cards'. I live in Illinois, and I was able to use half the amount of the gift card before it got frozen. Customer service agent says I am not old enough to make a purchase? Or I am not in the US or I didn't get the card from an authorized retailer... really? Even after sending her the receipt of the purchase from Walmart with Walmart's addres and purchase number on it. A whole week and they don't even know how to solve it
