I needed to do a criminal check on a possible co-worker so I used this site. The information provided was incomplete as far as reason for arrest and dates of arrest. General information. I gather more detailed information by doing a city court search. I am sorry to say I did not check reviews first. I also cannot find a way to leave a review on their site, which should have been a red flag to me that they are not competent.
I signed up for this for $27.99 for one month. You could also sign up for 3 or 6 months with recurring monthly fees. Mine was set up to automatically charge me again every month which was not stated anywhere or noted on my receipt. Very deceptive. I searched 3 people I know, all of whom had marriage/divorce records. Nothing came up. One had a DUI and the other had multiple felonies and had done multiple prison terms. He even had a minor sex offense. None of this came up. All that comes up are age, relatives, addresses and phone numbers. That can all be found for free on Google or Whitepages.com. My friend uses TruthFinder and although it is not thorough either, some criminal records and tax liens did show up. DO NOT use Peoplewhiz. It is a scam.
I ran a report on myself. Since I knew all that it might find, I felt this was a good way to check it. In fact, I wasted $29.95. There is a lot of information "out there" which it should have been able to find (such as my first marriage) but it did not. It said my second wife and I were married, but also reported that we were divorced, which is totally untrue. Very incomplete or inaccurate data on phone numbers and email addresses. Essentially, a total waste.
I wasn't going to pay even the lowest fee of $27 for my searches. PeopleWhiz are very sneaky. Right when I logged out from the site I was told that for only $1.00 I'd have unlimited access for five days. PeopleWhiz failed to mention that the only way a person can see any real information such as criminal records is by paying $27. Paying a $1.00 entitles a person to only see basic information, date of birth and a very basic address history. This site is so misleading. It's just one of the many online people search sites that take advantage of people.
I looked up myself, my husband and my granddaughter. I cannot believe that this information is on the internet and it is totally inaccurate. Name and address was correct, THAT IS ALL. Relatives were wrong, former addresses were wrong, [hone number were wrong and all of us were married to people we do not know. This is really unacceptable and should be banned.
Out of curiosity I ordered a report on myself. 95% was wrong and/or unrelated to me. This service is a joke/scam. Don't use it.
PEOPLE WHIZ IS A SCAM TAKE 30 MINUTES TO SIGN UP THE VERY LAST DOCUMENT IS YOUR PERSONAL CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. NO MENTION OF PAYMENT UNTIL THEY BAIT YOU IN WITH B. S. RECORDS BEWARE PEOPLE WHIS IS A SCAM WEBSITE BEWARE STAY AWAY ONLY REASON FOR THE STAR IS ITS MANDATORY
I was searching myself and the website shows a red box stating there is a criminal record for me, i know this is not true, so immediately i order the report which it shows absolutely nothing and now wants me to pay extra to get more information. $14.99 its what i had paid, I will be reporting this to the BBB.
I was checking the background of someone who i suspected was shady and i put name in and this site is horrible. It prompted me with suggrestions that this person had a ciminal record had social media and all i got were names and addresses. I knew that stuff already. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! IM CALLING THE BBB
Paid for just one month. It told me and my husband that we had no social media, criminal history. Nothing. The only thing it had was our address. But it offer you another premium package for an extra 20 bucks. I wouldn't even give it one star.
The first month worth of research using PeopleWhiz went ok, lots of useless or incorrect information but I really only needed some of the data provided, still wasted time sorting through the incorrect info... second month did not go as well, I really only got 4 out of 6 requests that were useful. The third month is when I couldn't get a completed report without a request to subscribe again. After several messages/phone calls, they refunded the months subscription and I had to re-subscribe to continue with my project. I completed one search before the subscription request started again. I cancelled my subscription. Wasted lots of time for minimal results.
Not as advertised. Peoplewhiz did not have marriage or divorce records which I easily found on County website. Did not list known Facebook account which should have been easy along with Snapchat and Tinder. After paying $28 for one month you have to pay more to upgrade to a premium account. I called customer service and told them that they missed obvious information and asked for a refund or an upgrade and got no compensation in any way. Total waste of money
No crim recs that I knew 2had. I found FB just by searching name, not on report. Premium no new info
The first person I searched was myself and there were several names listed as relatives that I didn't know and a person who had stole my identity and stalked me, listed as a relative. I only tried the 5 day trial and they still charged my bank account $29.95 and now waiting for a refund. The only positive was being able to opt out fairly easy, but they want a copy of your driver's license to confirm and to me that's invasion of privacy. They say it's to be sure you are the person wanting to opt out yourself, but who would need to opt out anyone else!
Save your money. I paid to run a check on me and learned I had marrried a woman I've never heard of.
All the other info is available for free on the net.
I paid 24.95 for a joke. Save your money.
I used PeopleWhiz to look up my long-lost brother. The site found my brother and said my brother had a criminal record. After I paid $27.99 for a one-month subscription for a report, the report contained only an outdated address that was at least 25 years old, nothing else. If I wanted more information, I would have to pay more money. This is a sleazy way to do business. Less that 24 hours later, I telephoned PeopleWhiz and cancelled my subscription. I was told that my $27.99 would be refunded. I will notify my credit card company. Leo N.
How do I remove this annoying software from my computer? I've gone to their website to no avail. I just want to stop it from popping up everying half hour.

Answer: Searching took a very long time, and information provided was incomplete. I know that the person I was searching has been arrested for prostitutuion numerous times, yet those did not show on the arrest record. Most arrest records gave no reason for the arrest and no date of arrest. I cancelled membership immediately and have requested a refund, but doubt I will receive one. DON'T USE
Answer: Hi there. Our customer service number is 833-276-9449. We have reps available 24/7 to serve you.
Answer: I had the same issue today. Customer service said the only way I could access the details of my 'multiple criminal charges' was if I paid a subscription fee. Hmmm, who 'd the real criminal here? For the record, I've never been arrested. Like, ever.
