ND allows Leads and reviewers to engage in biased moderation. A female member is a grandstand attention seeker in our neighborhood. She uses ND as Her platform to control, hijack and harass other member's posts. There is a Lead who supports her and removes all comments on posts that this female troll wants removed even though they are civil and respectful.
It is extreme and obvious. ND administrators do nothing to address the abuse; and allows it to continue.
The current Administration of ND is failing in supporting the Founder's original mission and objective. It has become a toxic platform and is only getting worse due to the poor management of Leads who abuse their privileges and are biased in their reviews. Leads could address A.M. of T. H. in advising her to modify her comments. Instead Leads have allowed her to make false accusations, mock others, belittles and attempts to minimize the validity of other members' concerns, she rants, uses all CAPS on her communication. It is all uncivil, obnoxious and outright disrespectful. Unfortunately ND is permitting this to continue from this member. No one in corporate responds to the concerns of members regarding this woman and her extreme violations upon others.
Don't sign up, they have 0 customer service, 0 ways to contact them and it will take you 30 minutes to find where to cancel because the steps listed on google are outdated... they literally do not want you to be able to find the cancel button but make it super easy to take payment and setup the ads, but after you get setup easily... the problems begin you can barely make changes and the there is 0 support is ridiculous
Promotes hate and the site needs to be banned from the internet!. I was removed because, hideous women were stalking me and made threats that they would have me removed! I did nothing wrong and NOW Nextdoor is promoting hate/slander!
Beware before installing this app in your phone, contains trackers and other intelligence tools to track and record users. Then the information is collected saved and analyzed to target you and sell your personal information to businesses, to include your name, address, locations you visit, stores you shop at, your behavior, your voice, and clips of you talking on the phone, videos from your camera, and screenshots from your phone. You'll be out of your mind if you give this app the permission to access your folders, mic or camera. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
No real discussion of area problems. Mods want no debate, just pleasant chatter about not much if anything. They'll ban someone who the mods don't agree with, scrub your content. Just worthless..
I always watch what I say and am very careful to not be offensive, but someone disagreed with me, flagged me and I was banned. This app is garbage.
Nextdoor allowed a bullying post which provided false information and our home location. We follows the process to have it removed they did not respond or take down the post.
They should listen to the Green Day song, "American Idiot." It describes the site and the moderators perfectly. A bunch of bat s*** ignorant lunatics spewing paranoid and crazy nonsense all over the internet and every time anyone stands up against the ignorant bullies for being hateful and nonsensical they block the writer saying they violated the "rudeness policy" or something absurd. This is hilarious because every other post on there is ridiculously rude and/or bizarre.
Although Next Door insists on full disclosure, it is dangerous to put one's privacy at risk.
Lately, I was booted off, permanently, for using a pseudonym. I have no idea how I was discovered, however, my anonymity was rightly so, after receiving bitter responses only those hiding behind a screen dare give. They skirt the "disrespectful" guideline continually, yet I'm suppose to expose myself to the point one of these anger management candidates should track me down & possibly harm me? NO
Another unabashed issue is that of accepting nefarious paid avertissements. People like Sundae & Open Door are poaching our homes for Investors. Disgusting!
If I could rate this a minus 666, I would. Once they hit the eject button, don't even bother to try to find why they found your comment offensive. A friend of mine had a "stalker" who would make lewd comments wherever she posted a comment. A year ago he called her the worst of the worst in a post about gardening, She replied by calling him a vulgar liar. Her comment was removed but not his. Why? Because he's a "lead". A year later she recalled the incident on line in a post about how ugly the comments were becoming on the site. She was promptly banned for not following guidelines. She asked that an explanation of guideline that was violated. They just cut and pasted answers that basically said she was offensive. She contacted them repeatedly and was ignored. The sad thing was that she was in communication with someone about an assistance dog as she is handicapped and Nextdoor didn't give a damn. She had no way to contact that person as they had not exchanged phone numbers yet and practically begged them to explain the violation and explained to them what a hardship this was creating for her.
They completely ignored her. When I tried to intervene on her behalf and seek answers or an explanation, I was ignored also. She has since fallen and spent two days in hospital.
They are a despicable bunch who cannot admit they made a knee jerk reaction to something that happened a year ago to HER.
If a post about Nextdoor is started you will be kicked off if you make a negative comment. It is in their guidelines. I kid you not.
I wouldn't belong to that site if you paid me.
People don't waste your time with Nextdoor, it's nothing but racist white Trumptards spewing hate and conspiracy. Omg and whining bitter nosy Karen's. The funny thing is when you call them on their bull "S they pout and cry and report you. If you like to be bombarded with emails with people constantly whining about everything then next-door app is for you.
Next door must be ran by a bunch of rednecks because white people talk $#*! all day long about blacks but when blacks commit on their post the pigs suspend black people account. I don't give a $#*! if they suspend me permanently.

Helena Hebert 04/28/2022
John lol. Says the guy who never posts proof I'm wrong. Burden of proof is on you, bub.
Helena Hebert 04/27/2022
John lol. Let's look at your guy Trump. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-shared-psychosis-of-donald-trump-and-his-loyalists/?amp=true
They have commented on Trump's alleged paranoid, sadistic, and psychopathic tendencies; diagnosed him with narcissistic personality disorder; and suggested he might suffer from neurological conditions like dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Naturally, many have questioned his fitness to serve as the President of the United States. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/finding-new-home/*******/diagnosing-trump-mental-illness?amp
But you know Trump is sooo much better right?

Nothing was wrong with what I said...
If you state your opinion and it isn't socialist libtard demorat you will be kicked off. You aren't supposed to post politics, but if it is socialist libtard or Trump Derangement Syndrome it's okay. If you try to rebutt it they will ban you. Not a site that is true to it's description.
Had a liberal arguing with me and telling me how stupid I was and how much smarter she was because of her college degree! They deleted my account but left the Liberal problem maker on!
Nextdoor, refuses to allow you to choose to be unlisted in their directory. In addition, they try to force you to reveal your full legal name, disregarding that you have been a victim of identity theft and stalking. They are completely violating any right to privacy and in doing so promote nefarious activity by the bullies on the site. I have only posted 2 things in 5 years, which was a man trespassing through my backyard, and someone allowing their dog to take a larger than normal poop on my yard without even attempting to clean it up. Nextdoor's response was to deactivate my account for using an aliases and remove the posting of the video of the man walking through my backyard. (Note I have dense woods in my backyard and a creek and there are two paths 3 houses down in either direction he could've/should've used.
I asked for a list of the community monitors and the list showed a juvenile boy across the street from me with 2 community monitor accounts. This boy has flown drowns over my backyard several times, tares up my grass with his go-cart, goes in the woods behind my house and stares at me with his little friend. It is highly likely that the man walking through my backyard was his little friends older brother and they did that to intimidate me as I am a single female living alone. And likely why he was so quick to have my video removed. Nextdoor is a platform for bullies to not only harass you but to become community monitors and silence/censor you when you call them on their game. Best to turn the other cheek and stay off of Nextdoor b/c it allows them a way in.
I used to think I was surrounded by a wonderful community—before nextdoor.com, that is. Now I'm afraid to go outside. Just kidding! This site seems to be chock full of angry, entitled people—the type that cliches are made of. You know, the curmudgeon that raises his fists at his neighbors, and the officious grandstander, and the Karens that clutch their pearls in indignance.
If you are like me, and would rather live your life with your face in the sun, oblivious to the dark energy that lurks in the shadows of your community, don't bother with this site. What will you find if you do sign up? Nextdoor offers a heaping helping of "I never!" posts and officious finger-wagging—and in between, an inordinate number of desperately-seeking-housing posts, people asking total strangers for handouts, and blatant self-promotion that somehow gets by the moderators.
I joined for a few months, but then found myself getting sucked in and wasting my time reading nonsense. It's an unhealthy environment that often left me shaking my head. I originally joined to do some paid digital marketing. Unfortunately, Nextdoor.com can't even get that right. Their system had many glitches, and after initially apologizing for the technical difficulties on their end, their tech support simply dropped the ball. Oh well. I'll spend my marketing $$ elsewhere.
Answer: The negative reviews are honest reactions to being duped into sharing too much personal information (that Nextdoor now owns and will NEVER delete and will continue to sell to advertisers until your dying day) to join a site that seems friendly on the surface, but which does NOTHING to protect users. I was bullied by a convicted murderer, who is a Lead in my neighborhood--and I was banned from the site for complaining. Leads are nothing more than early adopters of the site who have been assigned power over other users so that Nextdoor does not have to police it's own site. In short: No. The negative reviews are not wrong. Heed them! I wish I had known before it was too late!
Answer: Forget about nextdoor and leads. Get a life, a real one. Don't waste your time with toxic online communities that tend to get the worst out of people. My advise is run away while you still have some dignity left.
Answer: Kay is right. That is their policy. However, don't expect them to hold to it. We have leads unfairly removing only some people's comments and Nextdoor does nothing about it. Best bet, dump nextdoor.
Answer: Neighborhood. Rocks is in development. Another 6 months.
Answer: Truth is like oil and water. As long as the scam artist have enough venture capital (other people's money) they will continue to shake the bottle leaving it a murky view obscuring the truth. Run out of cash, they'll be exposed for the incompetent boobs they are and the top dogs will clear out their bank accounts and move on to the next scam. One look at their "leading edge tech" pulled right out of the 1980's is proof enough they will die in the tar pits just like the fellow dinosaurs. Want a state of the art app? Check out https://wiggio.com or www.neighborhoodlink.com
Answer: Dallas, SiteJabber rates it at 16%. It would surely rate lower if there weren't so many fake positive reviews. Folks review Nextdoor either 1 or 5. The fives read like ads about Nextdoor's features and potential. The ones are written by real people and give accounts of how awful their experiences were.
Answer: Several other reviewers on this site have had the same thing happen to them. We have been fully banned from nextdoor (beyond just "suspension"), but they keep our profiles, and sometimes our names still appear in the neighbor registry. They refuse to remove us fully, I suppose, in an attempt to misrepresent our endorsement and participation there. It's clearly unethical, but their TOS states that they can do this, as any nd apologist will point out.
Answer: Here's a tidy answer from corporate... Hi Colleen, Thanks for getting back to me. Our Community Guidelines prohibit posting about Lead activity on the main newsfeed. If your Leads are inactivate and youre concerned about moderation in your neighborhood, you should reach out directly to Nextdoor Support. If you have any specific concerns I can help you with at this time, please let me know. Best, Amanda Nextdoor However, the minute you alert corporate to issues with leads in your community you'll find your account terminated. They are very protective of the information surrounding who really is controlling the activities on the boards. Most people in my community are under the misguided impression that corporate is in control. They don't even consider it is their neighbor who sits in judgement.
Answer: Nextdoor wants your full legal name, house number and address and your email address that they link all together. As an added bonus... They have a little map that you can click on. That way if, OMG, you offend someone the little map leads them straight to your house. Run, do not walk, away from this site. No good comes from Nextdoor.
Answer: Your name and address will be known to everyone who uses the NextDoor application and website. I don't suggest using it. I recently discovered that low income apartments in ghetto areas might be able to use the application to do crime. Car theft, asaaults, kidnapping and just about everything else under the sun.
