OurFamilyWizard Reviews Summary

The company faces significant criticism regarding its customer service and the effectiveness of its app. Many users express frustration over ongoing charges for a service they no longer use or were unable to utilize, highlighting a lack of responsiveness from customer support. Additionally, the app is perceived as cumbersome and inadequate for managing high-conflict co-parenting situations, often exacerbating communication issues rather than resolving them. However, some users appreciate the app's organizational features, which help consolidate communication. Overall, the sentiment leans negative, with calls for improved customer care and more user-friendly solutions.

Useless
September 30, 2021

Suffers from outages where sometimes you can't even log in, reporting function is terrible - selecting 'start each message on a new page' doesn't work, ToneMeter is completely useless. So much better off just sticking to email.

Our Family Wizard has horrible reviews for a reason. The app doesn't work on newer model devices. Our Family Wizard corporate deleted my account by accident and it caused me to lose my domestic violence case against my abusive ex.

Going through a divorce and was encouraged to use this tool. Onboarding of the tool was a disaster making my already non-cooperating more uncooperative. By the time I asked for a refund they told me to pound sand. Quality folks. Yes that is sarcasm.

Beware! The information you put on OFW that you don't make private is not confidential! This includes the medical tab where you upload info on your children's medical information. I contacted customer service tonight for a different questions and was told that ANYTHING uploaded that you don't make private, is the same as uploading to Facebook for all your friends to see. Just keep in mind when you're using the site!

This is a fantastic app! For years the mother of my child kept moving between states, residences, changed schools and kept not moving Court Order. I had to fight really hard to see my daughter and fly all over the states to be able to see her. From time to time she would change her email or phone number or didn't respond to me ringing the doorbell and I would have to come back without my daughter.
Since judge ordered family wizard over two years ago, I have regular visitations, the emails are less rude and less confusing, she is held accountable for her actions and she can't delete or respond to different threads or make anything up.
Our Family Wizard has really really saved my life and my relation with my daughter. I also hope that with time my ex will see that this has provided us both with stability and accountability and ensured we talked to each other (at least) in courteous manner. At the end anything that can improve communication, benefits our daughter most.
Thank you for providing a tool where emails cannot be manipulated and changed and that it shows when the messages were viewed.

There must be some quiet reason lawyers and judges are pushing this overpriced worthless app on divorced parents. They clearly have never used it.

Nuisance App
March 5, 2021

Tried this app, was a nuisance. Using texting and email was far easier and could do off my hands free. This app forced me to pull over continually log in, select the messaging program and message. Further the messaging interface is inferior to apple texting or android. You can not take pics out of the app and it is confusing the way the threads are set up.
Big pass unless you want to further complicate your life.

No refund
December 8, 2020

My husband refused to use this app after I made the purchase. As it was past the 30 day money back guarantee period Family Wizard won't give me any money back. As it was a Canadian purchase I am now out $165 CAD. So far the app works just like my ex husband. Full of promises with no follow through and a lot of disappointment. If you're going to sign up for a parenting app - don't use this one and make sure you sign up before your ex spouse does to ensure you actually get your monies worth.

Hi, Darien - Thanks for your comments. Even if your co-parent is not using OFW, your account can be an excellent organizational tool for your co-parenting information. You can use your account to maintain parenting time calendars, document pick-ups/drop-offs with GPS-verified location check-ins, record your co-parenting expenses, organize your children's important data like medical or school information, store files securely, and more. Our team would be happy to walk you through how to use any aspect of your account, so please don't hesitate to reach out for help! They can be reached seven days a week by email at [email protected] or by phone at (866) 755-9991.

Useful App
November 21, 2020

This App is useful for communication with an abusive personality type when you are required by court order to "co-parent" with someone that abuses you and your children. It is especially useful if the other parent uses coercive control, gas-lighting and psychological rather than physical abuse as the primary tools in their abuser tool kit. At first our abuser was really enthusiastic about using this App as he saw it as another platform to manipulate and there is nothing he loves more than to have a new venue in which to abuse. Now that he has come to see that OFW can't be manipulated and everything is recorded he no longer cares for it. He really cut back on the number of abusive, denigrating and accusatory messages that he sends me. The problem of adult survivors and their children being forced to maintain a relationship and communication with their abuser is rooted in a broken Family Court/Uneducated or Corrupt Judges problem. Other reviewers have a valid point that OFW financially benefits from the lucrative, niche divorce industry but it didn't create the industry. Family Court and our government system is the chicken and OFW is the egg. Our abuser now rants to our kids how much he hates OFW, he reads our messages to them out-loud and tells them it's all your Mother's fault for bad communication but he has blamed and denigrated me to the children for anything and everything for going on 2 decades so nothing new there. The judge tells him to stop involving the children but does absolutely nothing about it when he admits what he does, the children tell the judge he involves them and I repeatedly provide proof that he still puts them in the middle. The family court system is broken in California. Survivors should not be forced to communicate with our abuser. We should be allowed to "just leave" as everyone tells us to do and praises us for. No one seems to know about post separation abuse and how abuser's use the family court system to weaponize the children.

Abusers paradise
November 11, 2020

This app due to a court order enforces victims of abusive relationships to have to continue in the abusive relationship. The abuser is allowed to say whatever he wants and the victim has to read it due to a court order. The app does have a "tone" meter which is bars that turn red when the sender writes something mean, but it still allows the message to go thru. In my experience this app is not acceptable for co parenting if the couple was in an abusive relationship to begin with.

Useless Platform
November 5, 2020

This is another way for someone to cash in. Not useful at all. Why does the platform exists if you can track your conversations, money transactions (which there's always a fee for them), among others, with other sources. No one from the courts are monitoring this, and they sell you they will. They don't interfere with anything which was one of the selling points.

Hi, Rafa - Unlike email or other free alternatives, OurFamilyWizard saves your information indefinitely so you don't ever have to worry about losing it if your phone breaks or if your account is dormant. It also goes beyond just offering messaging capabilities to also provide you with shared parenting time calendars, GPS-verified check-ins, secure file sharing, and much more. Also, you can always grant your family law or mental health professionals access to oversee your account and work with you directly via our platform. You can grant access to any professionals you work with from within your account in the My Account section, under User Management. If you would like assistance granting access to your professionals or have any other questions about OurFamilyWizard, please reach out to our dedicated support team. They can be reached seven days a week by email at [email protected] or by phone at (866) 755-9991.

This app shouldn't exist. No one from the courts is "monitoring" this. It's a money scam! THIS APP ONLY CREATED ANOTHER PLATFORM FOR MY EX HUSBAND TO HARASS ME, just more "officially" because it's a $100 app instead of a text or email. It's ridiculous. He messages me and then creates a journal entry and then uploads the screenshots to the "info bank" (For safe measure) STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP! STAY AWAY. There is no support, no way to stop any of it. Just a waste od money! Unless that is, you are abusing it. Then it's perfect for you.
