I've shopped petco stores for years and just recently tried petco.com to save some time. Huge mistake. Website is not user friendly if trying to use the repeat delivery option. Coupon codes never seem to work, and shipping is always charged even though it is advertised as "free" with order over $49. This is a multi-million dollar company! If they can't figure out how to compile a user friendly website, I think it's time to move on to a company that does. Sayonara Petco!

I sometimes shop at Petco for my tropical fish and filters, light hoods, etc.

It seems that when they have fish on sale - they usually are out of stock of many that are on sale.

Their tanks are hooked up on a community filtration system which means if there are sick fish in one tank - then the whole section is exposed to the disease.

Sometimes they have good sales - but I'm usually too afraid to buy them because of the community filtration system. When I do buy them, I put them in a quarantine tank for at least a month.

Sometimes enough live to make it worth the price and other times, I have to save the dead fish and take them back for a refund or credit towards supplies.

Store vrs. Online isues

Every time I go to my local store I always have to tell them of the sales on their website. And half the time, I really should just buy it online and have it shipped to my house because the store locally is ridiculous and the employees are nasty individuals that don't really care about your pets, they only care about the money you are spending and would rathe ryou not save anything.

Petco Online

Love Petco online - there are tons of things they have in the webstore that are not available in my local store. I highly recommend looking here for home delivered dog food and cat litter - that way you can schedule it and not ever worry about running out. Just a thought. Lots of good toys and snacks here too for your furred friends.

I love our Petco. The staff is amazing, we get our dogs food there once a monht, and she always gets excited when we get to the parking lot and go in! They have good sales and good coupons too.

I'm sorry if this is overly negative but I have repeatedly had issues with you website and had no choice but to shop in-store only. I really like the local Petco here and never had issues with the store or staff. The local petco store is amazing but not there website. As a regular customer and a family that spends hundreds of dollars at your store on a monthly basis I hope to be treated better in future. I have attempted to order from your website 4-5 times in the past few months, each time I added items to my cart but never ending up purchasing them for the following reasons: ERRORS, errors, errors on your website. I've tried to apply currant coupon/promo codes none of which ever worked (errors allows occurred). Free shipping did not work, % off never works, sometimes my Pecto Pals Rewards points don't/won't apply due to errors on your webpage. Then there is the payment issues... I've repeatedly saved my information and everytime it goes back to old card information, everytime I re-enter my information every single time I try to order from your website... this is annoying and ridiculous. I have contacted your customer service, I tried online without response, so then I tried the suggested phone #, repeatedly calling the customer service number and no one picked up... after being frustrated I emailed customer service and finally received a response that was to late to help me order online. I have tried to load my $5 rewards dollars to my card and everytime it fails to work... so my only option is to print them and use them in-store only or lose them. The Local Petco management & staff are all very nice & I've never had problems with them, have honored all coupons, points and will try to fix any problem they can, very knowledgeable and always helpful.

Petco does have a great selection of pet supplies but we think most things are way overpriced.

We rarely get a discount on anything we purchase even with their discount card.

Honest People

In a honest review, I have not shopped at petco for a period of time only because there is a closer pet store less than a mile from me. However when I was shopping there there was always someone avaliable to help you.It is just one of those stores you never have to go look for someone if you need help. They even offer you help out to the car if you have large items. That is taking true pride in your custormers, especially if you happen to have a dog along side.
I think the other thing I think is extraordinaryabout Peto, if someone doesn't know the answer to your question you will not leave until they have found the answer! Awesome Petco. It's so frustrating to walk out of a store where someone just says "i don't know" and walks away". Kudos to you!

PetCo frequently offers discounts to existing users via email. The flash sales are usually GREAT... up to 40% off. Through their rewards program, we earn 10% coupons regularly. I find their website user friendly. Reviews are helpful. The cart saves items long-term if you're signed in. You can review past orders. Shipping has always been prompt. Users are notified of shipping dates or backorders (sometimes orders come in multiple shipments). I'm a fan!

Love this store!

Love this store! Any issues I have with them they take care of ASAP! I have never had a complaint with them (I have used them for our pets needs for over 3 years now). I will say the prices for Nature's Variety Instinct food is over priced, I do not buy this from them because of it being over priced.

I was worried about using PETCO.com because of all the scary reviews I found, but I did anyway because I could save $100 just from using the website to buy my ferret stuff instead of going in store. I ordered my products on a Saturday (little toys, bowls and a large cage) and knew it wouldn't be processed until the next business day. And when it was, everything arrived on that following Wednesday, which means everything took a total of three days! Which was absolutely wonderful! Not a thing missing, no hassle, no hidden awful secrets.

Then we went to pick up my ferret from a store and it was really nice compared to others we went to look at (we all know some can be pretty bad). The animals were clean, there were people to help, the manager was great and even gave me a picture of my new ferret they had on file along with all his paper work and vaccine records. They didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need or that was expensive. The manager even explained about if we have any troubles with the new ferrets to bring them back to him in 15 days to see what's going on at no charge to us. All in all I would say it was a wonderful visit and will be back!

The only thing I would complain about is that my PALS rewards isn't working, but as soon as I sent them an email they replied next day, explained what was happening and fixed it as soon as their system was updated.

I really like shop at Petco. This website provides products for a large level of pets comparing to the other sites. Petco.com is always well- efficient and very friendly with the clients. This site has 530 stores and 8 products distribution centers. This site has a great selection and online transitions. Delivery times fluctuate relying upon the cargo choice, weight of the thing, item accessibility, and terminus.
