The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

The service charge is obscene and levied for every ticket not order. I will never buy here again if I can avoid it. Highway robbery.
When the fees cost almost 40% of the ticket price that's a problem. If this wasn't for someone birthday I would have cancelled the order. Then there is a download fee on top of the service fee. Give me a break.
You should be ashamed of yourself for charging a service charge and an online charge! This is completely immoral!
C'est un bon site merci de continuer votre travail comme cela. Je conseillerais à mes amis. Je suis content de votre service
I had to pay an extra 30$ each to have my tickets emailed to me? I will not purchase through this site again. Charge way to much. It is impossible to pay face value for a concert ticket these days.
Id feel less taken advantage of if I were just told that the ticket costs more than being given a drop down menu with only the one option. Its misleading and an obsurd upcharge.
In my review to Online City Tickets I noted incomplete information provided as a reason for dissatisfaction with the process. Additional fees were not provided until after placing order; the actual location of the seats was not provided in relation to the row (BB) in the Orchestra 4 section; and I did not learn the seat numbers until after receiving the e-tickets, which was too late to cancel the order. I ordered two tickets expecting the seats to be together. Instead I received one seat (118) and the other (120). These seats are not together. Considering the cost, this arrangement is extremely undesirable.
I thought I was buying a ticket for Hamilton from the Kennedy Center Box Office. When the final payment was revealed I had paid over $100 to obtain ticket and have sent to me UPS. I think I was mislead and paid way more than I intended to pay for this ticket. But what good will my review do since it is going to the people who flimflammed me and not the Kennedy Center.
From what was originally priced at $56 for 2 tickets rose to $80 with fees. Nearly $30 for sending me an email with my tickets. Won't be using this website again.
My tickets did not arrive so I had to contact the company directly to have them forward them on to me. Now that I have the e-tickets they don't load onto my phone. It is a bit annoying for sure.
I was frantic as I realized, having driven 1+ hours to the concert venue, to not be able to find the email w/our tickets for a concert last night. Desperate, I called Online City Tickets "contact us" number and explained our problem. The CSR was amazing! To be honest, I was also SHOCKED at by how quickly he was able to find my ticket records. He also to not only re-sent them, but he located the closest place for us to print them! He was also extremely kind and understanding, recognizing that finding an email sent 6 months ago would be hard to find, especially on a phone!
Frankly, I rarely do reviews and don't think I've ever given a full 100% rating, but the customer service was SO above my expectations, that you all will definitely be my go-to source for tickets from now on!
An excellent buying experience from a professional website. I would buy from OnlineCityTickets again.
I purchased 2 tickets because ingot an offer for $20 off. But I missed the fine print that said "for orders over $200." This is the problem when discounts are automatically applied vs using a discount code... it is not clear. When you will. See it applied. I would not. Have purchased. And I will be wary of any business I do with this service in the future.
I wanted premium tickets however I was told they were not offered at this event I thought I was getting a good deal until I found out that premium tickets werent available for this concert so Im very disappointed the gentleman who helped me was sooo nice and courteous that is one plus for this site
Easy to purchase. E-mails were a little confusing, because I didn't quite understand how it worked, but customer service was very helpful. Regular E-mail updates about shipping and delivery were comforting. Tickets arrived safe and sound, and fairly quickly. Overall, smooth, hassle free process.
Everything was quick and easy! Would purchase through this site again in the future. I also dont have anything else to say, 100 characters isnt necessary
I purchases tickets for a certain amount and when I got the tickets they were a much lower amount. So it I pay to much throught OnlineCity Tickets?
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
