Horrible Horrible Company to deal with

Bought a tree almost 200 dolllar worth, dead on arrival, notified customer service * super super rude and nothing but a liar to deal with. Save you the entire story but no new tree and no refund. Don't buy anything from this company people because if there is a problem you are not getting it fixed and you are definitely not getting your money back. Buy local! I attached an email image from the company so you can see where I contacted them regarding the issue. They told me that that wasn't proof that I had reached out to them more than I don't know what is proof

Texas Ash

I purchased a Texas Ash and planted it right at the beginning of November. The first thing I noticed is that the tree was too big for the pot that it was sent in. The roots were incredibly knotted together -- I tried to pull them apart for planting as best I could. We'll see how the tree fares. I've been giving root stimulator once per month and watering regularly. As of mid-February, the tree is still alive. Tried to bud out once in the warm Texas winter, but then got clipped by the hard freezes, but it's still alive. Looking forward to see it bud (again) in the spring!

Perfect gifts

My daughter has gifted myself and her grandmother several fruit trees from Nature Hills. The key lime is amazing at the growth and productivity in only two years. Their avocado tree far exceeded my home grown from seed. Outgrew and out produced. Her latest gift was the Eldorado peach. Can't wait to see it grow. Trees arrive well packaged and healthy. Highly recommend!

Top Nursery!

I was skeptical to order on line. My wife is against me going out to purchase items due to Covid, so I found Nature Hills Nursery online. I could not be more satisfied. I am familiar with Turkey Figs but not Celeste Figs. Received Celeste Fig Tree on time and in perfect shape. My plant actually was bearing fruit. I was told to anticipate medium size figs but these few figs were larger than my former Turkey Figs and are actually a bit sweeter. I can hardly wait for my plant to set, grow and produce abundant figs. I highly recommend Nature Hills Nursery. You will not be disappointed. Dr. John Swint, Macon, GA.

So Far So Good

First time ordering a landscape plants online. Arrived in good condition and I planted them in the spring. Kept them well watered throughout the summer and they seemed to do fairly well. I will see how they come back in the coming spring to have a better idea of success.

Placed an order 8/5 w confirmation. Obscure notation that the product would ship in Fall. When I cancelled the order, they wanted to up sell me for shipping (+80% premium), give me a digital credit or charge for cancellation (15% of purchase price). This company will take your money and give very poor service.

I had the worst online experience with this company. I purchased a Hosui pear tree online in Spring 2020. Months later, the company informed me they will not be shipping me my tree because the tree is too fragile and would not survive shipping. They said it could ship out late October/early November. I responded it would not survive the winter I prefer Spring plantings. They responded they would care for the tree in their nursery and ship it out Spring 2021. Spring 2021 arrived. No tree. I called and asked where my tree was. To my chagrin, the company responded the Hosui pear trees were out of stock. I could not believe I paid this company over $150.00 tree, waited an entire year, and received NOTHING! At that point I communicated I wanted a FULL REFUND for a tree I never received. They replied there would be a re-stocking fee. I replied for a tree that was never in stock and available and never shipped? Nature Hills Nursery held my $159+ hostage for a year without interest. They charged me over 50% restocking fee and shipping fee for the "Phantom" tree I NEVER received. Credited me back only $60. Hopefully my credit card company will be able to resolve this matter with this very unscrupulous company.

I ordered two plants, close to 50.00 per plant and paid 15 dollars for shipping. I expected beautiful plants, which was not the case. The plants arrive in the box, when opened it was not securely packed that the plants empty out into the box and out of container. It was a mess, that dirt went over my floor and everywhere try to empty box. The plants of course were dead and the flower from one plants emptied in the box. The plants because of the weight of one plant greater than the other should have been packed separating of really securely packed, which it was not. So here is the hard part, The plants arrived on Saturday, so when I called customer service -it was closed. I went on line an filled out form for damaged delivery of product. I also sent an e-mails with pictures of box, dirt from plants and dead plants, and condition it was delivered. I waited till Tuesday - no answer from customer service. I called customer service on Tuesday and they are not available, only on line. I then called the order person to contact customer service on my be half since I can not call. He agreed to contact. The next day I called again the order number and finally received a e-mail back from customer service asking for more pictures and more details about was the plant wrapped in cardboard or ties and etc. I exp[lained the plants were not securely packed they emptyed all over the box and I sent you the pictures. It is now 5 days later and you are asking more question. I believe that do not want to refund or replace. This is a compan\y that if there is an issue with the product -Good Luck I hope this gets resolved but heads up for ordering. Extremely disappointed Gardener.

Buyer Beware - Horrible ServiceThanksTha

I would not recommend this company. I've been on their mailing list for sometime but never ordered from them. I placed my first order on May 19,2021. I've regretted the decision to order from them. I ordered a Snowbank Variegated Angel Trumpet. I've received nothing but excuse after excuse for why they've not delivered the plant I ordered. Most recently they misguidedly cited their Weather Policy, for weather in my area. Their weather policy implies weather delays due to weather in the area of the growers where they order their plants. Ironically I received another order from an online nursery this past Friday, July 9th. I will be contacting the BBB to file a complaint. I will also If I don't receive a resolution I'll be contacting the Attorneys General in Nebraska to file a complaint with them. My last response asked for my plant to be shipped this week or provide a refund. If I don't receive either I will contact my Credit Card company and file a fraud complaint. Buyer beware if you choose this company. My order number is *******423 ~ Frank Farley

Reputable Company - NOT

I spent all winter planning what I wanted to plant in the spring. My yard was a clean slate with 0 plantings except for one tree in the front yard. I wanted specific varieties of plants that I couldn't find locally so I went on line and thought I was ordering from a reputable nursery - Nature Hills. I spent hundreds of dollars on plants, shrubs and a tree. A few came with no problem then the problems began. I ordered 7 Hydrangea. They emailed the tracking number with a delivery date. I waited all day but when nothing arrived by 8PM I checked the tracking again and it said they were delivered at 4:30. I called FedEx to report that I did not receive them. They said they did deliver them and would send me proof but they would investigate. Their proof was a sheet of paper that said we delivered package at 4:30. No pictures or anything that was proof other than they said so. I sent an email to Nature Hills explaining what happened and actually expected them to be concerned. No reply. In all I sent 3 emails to NH and never received a reply. I called FedEx a couple days later and they said they would only talk to the sender. About a week later the package showed up on my doorstep. Did FedEx find it and re-deliver it? Did NH re-send it? Who knows. The plants that arrived were a huge disappointment. They were in quart containers and one was in very poor shape but I planted it anyway. It is now dead. The plants cost almost as much as the full size Proven Winner Hydrangea that I saw locally. Next was the Rose of Sharon. I ordered two - Blue Chiffon and Pink Chiffon. I didn't realize until I received the shipping notice that they were sending lavender instead of pink. I emailed them immediately of the mistake but they said it was too late to change it. There was no offer to make it right and no apologies! Then there's the Magnolia Tree - all 18" of it for $75. There were brown spots on the leaves when it arrived and some had already fallen off. I sent pictures and I was told it should be OK it just needed the sun and it should be planted. It had been on my deck for a few days but it just didn't look good. Since the temperature had been in the mid to high 90's I moved it inside by a window. I planted it that day but when I was fastened the straps to keep it straight the trunk broke in half. I contacted them again and sent pictures. They hassled me with requests for more pictures three times saying they couldn't see any damage! I had noticed a scrape and a brown spot when it arrived but I thought it was just a bruise from being scraped. Turns out it was dry and rotted all the way through which was plain to see in the photos. I assume they knew how to enlarge the photos so you can see details. Their reply was that the tree "appears to be viable" and if it wasn't next spring they would give me a 50% credit toward another tree. The same trunk broke again and it is now in the recycle bin. Their customer service is nonexistent. I spent a very long time searching their website trying to find out how to file a claim. It said you must contact customer service by phone but it didn't give a phone number. I finally found a number but when I called it I got voicemail saying they were too busy to answer the phone and I should send an email. You would think as much as they charge for tiny little plants that they could afford to hire someone to answer their phone during their busy season. Deplorable customer service is bad enough but their failure to stand behind their product and complete lack of integrity is inexcusable. I will NEVER order from Nature Hills again.

I received two plants on June 1 and put them into the ground. I contacted them on June 30 to get have new plants sent and was told that. I could only get a 50% credit toward. New plants and pay my own shipping… they then had the audacity to say it took me 2 months to report the plants as dead… do the math.

Tiny trees

My experience is different than most. The quality was good for all trees. The problem is the height.
I bought the largest pot size of multiple varieties and most came absurdly short, but in the correct pot size... The height did not align with the stated heights on the site and in their video. For example they sent me an 18" magnolia for over $100. Borderline scam site. They must just put young trees in big pots to sell them by the pot size.
I give 2 stars because two of the trees were a good height, and as I said the quality was good.
