I placed a credit card order for a flashlight, a rechargeable usb strong headlamp, and two weaker rechargeable headlamps with longer battery life for hiking. When I checked my order for shipping I had an email trying to do deposit verifications, or switch to paypal. I cancelled and ordered from a competitor, do not waste your time. Discovered they have terrible reviews in the process.
Placed an order with Optics Planet. It shipped via DHL two days later. Today has been 14 days and I still haven't received my item. Tracking indicates that the package made it to Atlanta (two hours from my house) but it hasn't moved in 10 days. I've called them 3 times (customer service number) but was told today that they don't consider the package lost until 21 (business) days. I'm sorry but delivery time of a month for an in stock item is unacceptable. Looks like I have made my last purchase for Optics Planet.
They use DHL as a delivery service which has the worst ratings out there and when something goes missing you have to wait 15 days before you can start the claim process. 15 Days and you have to start the process.
I'm not sure what everyone else's issue was but I've had no issues whatsoever with optics planet, I've bought all my accessories and things from them for years now and just realized they have this horrible review. Okay, somethings backordered and you don't want to wait? Cancel it, I just did that the other day. People are so whiny these days. This entire rifle is built from optics planet other than the bipod. All quick responsive and fast shipping.
I should of known better. Optics Planet is the worst at shipping out orders. Never again will I order from them. I might get a tattoo to remind me. For reference, I ordered a part from Australia the same day as a part from OP. I got the International package today and the one from Optics Planet hasn't even left Illinois yet! OP you suck!
I placed two orders with optics planet. The first one was for a complete Aero upper. It took them a week to ship it out. Week later, 2 weeks after ordering I received it and it was a blemish model they didn't claim it was. I counted no less than a dozen blatant blemishes on it, from gouges to missing lettering to scrapes and finally, the dust cover was frozen jammed solid. It could not be moved. So I processed a return. Another week In transit, so we're at three weeks into this debacle. They received the package back THIRTEEN days ago, and STILL haven't issued my refund. I got a reply, FINally, to my emails, to update me that they'll probably oroces my refund in a few days. This company is COMPLETE GARBAGE.
MY 2nd order was for a grip+ buttstock. Instead of OD Green like I ordered. They sent me TEAL. SO here we go agai for another month long return process due to their complete incompetence.
Do yourself a favor and NEVER order anything from this trash company.
Early this morning I ordered a set of Talley scope rings. Upon confirming my order, I immediately realized that the part number did not match the product description. I attempted to cancel the order but the cancellation button vanished. I tried several times to cancel or change my order on the website unsuccessfully. I called customer service at exactly 9:00 central time and was told that it was too late because it had already shipped. I had tracked the package and it was still at the facility. A label was created, nothing more. If I made a mistake that's one thing, but the issue is 100% on Optics Planet. They had a golden opportunity to provide excellent service and did nothing.
I ordered some rifle attachment it took forever to get to me, and when i finally got them it didnt fit correctly on my rifle. I decided to return the items and i choose a store credit for a free return. This is the 5th week after they received my return and they still haven't processed my return
I live in Tennessee they shipped my package to a suburb of Atlanta and now they're telling me I've got to wait another 27 days before they'll do anything use credit cards only because you can dispute it and your credit card company will protect you do not use any other form of payment with this company credit cards only
Ordered my items on 19 December, with an agent on the phone, he told me all but two items were in stock but everything would ship immediately and the back ordered items will come in January when they came in. I was ok with that. Next day one of the backordered items was cancelled. Their on-line tool to provide status is worthless. They were closed during the Christmas to New Year holiday and couldn't get an agent to provide an update. I called on 3 January, the agent couldn't explain why the order hadn't shipped but would get the items shipping with expedited shipping and should arrive by 6 January. Nothing arrived, so called on 7 January, phone status said the order was processing, same as on-line system, so held to speak to an agent, he claimed his system crashed and asked I call and speak to another agent. Called back and it routed to him and he hung up on me. Called again and got another agent, she couldn't explain why the order had not shipped but should arrive Monday or Tuesday. I hope it arrives Monday or Tuesday but probably will be disappointed again. I would recommend for you to never order from this worthless outfit.
I am writing this review, because the poor customer service and product description. I purchased a recoil spring kit for a Glock 19 thought I was getting new packaging and a new spring kit, beware of product description as they hide behind, it came in with some substance looks like someone sneezed on it and had Covid or something I could not identify what it was nasty. Terrible customer service was no help. I contacted customer service twice before writing this review buyer beware they at least could have cleaned up the product and the packaging before they sent it. As I could tell, there was no concern about the products they ship out and no quality control. I gave them a chance to make it right.

DONT ORDER FOM THESE THIEVES! Long story short...ordered some accessories for a pistol, they claimed that my card could not be verified, when I cancelled my order, all of a sudden they were able to verify enough to steal $235dollars!...I got no items and no money back!
Bought telescope and one of parts (Laser Pointer) was broken when I received the product. Notified company via email support. Was told to do an RMA. I asked if they wanted the whole package back or just the broken part to replace. Response I received stated... "Thank you for contacting us about your order! Yes sir, you can, since it respect the delay of return." which makes no sense. I packed up everything and the RMA required me to pay for return shipping. I sent a note to their support stating since the product arrived broken I was not paying for the shipping to return it. The response I got was "Okay. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us again." By no way was this response correcting my issue with having to pay for shipping. I then reached out to my credit card company to dispute this charge as the company was not making this process simple. Now OpticsPlanet says they will not send a pre-paid return shipping label until I remove the chargeback/dispute from my credit card company. I will not be held hostage by a business that operates in this manner.
Ordered ammunition from the company 2 years ago, which I understand there were ammo shortages, but when I ordered it it was in supply. I never received the ammo and the estimated ship date kept getting pushed back. Then 2 years later I get an email saying they no longer can get me the ammo and the best they can do is 9% discount for my inconvenience. Needless to say I have been buying ammo from another company and have had no issues and it's much cheaper with free shipping most of the time.
Optics planet does sometimes have some decent prices but that comes with a big caveat. I have yet been able to order anything that shows in stock on their website without getting a notification that the item is out of stock afterwards and will be delivered as soon as possible. This is usually followed by an apology and some timeframe. 1 week, 2 weeks, 18 days, and who really knows. They will eventually send you the item, but their inventory system has to be a total wreck. Most online retailers have had accurate inventory systems for the better part of a decade now. There is no reason to consistently sell items on your site that you knowingly (or should know) is not available to be shipped at the time of purchase. This borders on the line of being fraudulent. I know they apologize and say they will not charge until the item is shipped, but so far, every item I have purchased shows on my credit card statement as paid from the day I ordered it, which puts me just having to wait for the items. I think I would rather at this point spend 15 dollars more somewhere else and get my items shipped within 1-3 business days. Not a good way to do business.
My order was shipped on the 4th and will arrive the 9th. The 4th was a Friday. In the chat they told me that it was do to warehouse processing time which still does not make sense. If it was shipped their warehouse has nothing to do with it. 9 days for shipping yet still charged over 40 dollars for 2 day shipping
Delivery is painfully slow. Great selection and decent sale prices, but don't count on advertised Delivery times. A recent purchase stated 2 day delivery (stated value $47), you would think at that delivery charge the item would ship via air but after tracking confirms UPS ground and a 6 day projected delivery. I could of bought the same thing elsewhere for less $$$ but was sucked in with 2 day shipping. I have experienced several longer shipping delays after paying for expedited shipping when free shipping was available.
Just select free shipping and wait, and wait, and wait.
I'm still waiting on an order from two years ago and when I tried to write a review on the product website stating that, Opticsplanet "denied" my review because it "wasn't about the product". That's insane. Horrible business.
75 Days have passed since placing my order. 1 item is in stock, but the other is still backordered, so the entire order is "pending." If you're willing to wait 3 months+ for your order, then OpticsPlanet.com may work for you, but for everyone else, just avoid the frustration.
Answer: They ripped us off too. I'm going to file a BBB complaint and will mention I'm not the only one the took $$ from and never delivered my order and accused us of lying about it.
