I find ND most useful for distributing neighborhood events, lost pet issues, security/safety notices, and contractor recommendations. However, I find there are too many ads and a tendency for many issues to become "debate stages" that devolve into opinion contests. I like the availability of filters and controls that you can use to turn off comment postings and future notifications. More filters and controls would be nice.

Keeps you informed and up to date on all things happening in your neighborhood. I use it everyday. Great place to buy and sell items and to get advise on most everything.

A lot of very nice people respond. Need to space out interviews for a timely opportunity. Need to fit in to my time restraints.

Helps me find out what is happening at the neighborhood level. Great place to sell unwanted items. Keeps me connected.

Love this site for local information, for sale and sales items. The only downside are the negative posts. Seems like no matter what the subject is, there is always someone who can't say anything nice.

I check out Nextdoor daily. I like knowing that this is one way to know what is going on in your neighborhood. We can not be too careful, now a days... watching out for each other, is a must!

Nextdoor is excellent for recommendations, neighborhood news, lost pets & information. Our particular neighborhood happens to have some unhappy people who lack filters but it is balanced (like life) with others who are a blessing. All in all a good website.

Great place to communicate with neighbors, and learn about neighborhood activities. It is also a real place to sell and buy items from neighbors.

I like Nextdoor because I am able to keep up with what is going on in our neighborhood get good information find garage sales

I sometimes click on a post and want it to go to that particular one, but it does not. It even does not appear at all. Maybe it is my ipad. I like being able to communicate with my neighbors.

I joined Nextdoor a few years ago, and I have found it to be both informative and somewhat entertaining. I like being able to find out neighborhood news just by going online. It has helped me find out organizations to join, where I have met neighbors and other nice people. I also enjoy getting different perspectives on different issues.

Good way to ask for reputable help for home repairs. References for new neighbors. Awareness of possible perpetrators.

It will not let you post if you disagree with a viewpoint. I made ONE comment in mild disagreement, was sent a scathing email with a severe reprimand and was immediately banned from posting, replying or using the service.

My little Boston Terrier got out several times and thanks to Nextdoor, she was brought home every time. This service is invaluable!

Good experience overall but some people use this site to get on a soapbox to rant about something. Hard to navigate through the ads and rants to get the info you want to see.

When this app debuted I was really excited. It's been a great way to connect with neighbors and discuss issues of mutual concern. But there are SO MANY ads. I just ignore all the notifications now because they "notify" me of new ads, or of the fact that somebody said something yesterday that they've already notified me twice about. I still like the app, just there's more noise less signal.
