Reservation was confirmed for the 13th which was booked and confirmed on the 2nd then on the 8th OpenTable changes the reservation to the 15th. If we wanted a table on the 15th we would have booked the 15th. OpenTable has no right to change our reservation for a very special occasion. I will NEVER use OpenTable again.
This software is absolute garbage. There's nothing good about it and it's ruining the restaurant I love.
Due to COVID we haven't gone out to eat. We finally decided to have lunch and use our points. To our dismay, we lost 12,500 points. After we contacted Open Table, they gave us all of our points back. What a great gesture and company.
As a Disabled Vietnam Combat Veteran, I made a reservation at Michel's for my wife's birthday. As late 70's seniors, we were looking forward to a nice romantic dinner. I made the reservation via Open Table but also called the restaurant to ensure that we had a open window table for fear of COVID. We arrived 15 minutes late due to our car alarm malfunctioning. I did call the restaurant and informed them about being a few minutes late. The gentleman who answered stated that our table requested was waiting for our arrival. Upon arrival, another couple was in front of us who seemed very friendly with the hostess, almost too much so. She led them to a window table and talked with them for about five minutes. She returned back to her station and stated that we had to wait a little for our table. We were escorted to a terrible table with a concrete wall backing. It was obvious that she gave our table to her friends. When we asked her why we didn't get our requested table, she got very defensive and downright nasty. We stated that we were promised a window table because of our age and Covid concerns. She then said, "We don't promise anything to our customers", unquote.
With that type of poor customer service, we got up from our table and headed for the front door. The manager then interceded to attempt to find us a nice window table, but it looked like Miss Personality had all the bases covered for her favorite customers.
I will never return to this restaurant and I urge all Veterans not to frequent this restaurant. Also, I understand that it is Japanese owned. After spending 30 years working in Japan, the Japanese would never treat customers like this. So, if you're a Japanese tourist, don't eat at this restaurant. You will be disappointed in the customer service. It's truly embarrassing.
To start, management needs to fire this hostess because she's the first person that customers encounter upon arrival. What a way to start a terrible evening with her. She is beyond trainable.
I have tried to book through opentable not once but thrice and it just does not accept any card of mine. I then requested help and I get a rather flaky email about how the "weather is in the U. S vs Ireland" instead of actually addressing the frustration. Further to which after a week of not actually answering my question, they ask me if they should close the ticket and when I say I am still unable to book a table on their site, only to be ghosted again.
Utterly ridiculous and such a painful frustrating platform! Especially given the times we are in.
Certainly hope there are far better online platforms there for ppl to book and actually earn reward points.
Made a reservation for Macy's Walnut Room. Tried to cancel and their website would not let me cancel. No phone number or customer service email available, had to dispute charge on my credit card. Open Table must not understand what is going on in the world as it relates to Covid.
For the third time, I have cancelled a reservation I made through open table online. I have the cancellation in my email. They sent me a nasty gram this morning that I did a no show, and unfortunately, there is nowhere to respond to them. Impossible to send them an email with proof, and of course, no human is around to take your call. I'm waiting for another app to appear and run them out of biz.
I have been using Open Table (OT) since they began and have written many restaurant reviews, mostly all highly positive. This is my first review of open table, and it is negative. Recently, OT has made it harder to get your reservation reward points. You have to check a box requesting the 100 points for the typical reservation. It should be the other way around... the 100 points should be automatic, and if you don't want them for some reason, you can check a box saying you don't want them. So as a result of this little greedy change to the site that was certainly not obvious sand not announced, i missed out on 300 points. I sent several messages requesting that the points get restored, and never received a single reply. No apology, no explanation, no attempt to appease a long term customer. I have started using other services and believe that OT's disregard for customer satisfaction is the beginning of their demise. Maybe the leadership needs to be replaced.
I will never do business with a racist company, just received my spam email from them, disgusting, shame on you.
Points expire without any notification. I had 4700, then I had none. Disgusted that I was not given a heads up that they were about to expire!
You cant even log in. Dont ever use this stupid website. Everyone who worked on it should be embarrassed
It was a very beautiful night and the staff and the ambiance was exceptional even with the new protocols for restaurants. Our waiter Rafy was fantastic; We have been in many Fogo the Chao around the world but Rafy service was beyond expectation we can certainly affirm BEST SERVICE EVER. Also thanks to Faviola and Agustina they did a great job as well. We were very impressed with the social distancing, and adaptation to meet current breeds. For sure we can't wait to come back. Once again Thanks for made our anniversary special.
After 7 password resets I still cannot get into my account cant open it with gmail, cant open it with facebook, waited 4 hours to receive the first passord reset, still awaiting the other 6 resets, cannot make a reservation with creating a new account. This is the worst website I have used in years. Used another phone to try and make a reservation it says my account already exists and to enter the password, once there is a problem it tells me to reset my password... still waiting for the other 6 resets to arrive in my inbox. Please get rid of this site it is useless!
This Open table company has no respect for anything.
It is quite appalling at those difficult times to receive an invoice for £14.40 to be charged £54.30 in-charges for late payment when all the hospitality business had to close down.
They are a disgrace as a business and happily I want to terminate my contract with this awful company.
We have children to fed, we have families as well, employee to support and rents and other urgent bills. You don't have the right to charge this enormous fees on top on this difficult situation.
Please don't use this company.
My small family business is far better than than this fancy company, for humanity and this planet they are a disgrace.
We had nothing but troubles as well with their app and office hours, your office hours and our busy restaurant times don't match.
They are taking advantages of those difficult times with sneaky charges. We had to close down before Mother's Day, when we were already struggling with quiet restaurant because of coronavirus outbreak, and to cancel all the direct debits. Despite I paid the invoice of £14.40 they still sending the in charge of £54.30.
Disgraceful company!
I got a nasty email from open table saying I didn't keep my reservation. This was about an hour after I left the restaurant. Since the employee didn't click something or acknowledge something, OpenTable cake at me with attitude. Will not use again. I will just call the restaurant directly than be harrassed by a company like OpenTable
I received an email from OpenTable this afternoon informing me that the restaurant I was going to in two hours had cancelled my reservation. I was unable to reach them and assumed the restaurant must have been experiencing some sort of emergency. After dinner at another restaurant, we drove by our original restaurant and discovered that they were open and we're surprised we had cancelled. Something seriously went wrong with their software. I will never use it again and will revert to making person to person phone calls for reservations.
What's the point of booking through opentable when they don't give you any points? The whole reason is to build up points and thus rewards. But I've made two bookings through this site and neither time have I received any points. So why not just book direct and save the hassle of booking through a third party site that does absolutely nothing
BTW, I messaged them and didn't even get an automated reply let alone an actual one.
So my advice is - don't bother with opentable
Made a reservation for Christmas dinner. Received confirmation. On December 24 modified reservation to add additional guests. Received confirmation. Went to the restaurant and the kitchen was closed. They told us they had contacted Open Table twice. We ended up at a bar eating bar snacks. In response they gave me 1000 points. NOT acceptible. I asked them to make a reservation for us on New Year's eve and they refused
I lost my handbag in this restaurant 2 weeks ago.
When I went back on the following days, they barely listened to me and when I asked for a responsible they kept saying there was none.
I was sitting in a corner and later that night someone tried to make payments with my credit card so I suspect someone from the stuff... especially with the way the acted when I went their on the following days
Very disapointing...
When my husband was diagnosed with cancer, we chose the holistic protocol and nutritious food was a requirement. So glad for True Foods. It's absolutely ideal. And tonight as we celebrated our 42nd. Our server Laura Burger was absolutely awesome. She was friendly, accommodating and represented the menu well. Thank you True Foods... we can enjoy food and not compromise our health!
