Actually, I know what VAT is, It means value added tax. However, perfume.com thinks it's a license to charge Canadians extra. We don't have VAT. They explain it away by saying it covers the duty charged by. Canada Customs. There is NO DUTY on shipments under $100 Can. But perfume.com charges it anyway.

Wide selection of perfumes, and item arrived quickly once ordered. However, when I opened the perfume, it smelled nothing like a previous bottle (bought elsewhere) I had of the same product. I used the "chat" function to connect with customer services who expressed I may have gotten an "old batch", and expressed I could return the item (as they do not do exchange).
I paid $16 to ship the item back, and then was only refunded $50, of the $80 I paid. When I inquired, I was informed that the cost of original shipping, and tax were taken out of the refund price.
So un sum, I am out over $30 for an item that I do not own that had apparently been on 'old batch' to begin with.
I will not recommend, or use again.

My experience was fantastic for first time ordering. Our items come within the perfect time frame. Everything I was looking for & for a much more better price than what I was originally paying.
