I have been waiting 5 WEEKS for a small package from Germany. I have called and been in to the Anglesea Street office and I swear they are just deliberately unhelpful. They can't tell you ANYTHING, the answer to any question is I don't know, they pretend that because there is no tracking number they can't possibly look it up in their system using, oh idk, name and address? They won't even admit that at this point they've probably lost it/delivered it to the wrong place and tell me to just 'be patient'. Are you KIDDING ME? It's been 5 WEEKS! How much more patient do you expect me to be? Then to top it off they send self serving 'tracked letters' to supposedly track their performance which is a JOKE because OF COURSE the useless $#*!s do it right when they know they're being assessed on that 1 clearly marked item! And then they use the results of that to claim great speed etc instead of looking at their actual reviews and using them to IMPROVE like they should considering they don't have a single positive review on any site anywhere
Shipment booked for collection om 4th November. After several calls made to the call center and several promises made for collection, shipment finally got collected on 11th November. No callbacks from the customer care team to respond to the escalation. The pick up address was only 2 mins from NZpost depot.
Such a terrible experience!
I had a parcel to be delivered to me in Auckland which was picked up in Napier. The web site said they expect 2-3 day delay.
The day after when it was picked up from the sender, the tracking status said it had arrived in Auckland and is getting processed at Highbrook depot.
Then for more than 7 days, the status had never changed.
I rang customer service a few times and had the luck to get connected to a real person once. The staff told me because the item is oversized, it couldn't be delivered to the pickup point where I redirected previously. Again, no such mention was shown on the tracking site. She then asked me for an alternative delivery address so I gave my home address.
A few days passed and hadn't heard anything, tracking status was the same so I rang them again and asked if I can just come and pick it up but I was told that all the Auckland depots are not open to the public and I have to wait.
I was quite pissed off and so wrote an email as well and on the next day, a guy called Ben Kirk who works at Highbrook Depot investigation sent me a very brief two-line email that literally says "You can go to Sandringham Depot and pick it up." It didn't have any information such as the address of the depot, its opening hour, whether it is open to the public and so on.
I wrote him back an email complaining how unprofessional his email is and asked for clarification. Again, hadn't heard back from him so I just had to drive there. When I got there, the facility had all the doors and gates closed. After a few times yelling 'Hello', a lady came out and told me they are not open to the public. I told her I was instructed to come and pick up my parcel and gave her the tracking number. 10 minutes later she came back out and said that they had the parcel but it had just been taken to NZ Post Victoria St. I was absolutely furious but she was really apologetic and so I had to pull out and drive to Victoria street and finally picked up my parcel weeks after it was sent. In addition, the lady behind the counter at Victoria St was shockingly rude which almost made me think she knew the whole story.
Now I'm also waiting for another parcel that suppose to arrive last Friday. I rang them up a couple of days ago and it seems all I can do with NZ Post delivery delay is just wait.
Paid for express international service. $! To US. Expected delivery time "Express 3 - 9 working days" That info is from NZ post site. I will let the tracking show the problem. 19 days later as of today.(19/10/22)

So 19 days and it's still in the air somewhere! I don't believe it's due to Covid because we are 2 years in and they will have managed expectations by getting accurate info on their website by now surely?
The package is time sensitive and I did mention this at the postal service office and was assured this service would meet the requirements. It has not so $ down the $80 down the toilet and a further $300 is needed to repeat the exercise.
For most of this year if not longer we have not been receiving mail addressed to my husband and myself but other people in our house with a different surname have. We have not received council voting papers, rates, Vehicle registration, mail from my employer and birthday cards. I have contacted the senders who all confirm that the mail has been sent. A family member with the same surname moved overseas and put a redirection for their mail on and has in the past received our rates. Today I contacted NZ Post about this and they looked into it for me and told me that all mail addressed to us is delivered to us. This is clearly not happening and is not an isolated case. We have had to pay penalties for late payment of rates as we haven't received the water and land rates demands. I said to the NZ Post staff member I was dealing with that we haven't received our mail and I would like to know what we are meant to do from here as I accept they don't have it. He told me they deliver everything that is addressed to us. As we were going in circles and he could not help me he wished me a lovely day and hung up on me. I still don't have a solution to my problem and NZ Post haven't acknowledged that there is a problem, which there clearly is. Waste my time calling.
Never deliver on given time. Waited all day for my parcel just to find out will not deliver. Hopeless. Nz Post haven't even scanned my item that they already collected from send over 1 week ago. Seems like it's lost. If you call them they just blame on covid. Aramex does way better job then them.
I am consantly having parcels lost or sent to the wrong address.
Whats so wrong with this courier service provider.
All the parcels that finally arrive due to considerate and honest neighbours are clearly labelled with my address.
They certainly don't care about their clients even when you complain.
Maybe I should sue for the stress caused by this constant diregard on whther parcels are delivered or not.
It's a pity there isn't a negative star rating.

Slow
People pay for over night and it takes up 2 3 days even months or have nothing show up at all.
All they can say is contact the company your purchased from. Why so they can pull more money out of their business for your stuff up. Once a company hands over their goods it's up to the next company to take care of it... not nz post they don't care. I bet half their workers are stealing the parcels themselves.
All the Information on their website is utter useless. Some how my parcel has been lost in seaview which is literally down the road from me?
Hi,
I have sent a package on the 28 March 2022 through the post office by air freight and been advised the parcel will be deliver within 10 working days to Israel however until today the 10th May the parcel still does not left NZ, I have phoned the call centre and they still can't estimate when the parcel will be dispatch form NZ... while I pay for the delivery no one in the post office said to me that there is a chance of a delay for weeks and even months and the delivery is on my own risks however instead they say it will take 10 working days to arrived to his destination, when I called the call centre to check when is the package they said I should read the term and condition which is not acceptable since I purchased it from the post office and no one there mentioned that to me otherwise I won't spend so much money for delivery and send products that expired very soon... this really devastated and disappointed me that people in the call centre can't help me and blame me for not reading the term and condition, I trust the employee who work at the post office to give me the right information... My sister in law sent me at the same time a package from Israel and received it within 3 weeks so why to deliver from NZ would be so hard?. I won't recommended to anyone to use the post office freight and will make sure it will be mentioned at any social media proforma.
Thank you.
My parcel is delivered by NZ POST on wrong address. It's now over a week still waiting for my parcel. Everyday ring them and wait for call back. Use less service recommend to use DHL or anyone else.
Awful, awful service from a company in apparent disarray. 93% negative feedback reflects this. Are they manned by cheap labour immigrants with a poor work ethic?
This has cost me a lot of my personal time and I'm just the recipient of a parcel. No accountability at all.
Package was not delivered due to no signature on delivery. I went online and selected deliver without signature/leave at front door. This was confirmed by email. No delivery. Went online to try and track it or confirm I'd done it correctly.
4 days later - Phoned them, they said they'd follow-up. No word. Drove 6km to 18 Syd Bradley Road depot here in ChCh. Sign on door says depot now closed - pick up from Sockburn or Cashel sorting Centre. A stream of cars were turning up and driving away having read the sign - no pre warning of this change happening obviously.
5 days later rang again - receiver said she'd log an incident. No call back so I phoned again next day (6 days now). Receiver said she couldn't see the logged "incident" and that I'd probably been speaking to one of their "new" staff.
Gave all my details again and phone numbers as they had no idea where my parcel was.
This is for a package from just off Moorhouse Ave To just off Memorial Ave.
This is inefficient to the extreme, time wasting of about 2 hours of my time and counting. There is no accountability and this isn't a service to any degree.
Whatever the drivers get paid is too much. Whatever their CE gets paid is a joke. All the systems and processes need a complete kick in the nether regions and complete reset. Don't give me Covid, labour shortages or any other excuses. This is just down to extreme incompetence both on the ground and at (mis) management level. Disgrace and I even resent my time used to enlighten others as to their incompetence.
I just received a DHL Courier Post item from Sweden to Christchurch in 6 days. Faster than Courierpost across town and trackable every step of the way. Exceptional. Opposite end of the spectrum from Courierpost.
Staff does not know how to speak to the customers, extremely rude and manner less. You are there to help the public not letting your frustration out on them. If they have an option to give them negative rating, I would have given them. I have been working in customer service from last 10 years and never had spoken to my clients like this. Please teach your staff basic etiquettes. I feel awful after speaking to this lady over the phone.
I'm shocked and disgusted that my card I send to Australia took 38 days by airmail. Postage is expensive now so our mail shouldn't take that long from NZ to Australia. We get mail from Australia in 14 days. I expected ours to be no more than 14 days also.
I have booked 6 pickups since December 2021 and all but 1 took over 3 days to pick up and on 4 occasions no driver ever turned up at all even after ringing many times and ended up dropping off to nz post in Green Bay myself. Been selling for 20 years and worst service ive ever seen. Been great until then and in December big problems started.
Rude staff who continually flout the Covid 19 government mandates and have their masks under their chins or not on at all. The rudeness is habitual, giving the lie to the large « all are welcome » sign on the door.
The lady on the phone was so rude she hung up on me while I was questions about my missing parcel. Why do you even hire people like HER
I had parcel from Auckland to Auckland.
It took 5 weeks to arrive, and screwed up my plans.
Was unable to get anyone from Aramax either via phone or email - they are all automated.
Seller was unable to any answers as well.
But the seller was kind enough to send me another parcel for free - this time using Courier Post (NZ Post).
This second delivery arrived 3 days later.
So maybe I am lucky, but I would say NZ Courier is good, and Aramax is definitely the worst possible delivery company in NZ.
Possibly the world. I have done Googled search on Aramax, and they are unbelievably bad in NZ, Aust, India etc. basically worldwide.
Really l have just spoken to NZpost online team about our online purchase of envelopes from NZpost which was supposed to be delivered within 2-3 days.
The order was placed 30th November.
Today we learn the order has not even been picked - 8 days later, and that it should be picked by the end of this week and put out for delivery.
Given current delivery delays, are we even going to see the envelopes before we close office on the 17th?
OR should we just refund everyone's money that has paid for goods needed for their summer camping holidays?
Frankly NZPost rather than spending millions rebranding, how about spending that $ on improving your customer services?
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. There is no customer service and to be honest they really dont care about how the customer feels. Still with day 11 for deliver after being told 5 day delay
Send a parcel overnight and still sitting at deport for two days. Drivers being lazzy not doing what they getting paid for is to deliver the items. Bad service and not reliable.
