ND is a place for hate and censorship. I'm closing my account down. They would do well In China!
This is just another mafia ruled platform. Your opinion is prohibited even if expressed politely and to the point. Don't bother with it. It is useless.
I post a headline about something happing all over for parents to be aware of and they removed it, said it was because it was not out neighborhood. I though all parents need to now about dangers in the area.

Another place to waste your time watching neighbors be mean to each other over petty disputes. Topics and comments about politics are frequent and clog of your feed. Get a life and go actually talk to your neighbors.
Want to be cancelled? Just write the words "Wuhan Virus" on a Nexdoor post. When you get the warning and a suggested alternative, write another post that contains the words "Wuhan Virus".
Soon you will be disappeared from Nextdoor for your disobedience.
Apaenty the moderation will remove anything even though it doesn't violate any of the guidelines. Someone needs to make a site where the moderators are less biased
Nextdoor allow neighbors to put photos on their site showing how they put notes all over my family members car calling him a pig because they didn't like the way he parked. I responded to their post calling them a messy itch. I got suspended for 30 days but yet it's okay to call someone a fkg pig.
I was a lead on Nextdoor for over 4 years, i did my best to follow the guidelines posted by the app when posting or reviewing posts, never voting to remove a post that did not violate the guidelines.
One of my posts were removed that did not violate any guidelines. The ensuing conversation on that post was 2 days running with 200 comments, and the determination based on the conversation was that a certain elected official that was due for re-election lied to the public.
When the post was removed, I questioned the removal asking what exact guideline was violated. And also accessed their, behind the black curtain, moderator community forum to report the violation, while in that forum i personally witnessed and responded to a post where a moderator was conspiring with other moderators to fabricate a guideline in an effort to remove a post that was contrary to the moderators personal religious beliefs.
Because I replied with "no one had the right to cut out the tongue, sew the mouth, or duct tape the mouth, of any user that didnt violate the guidelines", I was immediately removed as lead on the platform.
Update: My account has now been banned from the platform for reporting this.
Thank you for being a neighborhood outlet that reunited a lost puppy with her family. Because of this forum a neighbor was able to see the ad spot the dog and make a call. 100x over - this was a Wonderful blessed experience
There are literally hundreds of complaints about the next door app and how people have been harassed, kicked off for nothing etc. I could name quite a few of them. I have been targeted myself and I am absolutely angry to have to be subjected to other peoples
Malicious behavior. They put too much power with the leads on these apps and leads gang up with whoever they like and pretty much run the show and if they don't like you you're off! How did they pick these leads? I say we get together and file a class action suit for the harassment! We need to somehow figure this out I may just post on Facebook about how to get together for Nextdoor and a class action suit! So look for it! Thank you
In my opinion, the app is difficult and frustrating to use; it doesn't even make sense. The help section didn't help me at all. The only thing I use it for at this point is the entertainment value-thumbs down for any other purpose
I paid $93 to run my coupon for my carpet cleaning business for 31 days they took my money last Sunday today is Thursday! My coupon is up there is no way to get a hold of these people I would like my refund I'm so angry I'm a new business I can't afford that thanks a lot next-door you're a complete rip off
I was in need of some drywall work and I know from past experience that finding a handyman can be a big challenge, They either don't return calls, don't show up when they say they will or, want an arm and a leg to perform the work. I decided to contact Michael Alvarado of M. A. Handy Carpentry Tel. *******646 because he posted his card on the Nextdoor site. I was pleasantly surprised when he returned my call very promptly and we agreed to meet after I told him what I needed. He came to our house the next day and was ready to start. He was very competitive in his price quote and did a marvelous job. I would highly recommend him for any and all jobs in the future and I intend to call him again when I need some work done!
Never witnessed so much racism and bigotry in my life. Nextdoor, if you call these people out blocks your comment and calls in disrespectful.
Next Door has no intention of helping it's customers without a 24-36 hour waiting period. If you need help with computer programs, forget it. Next door is a program thats set up to run without a team and they present it as an asset, "We don't need a dvertising team" Tahts becasue they dont have any. After 2 days of trying to get in touch with them and with the same impersonal automated message which was answered of course after the 48 hour refund period, I couldnt get ny money back, couldnt use the site and they took my $155 because I didn't cancel my account myself which I couldnt figure out how to do. So if your a computer wiz, get Nextdoor, if not, pass it by...
NextDoor has gone from helpful to a liberal cesspool of nothing but arguing and bullying. It's not neighborly at all. I tried deleting my account once I got sick of it and was told that it was suspended in the past (I don't even remember it being suspended) and that they couldn't delete it to "protect their platform." Last I checked, I lived in the US. If you want to not allow ME to delete MY personal account, move your headquarters to China. I'll fight this until they do not have my data any longer.
Nextdoor was great when it started. You could easily scan an area for safety concerns in your neighborhood, but also check out any additional news, see "for sale" information. Or ads. NOW everything is lost in advertisments. I used to visit the site daily... now, I hesitate to look at it at all. Started out addressing all our concerns in separate areas... not so much now.
The app will silence your opinions and suspend your account if you don't go along with their beliefs. The app is completely bias and will not allow you to disagree.
These people close the door as soon as they got our card information they never got us off the ground. Should give a refund. Wish I had read reviews before they got our money!
Answer: The negative reviews are honest reactions to being duped into sharing too much personal information (that Nextdoor now owns and will NEVER delete and will continue to sell to advertisers until your dying day) to join a site that seems friendly on the surface, but which does NOTHING to protect users. I was bullied by a convicted murderer, who is a Lead in my neighborhood--and I was banned from the site for complaining. Leads are nothing more than early adopters of the site who have been assigned power over other users so that Nextdoor does not have to police it's own site. In short: No. The negative reviews are not wrong. Heed them! I wish I had known before it was too late!
Answer: Forget about nextdoor and leads. Get a life, a real one. Don't waste your time with toxic online communities that tend to get the worst out of people. My advise is run away while you still have some dignity left.
Answer: Kay is right. That is their policy. However, don't expect them to hold to it. We have leads unfairly removing only some people's comments and Nextdoor does nothing about it. Best bet, dump nextdoor.
Answer: Neighborhood. Rocks is in development. Another 6 months.
Answer: Truth is like oil and water. As long as the scam artist have enough venture capital (other people's money) they will continue to shake the bottle leaving it a murky view obscuring the truth. Run out of cash, they'll be exposed for the incompetent boobs they are and the top dogs will clear out their bank accounts and move on to the next scam. One look at their "leading edge tech" pulled right out of the 1980's is proof enough they will die in the tar pits just like the fellow dinosaurs. Want a state of the art app? Check out https://wiggio.com or www.neighborhoodlink.com
Answer: Dallas, SiteJabber rates it at 16%. It would surely rate lower if there weren't so many fake positive reviews. Folks review Nextdoor either 1 or 5. The fives read like ads about Nextdoor's features and potential. The ones are written by real people and give accounts of how awful their experiences were.
Answer: Several other reviewers on this site have had the same thing happen to them. We have been fully banned from nextdoor (beyond just "suspension"), but they keep our profiles, and sometimes our names still appear in the neighbor registry. They refuse to remove us fully, I suppose, in an attempt to misrepresent our endorsement and participation there. It's clearly unethical, but their TOS states that they can do this, as any nd apologist will point out.
Answer: Here's a tidy answer from corporate... Hi Colleen, Thanks for getting back to me. Our Community Guidelines prohibit posting about Lead activity on the main newsfeed. If your Leads are inactivate and youre concerned about moderation in your neighborhood, you should reach out directly to Nextdoor Support. If you have any specific concerns I can help you with at this time, please let me know. Best, Amanda Nextdoor However, the minute you alert corporate to issues with leads in your community you'll find your account terminated. They are very protective of the information surrounding who really is controlling the activities on the boards. Most people in my community are under the misguided impression that corporate is in control. They don't even consider it is their neighbor who sits in judgement.
Answer: Nextdoor wants your full legal name, house number and address and your email address that they link all together. As an added bonus... They have a little map that you can click on. That way if, OMG, you offend someone the little map leads them straight to your house. Run, do not walk, away from this site. No good comes from Nextdoor.
Answer: Your name and address will be known to everyone who uses the NextDoor application and website. I don't suggest using it. I recently discovered that low income apartments in ghetto areas might be able to use the application to do crime. Car theft, asaaults, kidnapping and just about everything else under the sun.
