Received suspension on next door for unknown reasons. The only thing I posted was teenagers frequent posts they oppose and troll other posters. Sometimes using uncivil, threatening statements with fooul language belittling other posters. I asked other members in order for us to not get frustrated and react to mute or block them. Later that morning my account was suspended. I also don't agree with moderators intersecting on sites posting thier bias and in one case claimed to know military law while impersonating a ex marine. His claim was they violated UCMJ 128 a felony of misconduct and would be court Marshalled and discharged when there is factual basis for this statement
In most cases I've always thought ND works fine and can be trusted for its purposes. Inquiries on recommendations, reporting neighborhood matters, etc. But recently they disabled my account for 3-4 days without a specific reason. I don't even know what I did. It would be nice if they would at least state what the reasons are besides violation of community guidelines. They did not even consult me about any post I made or give me a chance to correct it if necessary. I communicated with the admin of my neighborhood and ND never consulted him either. I wonder how they will respond if I reported this to the Michigan State Attorney General's office?
I was trying to do an ad on Nextdoor and there is no way to speak with a person and they make it very difficult to contact them, and then it is only by email. When the representative got back to me she confirmed that some of the videos and articles in their "Help" section are out of date. So, the only direct help they offer is via their help articles and videos and these no longer apply. Very frustrating.
Nextdoor puts our neighborhood in danger by censoring us and trying to control what we can talk about. Nextdoor seems to want crime to increase. Nextdoor seems to want our neighborhoods flooded with violent strangers. I've cared for my community all my life. Nextdoor is an invisible parasite feeding off and manipulating the lives of my community. Congress should investigate them.
Next door replaced my roof in one day. No complaints, they gave me a great price. Would definitely recommend!
Do not sign up they will let people attack you and when you reply you will be suspended. They do not like blacks, Christians, republicans, independents or prolifers.
This group is biased and left wing for sure. They kicked me off for scolding a bully. This is the 3rd time they kicked me off. I'm done with Nextdoor. I'd give them a 0 if I could. I didn't bully anyone. Some guy commented on a post that stated an auto mechanic chain tried to screw them out of $5k for a timing chain that wasn't even the problem. The neighbor bullied the person who posted what happened. I said it sounded like he was an employee and I said the chains are crooks. Nextdoor suspended my account for 14 days. They can let the door hit them where the good Lord split them.
Avoid Next Door Landing. They are scams. Dishonest, lack of Integrity and Transparency. Stealing daylight
I was so frustrated with the app that i decided to delete it. Problem is they make things extremely difficult. I get more then 15 junk emails a day from them and i have now "unsubscribed" around 40 times from emails and to this day i believe i am
Recieving even more then before. Beyond frustrating. Not only will i never use this app again but i will not be recommending it to anyone. Thanks for listening!
Does not censor mean hateful ppl...just a bunch of complainers...honestly, I dont want to know neighbors near me are that hateful!
Isaac from King Door Company came out and did a great job. He was professional, personable, and skilled. Will definitely recommend King Door to anyone that asks
Nextdoor used to be quite interesting and kind. Think it's been sold to an organisation who aren't living in the real world. Looks like random people have been given the title 'review team'. Before this arrangement, Leads were chosen because of their professional qualifications, being an upstanding member of their community and for having certain skill sets. Now, people are appearing calling themselves review teams and nobody knows who they are.
Lots of features have been removed and I've noticed in my neighbourhood that all the original Leads have been vanishing only to be replaced with unknown 'review team' individuals. Very shady indeed. My parents who are in their 70's were using this platform but they've now deleted it. They had friends and business acquaintances on there but they've all deleted it too.
Sad really, because it resembles a playground full of unruly children have taken over this once refreshing neighbourhood platform.
Thumbs down for me, I do not want to be associated with this platform it's quite an embarrassment to be a member now
I knew this was a leftie site, but didn't realize how bad it was! I joined to try and get some recommendations on local businesses, but, just couldn't not get involved in the liberal garbage. Immediately got reported for disagreeing about manmade climate change and praising God's creation. I questioned the mods and was told, "Of course we can remove comments that we don't agree with." The mods are local to the areas, and, apparently are the people we all know who have never achieved anything in life so being a Nextdoor mod is the pinnacle of their existence.
If I want jokes and to look at your goofy pet pictures, I rely on TikTok or Facebook. Nextdoor is not being used for it's purpose, and it's getting worse!
I mainly see titles of posts in my desktop email client (Thunderbird). I rarely look at the Nextdoor app on my phone. So if I see a post title in the desktop notification that I want to read, I click on the notification, but it will tell me to enter a 6-digit code that it just emailed to me, if I want to read the post. So 99% of the time, I just delete the email notification and forget about Nextdoor. I have a thousand other things I'd rather do than try to memorize another code long enough to enter it in the Nextdoor app so that I can read about an unfamiliar dog spotted in the neighborhood, or whatever. Why can't the Nextdoor web app just open in the browser? It already uses a password. Why the code thing too? I'm single, no one has access to my computer except me... why not just let me see the Nextdoor posts? That's why I am subscribed to Nextdoor but I barely look at it.
(The little I have used Nextdoor, it's pretty good. But my smallish town is friendlier than most, so Nextdoor posts are almost always friendly and civil... unlike some not-so-friendly towns I read about in the reviews)
These people just want to control the conversations in the neighborhoods by way of censorship! I tried posting neighborhood concerns and they just keep hiding my posts and classify it with names that don't even fit the point of the article. They are worse, much worse than Facebook censorship!
Nextdoor platform in Texas is strictly a race base, non thinking, non progressive brunch that says anyone that thinks outside the box should be band. This platform is supposed be what neighbors talk about, that is as long as it's what they want to hear. You can not have an intelligent conversation with this bunch, because they troll you gang up on you with their minions and then send a complaint in on you. I think I'm through this racist bunch. Sad no 1st amendment here, strictly 2nd amendment or you're out.
Went through a domestic violence case meaning I can't disclose my address so when I was telling people I'm just getting back on my feet & that I needed help for me and daughter with household items I got harassed saying I was a scam simply cause I didn't want to disclose my address for them to bring the items. I simply was willing to meet them. I understand scams do happen but to be harassed on this public platform is unacceptable. So I took my account down and will not be returning.
It is a website which bans users if they have conservative comments. It's basically a left wing site, promoting only "free" speech which is liberla, left-wing, Soros endorsed. Complete waste of time joining and reading comments there.
Next door sucks big time! People go there to talk garbage and complaint about why homeiwners associations like Estancia have rules and bylaws ECT...wow! How ignorant people can be, don't they know what a community is? But of course, people want to do whatever they want to do and not respect any laws rules or bylaws...typical Pembroke pines! Welcome to the city of ignorant and denial people not to mention Complexed...what a joke of a city
Answer: The negative reviews are honest reactions to being duped into sharing too much personal information (that Nextdoor now owns and will NEVER delete and will continue to sell to advertisers until your dying day) to join a site that seems friendly on the surface, but which does NOTHING to protect users. I was bullied by a convicted murderer, who is a Lead in my neighborhood--and I was banned from the site for complaining. Leads are nothing more than early adopters of the site who have been assigned power over other users so that Nextdoor does not have to police it's own site. In short: No. The negative reviews are not wrong. Heed them! I wish I had known before it was too late!
Answer: Forget about nextdoor and leads. Get a life, a real one. Don't waste your time with toxic online communities that tend to get the worst out of people. My advise is run away while you still have some dignity left.
Answer: Kay is right. That is their policy. However, don't expect them to hold to it. We have leads unfairly removing only some people's comments and Nextdoor does nothing about it. Best bet, dump nextdoor.
Answer: Neighborhood. Rocks is in development. Another 6 months.
Answer: Truth is like oil and water. As long as the scam artist have enough venture capital (other people's money) they will continue to shake the bottle leaving it a murky view obscuring the truth. Run out of cash, they'll be exposed for the incompetent boobs they are and the top dogs will clear out their bank accounts and move on to the next scam. One look at their "leading edge tech" pulled right out of the 1980's is proof enough they will die in the tar pits just like the fellow dinosaurs. Want a state of the art app? Answer: Dallas, SiteJabber rates it at 16%. It would surely rate lower if there weren't so many fake positive reviews. Folks review Nextdoor either 1 or 5. The fives read like ads about Nextdoor's features and potential. The ones are written by real people and give accounts of how awful their experiences were.
Answer: Several other reviewers on this site have had the same thing happen to them. We have been fully banned from nextdoor (beyond just "suspension"), but they keep our profiles, and sometimes our names still appear in the neighbor registry. They refuse to remove us fully, I suppose, in an attempt to misrepresent our endorsement and participation there. It's clearly unethical, but their TOS states that they can do this, as any nd apologist will point out.
Answer: Here's a tidy answer from corporate... Hi Colleen, Thanks for getting back to me. Our Community Guidelines prohibit posting about Lead activity on the main newsfeed. If your Leads are inactivate and youre concerned about moderation in your neighborhood, you should reach out directly to Nextdoor Support. If you have any specific concerns I can help you with at this time, please let me know. Best, Amanda Nextdoor However, the minute you alert corporate to issues with leads in your community you'll find your account terminated. They are very protective of the information surrounding who really is controlling the activities on the boards. Most people in my community are under the misguided impression that corporate is in control. They don't even consider it is their neighbor who sits in judgement.
Answer: Nextdoor wants your full legal name, house number and address and your email address that they link all together. As an added bonus... They have a little map that you can click on. That way if, OMG, you offend someone the little map leads them straight to your house. Run, do not walk, away from this site. No good comes from Nextdoor.
Answer: Your name and address will be known to everyone who uses the NextDoor application and website. I don't suggest using it. I recently discovered that low income apartments in ghetto areas might be able to use the application to do crime. Car theft, asaaults, kidnapping and just about everything else under the sun.
