The prices look to good to be true, Could anyone tell me if this site is a scam?
I ordered three LED noteboards from these folks for Christmas for my kids. I got them in time for Christmas (but I ordered in the last week of November.) On Christmas day, the kids opened these and I put batteries into the LED boards for them to play. Within the FIRST MINUTE, the boards started smoking and emitting plastic burning fumes. Needless to say, I pulled the batteries, ran the boards under water, and put them directly in our metal dumpster so my house wouldn't catch on fire. I sent an email on Christmas day requesting a refund and explaining the problem. I still haven't received a refund, and it's now SIX DAYS later.
I realize the site does not create the products, so I can't blame them for the quality issue. But I DO have a problem with their customer service. I should have had a refund within two to three days (and that's being generous because I notified them on the holiday.) I'm still waiting for a reply and/or a refund. Because of my experience, I won't be buying from them again, nor will I recommend them.
Oh my gosh, I have NEVER been so angry. I recently ordered a black crocheted black lacy kind of scarf. When I opened the bag it smelled like it was made with something awful and unspeakable. I dropped it into the washing machine, with a little detergent. Mind you I didn't wash it, I just wanted the smell out. It fell apart in front of my eyes.
Emails to them are not answered. This scarf was only $10 but those of you that plan to spend more than that need to think about doing business with people like this.
They lured me into giving them my info for a $15 Amazon Kindle, then they wanted me to pay to bid on it with no guarantee that i would get it at that price. nomorerack.com is a scam, don't get involved! It's a waste of your precious time! Just Google " nomorerack.com complaints" and you will find the truth about this con game.
I returned a necklace that was totally misrepresented. It showed large diamonds but when I received it, they were actually chips. Really... chips. I sent it back, delivery confirmation and glad I did. They received it Dec. 12 but there is still no credit to my visa acct. Stay away, people. You will lose money!
I would run not walk away from this place. I ordered successfully enough several times. I didn't expect quick delivery and didn't receive it but that didn't deter me. Overall I found the merchandiser to be of so-so quality. Really watch what you order if you do because no deal is a good deal if you never use it.
What has me very upset with them is in Oct of 2011 I returned three items in two packages. I paid the return postage and sent them with delivery confirmation through USPS. Today is Dec. 29th, 2011 and I have no credit for the packages although USPS shows them delivered on 10/31/11. TWO packages with no credit given. Now if one was unaccounted for I might even bite, but both... now really. I emailed them about 20 times (over a month's time frame) before even receiving a reply and then was told their warehouse doesn't have it. Now I just sent the delivery confirmation receipts via scan. Their customer service is so bad, no deal is worth it and then to know you are stuck with it, even though you don't want it, better yet pay return shipping charges to boot. STAY AWAY!
I never bought anything through them but I know many people who have and they didn't have any problems with them.
I'm doing an edit on my initial review for Nomorerack. I tried to just write another review but Site Jabber ''suggested'' that I try reviewing another site:)
Anyhow, I bashed them prematurely. I ordered an item and then after researching it, came across it on another site that it retailed for 46.99 less. The amount I was told I was saving. So assuming all the terrible things that I read on here to be all true, I panicked. And I wrote them a pretty angry letter calling them a liar pretty much, that they weren't any better than the average scammer, etc. things like that.
I received it today and to my surprise am very pleased with it. It looks to be well worth the value they said it to be. Even the packaging looks to be on the higher end side. It's a mini naxa media player. I wasn't in the market for one but when I saw it for 20.00 I decided to buy it for someone. A nice stocking stuffer even. They said it was worth 65.00. I can see where somewhere it would sell for that. And so now I'm inclined to believe them. Overall I am happy with the whole experience. They were right on time with the time they said it would take, they were communicative and it was sent fed-ex. So overall it wasn't too shabby of a deal. I don't know if using paypal has anything to do with better service or not, I've seen on here where people are bashing paypal. That's crazy to me. If you can't be happy with paypal, then I'd say you're pretty hard to please. Because I know for fact that paypal is on the up and up and will do whatever they can to satisfy their customers. Their customer service is great. And to you negatives out there, no I am not employed by either one of these places. And don't really care either way if you do think so. I'm taking them from a 2 to a big 5. After all it's the least I can do for bashing them prematurely. I've still got an umbrella on the way. That was valued at 25.00 and sold for 7.00. Granted it's just an umbrella, but it's one of those clear ones. Pretty. Hopefully I'll be just as pleased. Oh and did I mention that I wrote them a letter of apology? I did.
Don't order anything from this site!
I ordered a really cool kids thing in early November, and it's now Christmas Eve and there is no sight of it.
Customer Service did send a couple of emails about what to do, (lots of hoops to jump thru) but still NOTHING COMES for a gift.
Stick with profession/trusted sites like Amazon.
I ordered an item for my daughter for Christmas. I placed my order on NOVEMBER 14th, any normal website that would be PLENTY of time to receive the item in time for the holidays, not nomorerack.com. It has been 2 days shy of SEVEN weeks since I placed my order and still nothing and their "customer service" is via email only. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
This company has been nothing but a rip off. Purchased an item then canceled it within 12 hours, was told it would take 10 to 14 days to get a credit card refund or 24 hours to get in store credit. Chose the in store credit because I was buying a Christmas present to send to the east coast. It took 3 weeks to get the credit $76.00 and then when ever I try to use it (to this day) I am told either there is not enough credit $50 item or credit is not allowed for an item!
Their customer service is nothing more then form emails.
Also bought a watch within that first 12 hours on this site, 2 weeks later I get an email with direction to fed-ex and a tracking number. This is 2 weeks ago and that tracking number does not exist. Tried tracking it from the order history and it sent me to the USPS, again tracking number does not exist. Several emails to NOMORERACK.COM and again nothing but for letters and lies no answers. I think it is based some where english is not spoken.
This site should be closed and legal action taken against it by all those who have been ripped off, Credit Card compaines ishould be urged to disallow the use of their cards on tghis site and Paypal should ban it. I personally am filing complaints to help aid in this... I have saved every peice of documentation and I am forwarding them to the appropriate fraud investigators as stated.
STAY AWAY FROM "NOMORERACK. COM"
I should have read the reviews first, although I only lost a dollar. This site is a scam! I ordered one free item (99ยข shipping) and that is the last I heard about it. They did respond to my email but ignored the part about not receiving my order. Also, it is impossible to get off of their mailing list. Expect at least one email a day, sometimes more. I finally had to go into Google and report it as spam and block it. So, stay away from this site!
I just recently discovered Nomorerack.com through a friend's recommendation. I'm amazed at the daily deals there on name brand products! I just found a great deal on a Uniden telephone. Around 70 % the retail price. I also checked the site out with the BBB and they have an A- rating which is excellent. I will definitely shop here again.
Between 11:46 - 11:54 each day is when an Insanity Deal pops up. 12/14 was a Sony SLR camera. 12/15 was a Sony Playstation 3. Starting around 11:45 I have been continually hitting my browser's refresh button to reload the page. The 12/14 Insanity Deal popped up after hitting refresh about 5 seconds and I clicked on it and it was Sold Out. The Playstation 3 on 12/15 was even worse. I did not want the 5 second gap to go by between refreshes so I was hitting it ever second from 11:51 on just to test my theory out. Well, I hit refresh, refresh again, it popped up on the screen and already had Sold Out across the image. They could not have sold out of an item in 1 second.
I know a lot of their customers have bought the other items but I am looking at this site just for the Insanity Deals. What I think is happening is that it auto posts Insanity Bids without knowing if they have stock or if they are sold out of that scheduled Insanity Deal. Either way, it's a load of crock to try and sell something that people don't even have an opportunity to purchase. Especially if it is your biggest marketing tool.
My mother and I both ordered two separate adorable light up doggie collars back in October. I contacted customer service then. Guess What? No record of my order. Luckily I keep everything. I had the proof. It got me no where though. They tell me to give it one more week and this never ever happens to them before. So I wait a week, nothing happens and I go back to customer service. It's some guy named Al this time because the first Cust. Serv rep, named Jan evidently thinks alls ok marks my case as resolved. Al can't find my existing case either but he disappears on me as well. It's now almost the end of December and nothing so I wrote them a letter letting them know I thought they were a fake company. I get a response from Jan apologizing offering to let me pick out something else from them. HaHa Don't think so. I used my debit card instead of a debit card so I'm more than likely not gonna get my money back but I can however delete them from my mail and unsubscribe from them. Thanks guys for taking the time to put a site together like SiteJabber to keep us all warned and informed
Decided to give the site a shot and went on nomorerack.com to buy a new phone for my brother, got a white iPhone 4s for $99 through the sites Insanity Deals. Not a scam and definitely worth checking out.
Saw a promotion for this on Martha Stewart Living show and checked it out. Really amazing deals there. The View also mentioned them as a deep discount place. Nomorerack has a friend referral plan that earns you points and really cool gifts too that I'm signing up for.
Ordered three Angry Birds Classic Alarm Clock with credits 6 weeks ago just now showed up. Shipped from hong kong...
Ordered a bunch of Bowtie Earphone Socket Cap four weeks ago, havent shown up yet.
No real tracking... emailed customer service didnt hear back.
This sites not reliable at all.
Not pleased at all
Thought this was the answer to all my Christmas shopping needs. Ordered a month before Christmas. They had no problem taking my money from my credit card. I never got tracking numbers or any type of contact saying my items were coming. After multiple generic email responses replying to my emails saying customer service was their priority, i finally called. After holding for 10 to 15 mins i got a human. She looked up my order and put me on hold. We got disconnected and she called me back. She said my order was unsuccessful and i could get my $ back on my card. Good thing I have no time to buy presents since I won't get my money re credited to my card in time for Christmas.
Nomorerack is terrible, I emailed 8 times asking about why my items that I purchased a month prior had still not been shipped and had a "processing" detail next to all 3 items, none of my items were shipped from a global warehouse. I got not a single response. I did get the same form letter from a bot, 2 times saying shipping times vary, but they didnt address anything that was actually in my email. Now I asked for a refund in the last email, and all of the sudden they show as shipped, but the tracking numbers are bogus. I FOUND A PHONE NUMBER. *******798 but it just starts you on hold, and ive been on hold for 7 minutes with music playing and still not a single live human being. Ive disputed the charges with my bank.
Answer: There return policy is to lie to you
Answer: I think everyone in this position should start filing reports with the authorities! No reputable business treats customers like this. Get the word out on this scam company. It's the ones who give up and walk away that keeps choxi/nomorerack alive
Answer: I believe it depends on what you order, and from which "partner" company is offering it. Folks, Choxi is not shipping this stuff out. They are however, the ones raking in the cash. The reason you get so many packages is because it is being shipped from those companies. Choxi is the middleman. IF you got your orders correct, Good for you, I for one am happy that you didn't have the nightmare of dealing with what a vast many of people have. But, No, there are no exaggerations... I can only speak for myself, and, use facts supported by documentation. The comments I read seemed eerily similar to my own. The ONLY reason I got refunded was due to the involvement of the BBB of NY. I was getting ignored and a run around before that. Choxi is NOT holding the companies that are sending shoddy merchandise or not sending merchandise at all accountable. It seems that they don't care, after they get paid you are on your own. Does this mean they can't change those faults. NO, it doesn't. It does mean that they need to vet their partners a little more stringently, and to hold them accountable, before subjecting consumers en masse. What I wrote in my first post is the complete truth.
Answer: Consider yourself lucky they do not ship to Canada. Horrible company to buy anything from! Would definitely NOT recommend buying from them - even torn newspaper for a 2-year old to have fun throwing them away. They will find a way to mess up that too.
Answer: I never had any issue with items that I bought.
Answer: There is NO return policy. One item I bought from them was not at all what was pictured and di not fit. I returned it to them with the label they sent me, only to have it returned back to my home saying it was not a valid address. What the...? It is their label! And I was only credited $ 6.00 of the $17.00 purchase price. They said they only accept items for return if they are defective. Another item was defective, so I i quired how to get an exchange for a workable item. They would not even exchange it, nor refund my money, nor could I send it back. They are liars and just want your money for the crappy products they sell. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
