The company, particularly the NFL, faces significant criticism from customers who express deep dissatisfaction with its focus on profit over fan experience. Common concerns include a lack of accessibility to games, inadequate customer support, and issues with subscription services, which have left many feeling frustrated and ignored. While some customers appreciate the product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment is negative, highlighting a perceived decline in the league's commitment to its fan base. This disconnect suggests a pressing need for the NFL to enhance its customer service and address the growing concerns surrounding accessibility and support.

Last year the NFL.com messed up my Husbands Christmas order for my Bengals Nugent Jersey. As promised by their representative, not only was the order corrected they waived the costs and provided my Jersey for free. Even though I received it after Christmas it was the best gift I received last year, not to mention it made my Husband very happy to see his wife in his teams jersey. I lost My Husband in April of this year and my jersey is my most treasured possession, my husband tried for many years to talk me into letting him spend the money on one. Now its priceless!. Thank you NFL.com for making right with us last year.
I placed an order on Sept 23 and my account was charged. It stated that all items would be shipped within 5 business days. I needed these items for a baby shower on Oct. 16. Last week I called NFL.com because none of my items were shipped. They apologized for the delay, stating that they were revamping their warehouse. I checked today, and my items were still not shipped. I stated that I wanted to cancel my order. They stated that they could not cancel my order because of a cliché in the computer system. But they would waive the return fee once I got the order and I could ship it back. I asked to speak to a supervisor who was not available. I explained that it's pretty difficult to return merchandise that has not been shipped to you, nor is it scheduled to be shipped anytime in the near future. So they've charged me for merchandise that they have not, and apparently do not plan on sending me anytime in the near future. Nor can I get my money back. My grandson will be graduating from high school by the time he gets his NFL onesy (0-3mo). No merchandise, no refund, this type of merchandising borders on theft by deception. I am extremely disappointed, and have not received any satisfaction from the company, just a bunch of worthless apologies. The representative apologized for the delay regarding the high volume of calls. I stated that it must be due to the poor customer service. She said that was probably so. I ordered NFL items from Amazon yesterday, and I received notice today that they have already been shipped. Do no deal with NFL.com.
I purchased an NFL jersey and upon receiving it realized it was the wrong size. I contacted NFL.com about exchanging it for a different size and they said that was no longer their policy. If I wished to get a different size, I would need to return the jersey for a full refund (minus the extra $25 I paid for faster shipping) and then buy another at the correct size. I explained I did not want to do this because I purchased the item on sale and it was now full price. They could care less, so I returned it as I did not have any other options. These thieves simply claimed they never got my shipment and I was out over $100. NFL.com did absolutely nothing for me except waste my time and steal my money. I will NEVER shop at NFL.com, EVER again.
I spent almost a hundred dollars on shirts for the Super Bowl. They arrived way after they said they would and after the game. I promptly shipped them back and never received a credit. When I called to find out why, they said they donated them to charity! I call bull$#*!! Not even an email to say that I can't return my shirts? I am quite sure that they will keep my money and resell the shirts. The NFL must be making a ton of money by cheating hard working people. I will never shop on their website again and you shouldn't either! Hugely disappointed!
Don't sign up for a trial pass, it's almost impossible to cancel. What a scam! Terrible terrible terrible
I ordered my boyfriend a pair of cowboys shorts. I accidentally ordered the wrong size so I called to see if I could exchange them for a bigger size, NOPE. They don't do exchanges. So they told me to just send them back and wait for my refund and I can re-order. No big deal, just inconvenient. SO I sent them back at the end of July, waited and waited, heard nothing. So I called a month later, found out if still hadn't been processed in their "receiving department" once it was I would get an e-mail. Never heard anything. Called back two weeks later. It had been processed but I had to wait another two weeks for my refund. Never heard anything or got a refund. Long story short, after multiple phone calls, I finally received my refund at the END of October. Needless to say, I did not re-order the shorts. That's ridiculous.
I ordered a Jordan Mathews jersey for my wife last Christmas. The Eagles got knocked out of the playoff hunt the next week so we put the jersey away till next year. Took it out for the first game of this season and realized the name was misspelled. MATTHEWS was spelled MATTHWES! I've contacted nfl.com and they said that it was out of their 30 day policy of being able to be returned or exchanged. So they've taken my money and moved on and I'm stuck with a misspelled jersey. Very disappointed! I would recommend everyone to avoid shopping here and shop elsewhere since they do not stand behind there products at nfl.com.
This website and company are trash. I ordered my husband a jersey and it said it was in stock. I paid for two day shipping and all I got delivered was a piece of paper with my order number and a coupon. When I called and questioned them I got I'm sorry and the jersey had to be made and I'd receive it in 3 to 4 weeks. They didn't resolve the problem. They could have done something to fix it but they didn't. Ridiculous! Don't buy from this website!
I ordered a Christmas gift with 2 day shipping, 14 days later they forgot to send it? They have no phone number and only auto respond to emails I know they are busy but I've never been more disappointed in a $159 online purchase! After a two hour chat session with a customer service representative (mostly loading/ disconnecting) she offered me $10 in store credit pending extra shipping costs! I have waited 13 days for a $159 two day product, why would I ever enter my credit card info on this site again?
I think they order from the bootleg Chinese websites and then ship.
It is more time efficient and cost efficient to order from sites over seas where they do not even speak English! Oh yah Seng Hi Yung A Fu also will email you with a valid tracking number!
Save hundreds of dollars and time/patients and order DIRECT from nike in china!
I ordered a jersey for my son xmas present, being told that it would arrive before xmas. I then find out through tracking it wont get here until the day after. Call them to find out what happen and I just got a im sorry excuse. I wont ever do business with these ppl again. They had 2 weeks advance to deliver. Pathetic.
NFL.com has some of the worst webmasters in the history of BILLION DOLLAR COMPANIES. Nearly everyone that uses it encounters some sort of technical issue. For instance, today it was a location services fail. I visited the Schedule page and immediately noticed that all games times were off by an hour.
For whatever reason, NFL.com thinks I live on the east coast even though my city state & zip are all entered correctly in my profile. But that's not the main problem with the site...
The main problem with NFL.com is poor web management. Instead of constantly evolving with new technology and incrementally adding new features, they'll wait 3-5 years until everyone is pissed off and then they'll completely overhaul the entire site, leaving everyone lost confused. If I had to guess, I'd say their IT department is run by some out of touch 50 year old executive.
By itself, their lack of social presence renders NFL.com a catastrophic fail of epic proportion. There's no discussion board, user blogs or fan interactivity. The website's entire community presence is powered by the Facebook comments plugin which is a whopping 2 lines of code that a 4th grader could easily install and this is a 10 BILLION dollar company! Ready for it? Here it is:
Add that code your website and you'll be just as sophisticated as NFL.com!
Alas, I could go on for hours about little things such as the mediocre navigation or the "in yo face" bombarding of ads, but what it really boils down to one thing: THEIR TEAM SUCKS. If websites had their own Coders Bowl, NFL.com wouldn't even make the payoffs. They seriously need to need to draft some new webmasters!
DON"T BUY ANYTHING FROM NFL, COM
If you buy a service, you only get 7 days to cancel. No partial refunds. Even if you lose your TV feed to the NFL network. Sucks to be using this crappy service. Do not buy any service. You get nothing back... ever. I am thinking of taking this issue to my credit card company and getting a partial refund.
And they automatically renew you for next season because they have your credit card and they can. You can't opt out on the web site either, you have to contact them during working hours.
It barely works. I signed up for a free trial subscription (normally $70) to watch Thursday night football online, because I don't get NFL network. They don't even show the games, they show the most boring commentary on the game and then a highlight once in a while. I was so pissed off that I didn't even finish watching and when I tried to cancel the trial, the only way to do that is to chat with a live person, and surprise you can't reach one.^&%! This website. It barely works and it's false advertisement all around.
This web site is very laggy. Runs like trash. Slow & glitchy. Mobile app is even worse. Its a shame it has real potential bc it is NFL.com but the tech department needs to be fired today. Web site design is flawed.
Our fantasy league switched from cbssports.com this year as the new commissioner thought he was doing us a favor by switching to a free site. Wow does this site TOTALLY SUCK! The never ending pop up videos and ads slow down this site to the point that you might as well wait for the newspaper the next day to check scores and stats. I've resorted to using CBS for the game play by play. NFL.com is too cute for their own good and junked up their site to the point of being a total failure. Just try and load game day stats on Sunday and it will take 3 minutes and then when it refreshes another 3 minutes. I would be will ing to pay the fees for the whole league to get our previous site back. nfl.com dosen't even allow you to give feedback as to how much they suck. My advise... if you have the option, do not use this site for your league.
If you don't mind a colorful flash site with webpages that load slowly with lots of bells and whistles, this site won't bother you. But trying to navigate the myriad of features, shops, contests, videos, and articles can be a challenge even for the most patient of visitors. Only visit if you can defeat the urge to not just forfeit your time.
Okay, so the NFL actually thought it was a smart design idea to not have "Schedule" as a top level navigation link? Seriously? I see "Events" and then they have schedule sub-nav options, but none of them are week-to-week schedules. Brilliant!
Perhaps a few usability tests are in order NFL.
This website is a SCAM! I looked all over the internet for someone who had an Aaron Rodgers jersey for my son. I ordered one from NFL.com. When it didn't arrive, I contacted them and found out that they charged my Paypal and had the billing and shipping set up as someone I didn't even know. When I went to reorder, it was fortunate I looked at the order confirmation before hanging up--she ordered the wrong size (although she confirmed the item twice), billed my card and set it up to ship to someone I didn't even know. Of course the jersey I wanted was now out of stock. Horrible Horrible site! > :(
NFL.com – Arguably, this sport may have the toughest and meanest son of guns out there. You would probably see hockey players throwing punches at each other but what if these guys did the same without their helmets on? One player will probably go down for the count.
I love this sport. I also love wearing the gears, it makes me look bigger. Heh. As for the site, honestly, they all look like the same to me. Just like NBA.com. I often have game scores on the watch as well as any developments in the league. Another 5 stars for their site.
DO NOT GO THERE TO ORDER! - I order two nfl shirts for my niece and nephew for Christmas on December 4th. NFL shipped the order on the 6th via UPS to a (USPS)bulk mail center. I paid $5 for shipping which would have been sufficient for a 1lb package to go first class. Its December 27th and I have yet to receive the package. THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE SENT IT BULK MAIL! I PAID FOR 1st CLASS! Be sure to find out how you package is sent before ordering.
