Keeping up on the neighborhood news, whether good or bad is also of value.

Some great content, some not great & everything in between. Same can be said of those providing the content. Too bad background checks cannot be done before being approved to be allowed on site!

Nice to be in contact with neighbors. Some threads and comments are interesting I hate surveys that require me to answer a minimal number of characters

I have been a Nextdoor participant since buying my home in Florida. The site is useful in keeping up with the goings on in the neighborhood as well as the surrounding areas. It is especially helpful in keeping up with anything that is happening while away from home. I love the whole idea behind this site. I am also a member in my neighborhood area in New York, so it is great to have at both locations.

Nextdoor, it's a useful application for neighborhood news and resources. I find the neighbor rants to be hilarious.

I recently had an excellent experience with Next Door trying to track down a second hand computer for a low income student with whom I work. Not only was a computer donated, but I got some excellent advice on Comcast internet program for low income families. It took me about a day to put all this together!

I appreciate getting info on things happening in my area. Everyone is free to state their thoughts and may or may not be helpful but that's the beauty of this forum. Having a title on each article is helpful to know whether I want to read it!

Next door provides a great way to keep in touch regarding lost animals problems in the neighborhood, traffic accidents, andrecommendations for home services

Too much bickering and pettiness. There's a core of writers who love to see their thoughts in print and believe me, they are not worth reading. Spelling and grammar hardly reflect a high school education.

Excellent means to report crime, share information, establish a neighborhood relationship. Have learned a lot through NextDoor.

Only one thing I could complain about is it's not very user friendly. I stumble around trying to get back to what I've listed or the last comments to my ad.

So great to be in touch with others! Downside is sometimes people get on their soapbox and sometimes the app doesn't work as well as I'd like. Still, I love it overall!

This web site provides a useful way for neighbors in adjoining neighborhoods to connect and share all different kinds of information from black bear sightings, recommendations of a/c companies to restaurant reviews. Local law enforcement has a presence on there too which is a bonus

Excellent site for sharing info, selling, finding reputable help, etc.
Only negative is whiners complaining about ridiculous things and people who get rude...

I enjoy having Nextdoor as a resource for businesses, recommendations, items for sale, events, and alerts. It was also wonderful to read the writings of our neighborhood poet. I hope he was not prevented from posting as his writings were like a breath of fresh air. I think politics should be kept out of the posting unless they are closely monitored.

I love having a place to go for recommendations and again I love love that people find neighbors fur babies and keep them, post pictures and try to find their owner!

Very helpful and gives me insight into what is happening in my neighborhood and other areas around me.

Great place to see what's happening, give away items and sell items. My only complaint is sometimes people use it to complain about neighborhood issues.
