Do not order from these crooks. They bill your credit card, when order is placed, when you are not expecting to see it for 3 months. By the time you realize they aren't going to ship you anything, your credit card co. Has already paid them and cannot reverse the charge. They will lie to you with absolutely no conscious. My next step is to travel to Orange County. California, and file a small claims suit.
Do not order anything from this crooked as hell family!

Ordered gun belt -holsters in oct 2023 358.00 dollars and received nothing e mails not answered nothing but a scam outfit.

Order was placed 24 Dec 2023. Still waiting for him to ship. Placed another order Feb 2024. Got one item and it looks worse than the toy holsters I had as a kid. Note these are Made in South Africa. Also not real leather. Stay away from this store.

My credit card was charged $840.92 in September of 2022 for a rifle scabbard and a shotgun scabbard. Emails and calls aren't returned and I still don't have my products. Mike told me in 2023 that my order should have shipped and that he would look into it. Months later and no response from Mike or OTP. At this point I can only assume this is a scam.

Ordered a hand made holster 3/18/23.16 weeks delivery. No holster. Sent email, Mike responded, "slow due to co-vid and no help. Couple of months later another email sent, same response. Couple of months later I called, Mike did return my call but said he'd have to check with his guy on the status. Never returned and answer. Actually talked to Mike on Dec 27th said they were having a meeting and would check on my holster and would call me no later than Friday the 30th. No call yet. So as of today in 11 days it will have been 10 mths since ordering. I know $137 doesn't sound like much but if I'd have ordered from a reputable company and honest people I would be using a holster I've needed. I've been patient and courteous over the phone but to no avail. PS- I have to say Mike returned my emails and phone calls until now but I feel I've been given the runaround as I see many people have also lost hard earned money. All I know is there is coming a day when Mike and whoever else is involved with this will give an answer and I truly feel for them. If you read this Mike I only hope if this is a scam you at some point can feel sorry for stealing the trust people put in you and your so called company.

I placed three separate orders in November 2022, for three different custom holsters. The owner, Mike, told me it will take eight to ten weeks to make them. I was fine with that as they were custom orders. Ten weeks later no word from Mike or Old Trading Post. So I message him. He replies they are in the process of making them and will take a bit longer. Four months later, no word. I call the business. I leave messages numerous times by phone and email. Nothing form Old Trading Post, or Mike. More calls more messages. Nothing. Eleven months later, I finally get a reply from Mike. He says to me it takes this long to make them and he will get them done or refund me. Now it's over a year, and still more calls and messages demanding refund or products I ordered. Crickets from him. It appears they are nothing more than a scam business and I warn you not to buy from them. I have attached email receipts of two of three orders I placed,I removed my personal information.

I ordered an item 7 months ago and have left phone messages and text messages in my account
I have never received a response
I item had an advertised shipment of two to three months
This has been a disgusting experience
Don't if I can get my money back or ever receive my item

I've bought a lot of western gear and props for different films and this website is horrible.

They don't actually have any of the products they sell.
Prepare to wait 6-8 weeks for shipping, but they usually can't get the product anyway, so it's just a waste of time.

The funny thing is, if they can't find the products they sold you, they just remain silent, keep your money and your order will be on hold forever.

I've order from this company several times. It's been a nightmare every single time.

I ordered November 13. Was originally told holster would be finished mid January. Called 1st week of February, was told mid March. Now end of March, nothing! Tried calling no answer. Sent email. I would show pictures. But none.

Ordered a holster September 1,2022. My credit card was charged. Checked with OTP late December and was told my order would ship "by the end of the month." January 30,2023 and nothing. Phone calls go to a non-answering answering machine.

I ordered a holster in May and have not received it as of January. Talked to the guy once on the phone and got the run around. No other communication! They charged my credit card immediately and nearly eight months later have delivered nothing. Don"t throw your money away. Avoid this company.

I ordered on line a holster back in Feb. 2022, it is now Nov. 2022 and have never received my purchase. I have emailed and called "Mike" many many times but to no avail. I simply want my money back, but of course no response.

They sent me two gun belts, for two different pistols. Neither one of the belts fit me and they were two different lengths, and neither one of the holsters fit my guns. They are complaining because they say I ordered it wrong when he called me on the phone and had me order it based on everything he said. I get them they're wrong he says send them back and if it's something I did then I will have to cover shipping. But I shipped them back to him and paid for shipping and now he's acting like I was the criminal.

On 2/3/22 I ordered a scabbard for a stagecoach shotgun. After multiple calls and bing told (we're behind) it's now 9/14/22 Mike will not answer the phone, voicemail is full and no reply on email. From now on I'm searching reviews before I make a purchase. I'm not sure why this website is so prominent on Google! If you like loosing your hard earned money make a purchase at OldTradingPost!

I placed an order for a 2 1/4" plain brown belt and a plain leather 30.06 cartridge slide on November 29,2021. The total order was $138.38 plus $10.39 shipping. I never received the order. At first I would call and Mike did call back. I think the last time he called, it was late winter or early spring. I know that custom leather work does take time so I thought I would be patient. End of May, there was nothing. End of June, there was nothing. End of July there is still nothing and now it is August. I emailed Old Trading Post on their web page and called about once a month and received no response. I called and emailed them today and will see if they respond. Expectations are low. I should have checked the reviews before now because they confirm that I may be out my $148.77. Evidently, this is how Old Trading Post operates and I am far from the first person to get taken by them. If I could give them negative stars, I would.

I will have to check into legal actions that are available. Since I live in Montana, I will check with the FBI and my credit card company. I'm not sure if they are full fraud or just incompetant. It looks like fraud though because they charge your credit card at the time of the order. Most of the places if not all that I have delt with charge your card when the item is shipped. Like I said, I should have looked into this sooner.

I ordered a custom holster from OTP back in February. At the time of my order, I was informed the process takes a while. With a solid understanding of what the word "custom" means, I expected this. Still, I cant help but check the account, even just to see the "processing" status still there. I have received multiple calls from Mike about the order and time changes. I greatly appreciate the customer consideration he has to pick up the phone and update me.

You can have Quality, Inexpensive, or Fast... pick two. Considering the detail and work that goes in to custom leather works, I chose inexpensive and quality. If you want fast, go to Amazon. Quality and detail take time, accept it. You'll be happy you did!

Thank you Mike for keeping me in the loop with the process and I look forward to receiving my holster when it is finished. I will be reaching out again, when the time arises for another custom job.

Approximately 35 seconds passed after I posted my intentions of contacting the local authorities in California to notify them of the Old Trading Post business practices, before infamous "Mike" finally left me a voicemail message advising me of all the hooplas and yoyos he was going through to get my order ready. Naturally, knowing his credibility was that of a fruitfly, I completely ignored his rant. Instead, I went ahead and contacted the FBI and submitted a report online directly through their Cybercrime Website, where I also learned that I was going to have to wait at least 30 days for the results to get any kind of resolution on the case. It was going to be one or the other. And I also would like to add that I respect the hard work I do a lot and for that reason, I could not let this go just so damn easy. Besides, I promised the Old Trading Post mongers that I was not going to let go under any circumstances until I received what I was looking for.

After that, only a few days went by before I received a FedEx tracking number from OTP advising me that the item had been shipped. I did not believe it for a second and decided to ignore it. The next day the shipment was cancelled by the sender, according to the FedEx website. On the third day, I received yet another tracking notification. This time I waited to see if in fact was going to go through. It did and three days later, I finally received my purchase. No paperwork and the packaging was really poor. I was not impressed with the product as I was not either with anything from OTP. I just thought it was better than losing my money all together.

I will give OTP a 1/2 star on business management and will call their Customer Service level the lousiest of all. Their communication skills and business orientation are reciprocal to BigFoot's language. Does not exist. It was almost like a Celestial Intervention had taken place before I finally received my purchase. It had to be.

In the end, I don't know if it was my bank, which is also currently investigating, or if it was the Federal Bureau of Investigations who prompted OTP to expedite the delivery of my purchase. Who knows if in fact was just God's Hands grabbing infamous Mike's balls and squeezing them to make him send my purchase asap. Remember, the business is located in California where anything is possible with these Fruitcakes.

So, all I have left is:
1. Call my bank right away to notify them about the shipment.
2. Find a way to notify the Federal Bureau of Investigations too about my account. (It will be their decision to keep investigating other cases in the guts of OTP).
3. And last but not least, put a call to heaven and thank God for the resolution involving this crappy $#*! business called: Old Trading Post.

I would NOT even buy gold at the price of skinny chicken in that place again. And frankly, with that level of trust they are so vehemently building up, they better fold their teepee and try selling used cars where they will find an infinite amount of suckers that don't give a damn when they are screwed.

To those who have read negative reviews, let me start by saying that I read them too... after placing my order on December 6. My order status did say "pending" for a couple of weeks and due to the reviews I did get nervous. Mike always answered my calls or called me right back if I left a message. My order shipped before Christmas and due to no fault of Mike's, it was delayed by the postal service. Today, January 3, my items showed up and my boyfriend and I could not be more pleased with the two gun cases that I purchased. Many of us are used to automatic shipping from big corporate entities, but beautiful custom work takes time. I don't feel that a 2 and a half week time frame on shipping a beautiful, custom made product is excessive. I love these cases and will definitely order from Old Trading Post again. Thanks, Mike... you rock!
