Purchased 5 Perfecta Trifecta Butterfly Bushes on 10/30/2019 for the sum of $199.75 with free shipping.
Questioned wheather to ship order then or in the spring. They advised to plant them now as this would help develope a better root system for spring growth. Bad advice as all five plants did not survive a very mild winter in southern Virginia. Contacted them this spring to see about their replacement policy. Was advised their policy was to replace the plants at onehalf the original cost after seeing pictures of the dead plants. Spent about two hours trying to send pictures to their faulty web site and finally gave up and wrote them a letter. They informed me they were currently out of stock but would notify me when they received more. A few days latter I received notification they were back in stock so called to replace them at their half price offer & they gave me a new price of $92.38. I didn't know what the tax would be so asked for the total price before placing this new order. Hear is the big catch they want to charge a $50.00 shipping fee thus making the new cost $142.38 or 71% of the original cost. Even though their current shipping fee is $9.95 on all new orders & free shipping on orders over $139. Needless to say more! Would never order again from this company nor recommend them to anyone. Would rather write off my original cost than give them another dime. Asked to speak to a supervisor who was not available so left message to call me back. Guess what never heard from him. Only a fool would use this company.

I ordered a maple tree and it was suppose to be 5 to 6 feet. When it got here the top was broke and it was 3 feet. The leaves turned black and died. When I told him about it he said it was fine and the grass around tree was taking away the trees health. It was a $135 tree and he acted like no problem and it was fine. I bought 3 trees from him at over a $100 each and only one was real healthy and doing good. Be careful and do not buy the warranty cause its not worth anything.

I purchased four apple trees from Nature Hills, two honey crisp and two pink ladies. The pink ladies arrived last fall with splits in the bark around the base. I notified them at the time of arrival then as it was fall planted them and hoped for the best. This spring I have two dead sticks for the pink ladies and two healthy honey crisp so it is not a planting or care issue. Now Nature Hills wants $100 plus shipping for two replacements and they do not have stock. I purchased four pink ladies from Home Depot for $35 each. Nicer trees at lower cost. Unless you are in the market for poor quality at a high price and poor service when you want help I suggest you steer clear of this company.

I ordered my trees 10 days ago with a guarantee of shipment within 7-10 days. I called up there and even though it said I was the 1st call in queue, I was still on hold for over 15 minutes before someone answered. * couldn't tell me when it would be shipped because of "weather permitting" (It's 62 degrees there and 73 degrees where I live). So he said even though it's marked "ready to ship", it could still be an additional 2 weeks. Now after reading the reviews, I'm worried that my trees will come in damaged. I'll update my review once I get my delivery and the trees are in good shape. Customer service really should answer the phone quicker, especially if I was the 1st one in the queue and was on hold for all that time.

I placed an order in April 2019 for 2 pink blooming dogwood trees. Upon delivery, I called to verify planting instructions and followed them exactly. The trees did fine for about 2 weeks and then began to lose their leaves. I called back and was told they may just be in shock and that I should continue to water and they'll re-bloom. After doing so, they never bloomed. I called back in June and after sending pictures, I was told they didn't make it. I was told the trees were out of stock but replacements would be sent. I called back in April 2020 after hearing nothing to be told they are still out of the trees. I was told I cannot get a cash refund, only 50% toward a replacement. I chose 1 tree as a replacement but was then told I cannot have 50% of my full amount paid, only 50% of one original tree! To get the full 50% refund, I would have to order 2 trees which means spending more! I asked to speak to a supervisor but was told that's not possible and the president of the company WOULD NOT budge. This is my first and last experience with this company. I would have accepted the 50% refund amount toward a new purchase, even though I don't agree with the policy. But only allowing a customer 50% refund for each item is ridiculous. This just cost this company at least one customer. A company should be open to compromising and accommodating a customer and never be told they absolutely won't budge. What a horrible way to conduct business.

I was a little Leary ordering a tree online as I have ordered flowers online before and was very disappointed with the quality of the arrangement when it arrived. I was so pleasantly surprised when I received my kumquat tree from Nature Hill! It was beautiful! So green and healthy looking! It arrived when they said it would and provided me with helpful instructions on how to take care of it. I DEFINATELY WOULD ORDER FROM NATURE HILLS AGAIN!

I recently bought a white flowering dogwood tree online from Nature Hills. Really had a great experience. I choose the #5 container and received it in about a week. It arrived in great shape, well packaged in a box with all the instructions needed. The size was 4-5 feet as expected, very nice shape and with buds, as late winter/early spring, around Easter, is the flowering season. I could not be more happy. Although the genes will determine how a tree does in life, this is a great start. The leaves are coming out already and the flowers will follow. For sure, I certainly recommend Nature Hills.
