Recently ordered a cat scratching post. Payment was taken the next day but a week later I received an email saying the item was no longer in stock and asking if I wanted a replacement item or a refund. I requested a cheaper replacement and refund but have heard nothing and they are not replying to emails. The phone is never answered and I am concerned when I read about duplicate payments being taken from bank cards. There is no delivery information on the webpage and no details or address for the business. I can't believe I didn't spot this in the first place - I am usually very cautious, but their website looks professional and I think I'm now another one of the long list of people who have been scammed by pawspetsupermarket.

Do not use this site they take the payment each month until you notice and then do not come up with the refund.

I stupidly did not realise the facility for reveiwing websites was available in April. I made a purchase from Pawspet on April 18th and it was delivered promptly and yes at the time I did think postage charges were excessive but had no other gripes. Until May when they took another deduction from my acount. This was promptly reversed by my very very helpful bank, NatWest. Thinking that was setteld I was amazed to see that yet again the deduction was made in June. Once again Nat West refunded the amount but this time Pawspet have used another approach and seemingly made it appear that I myself made a legitimate bank transfer, within 24hours of the bank refunding my hard earned money Pawspet dragged it back again.
Having the same experience as most others I found that their call centre numbers for Sales, customer services and accounts are never abvailable so I emailed. The first reply [from Maxine] admitted their error and promised repayment within 5 working days, this 'repayment' has taken the form of another deduction!
So I emailed again claiming compensation and if this was not corrected I would use every means at my disposal to bring them to brook.
Maxine's reply is very interesting, Pawspet have reported the matter to 'the police' claiming that I have attempted to blackmail them. My reply was to request the crime number issued and the address of the police station to which Maxine advises me they have been themselves advised by the police not to correspond with me while the issue is being investigated...

I will never purchase another item from these people again!

In December 2010 I purchased a dog lead, collar and harness on my credit card in the sum of £17.25.
In January 2011 and again in February 2011 the same amount of £17.25 was credited to my credit card. So by the time of my March 2011statement I had been debited £51.75 for items costing just £17.25. It is easy to put this down to a "genuine" mistake until you read the reviews on this site and others.

After reading the reviews and understanding the difficulty and frustration of others who seemingly had been completely frustrated in their efforts to obtain a refund from this firm I decided to both report their conduct to the Trading Standards office and the police. I then sent a very strong letter to the firm by e-mail to this firm and they replied they next day promising to refund my credit card within five days.

This was their reply to me.

"It deeply saddens me that instead of waiting for a response from us and then forming your own opinion, you decided to go on the opinion of other and read mostly libellous insinuations on the internet, these are often false reports by angry customers who do not bother to actually find out the truth before they rant on.

Yes, we have had an issue with some payments and a system failure, however we do have over 40,000 customers and only a handful of customer affected, bearing in mind the ones who have written reviews are writing multiple reviews.

We do appreciate this is not a great situation for a company to be in. However to make false accusations in an e-mail or otherwise is also against the law, especially when you base your facts on gossip from people, on the internet, you do not even know.

I am sorry your order has been incorrectly charged, I have had this payment refunded for you I would also like to offer you, a £5 shopping voucher off your next order to use this please enter paws101 into the box for discount code at the checkout I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Please note: your refund can take up to 5 working days to show in your account depending on which bank you use."

Whatever the reason that they took my original payment several times over and seemingly did the same to others I will never use them again. Its just too much hassle and worry. The only way I could stop them taking further payments from me was to stop my credit card and have it reissued with another account number which was highly inconvenient and unwelcome.

After ordering my product off of this website I then went on to read the reviews and I started to get worried as everyone was bad, I ordered my item on the 5th and have got it taking only 3 working days I was pleased with this as I thought it was never going to turn up. Overall I think that this website is great to use. :)

Bought a guinea pig cage beginning of feb item came on time and was in good order. Noticed at beginning of march payment had been taken out again. Tried to phone them a few times got automated service then got cut off (couldn't leave message) got in touch with my bank cancelled my card and bank refunded me on chargeback. Will never use this site again. Will always check reviews first. Be warned!

Absolutely appalled by the treatment from this website.
Purchased a dog basket for £19.99 in October last year 2010... yes it arrived but the Company deducted further payments. All in all I have been charged three times for one product.

I emailed the Company about their 'mistake' and received a reply with an apology and a promise of a refund.

No refund has yet been received... fast forward to 2011 and I noticed today on my bank statement this Company has again charged me. This has cost me not just financially but also wasted hours on the phone having to cancel my visa card and speaking to various departments personnel within my bank regarding this Company's er 'mistake'. I hope they get investigated and soon.

I shall certainly never be going back to this website/Company.

I purchased 1 item from this company 3 months ago and since this time they have debited my credicard a further 3 times... they have commited credicard fraud but when informed of this and aksed to delete my credicard details all communication stopped.

NEVER USE this website they are conmen... Now I have to go through the long process of retrieving my money through my creditcard insurance.

I bought a coat for a puppy in November and since then they have taken 3 more payments unauthorised from my account, i have spent today trying to sort it and speak to them but to no avail. 3 emails and constant attempts to phone them but since googling them I see loads of people have had the same problem. Its robbery!
I'm thinking solicitor and Watchdog, if they just answered their phone the cowards, it would help.

Wish I had checked these reviews before purchasing from Paws Pet Supermarket. Item received and money taken from credit card only to be taken again one month later. They are impossible to contact via phone and I have emailed. Reading the other reviews, I don't expect to hear from them. Am contacting my credit card company to report them.

After ordering a coat for my dog in November *******, which I had to return, I was charged twice and was then charged again the following month, in total they took £41.97 from my account, I then had the inconvienience of canceling my bank card to stop further payments being taken. After two months of constant emails and unanswered phone calls I did finally get my money refunded. I wish I had read the reviews before hand. So please if your thinking about ordering from this company BEWARE!

I ordered a dog coat on 10th Dec 2010. The money was taken from my account on 14th and the coat arrive on 22nd December. As others have observed there are no details of estimated delivery times. Now for the problem... they have taken a further payment from my account this month and like other customers have reported it is proving impossible to make contact with them. My only option is to cancel my card and report this to the Visa Fraud department at my bank. Has anyone tried reporting them to Trading Standards or perhaps Pay Pal to stop them?

After reading the comments about this website taking unauthorised payments I was alarmed as I had placed an order in October. One item was out of stock but the other did arrive. As the out of stock item was for just £5 I decided, in view of the comments not to draw attention to myself by requesting a refund! My ploy did work however as my credit card statement this month shows yet another charge - just like so many others.

Whichever bank is operating Paw's credit/debit card facilities needs to take responsibility for the misuse - preferably by removing their ability to process payments.

DO NOT order from this site. I ordered a cage for my guinea pig, it took nearly a month to arrive. Their phone number is just an auotomated recording which hangs up at the end of the message.

A month after I paid, they took payment again! And then thought offering me £5 off of my"next" purchase would them was sufficient compensation. You can stick your £5 off, I'll be going to a reputable store in future!

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM PAWSPETSUPERMARKET!
I read a number if reviews complaining about how pawspetsupermarket STEALS your money but i was foolish enough to ignore them and ordered a few items for around 20 Pounds. Money was taken out of my account and then a month later the same amount was taken again-UNAUTHORISED!
Please don't make the same mistake i did... save yourself hassel and money - do not use this site! I am now struggling to try and get a refund and have had to approach my bank to try and stop more money being taken out.
