Nascar.com sucks
June 3, 2013

Nascar.com sucks. Over laden with useless graphics. Scroll down forever and still can't find what i want. Schedules split up. Drop downs everywhere that are a pain. Did I mention overladen with useless big graphics?! I used to read articles, visit the store, check out my favorite drivers, use raceview... now I follow only on TV or MRN and come to visit nascar.com very once in a while for a quick peak at overall points... then run away from the site as fast as I can. What happy little 13 year old developed this dumba@@ site?

This has been a nightmare all year. I have been patiently waiting for the Nascar management to do something about this years version of the Official Nascar.com but we are going into the summer now with nothing changing. I have been a paying member of Raceview since it started and understand how hard it is to keep up with the problems of new technology but my gosh this site has become totally useless! I will not be renewing my subscription and Nascar you have lost me, if you even care.

I hate to be negative, but I don't know how to comment on this website otherwise. Here are some things I really dislike about it:

It takes up my whole screen with a large picture that I don't care about. Scrolling down, just gives more super large pictures, that again I don't care about. With all the big pictures, it takes a long time to load.

While I can find all these pictures and videos that I don't much care about, it is very hard to find actual *information*. For example, I'd like to see practice speeds... can't find it. Maybe they are here somewhere, but I don't see it.

I like to see the qualifying order... Again... I don't see it. I get tons of picture scrolling across the top, which is very annoying, but nothing about qualifying. I used to be able to find loop data and statistics. Maybe they're still somewhere in this mess, but I can't find them. Every time I move my mouse around, other drop down's and pictures pop up, so I can hardly navigate even if there were something of interest.

I did actually find the standings -- although it's in some giant format filling many screens. To see more than the top 25 takes clicking on another button to show another 3 screens of the rest of the data. I can see only about the 10 drivers on a screen, but scrolling down loses the headings, so I just see numbers and have to keep going up and down to see what each column is.

I don't know how else to say it, but I just hate it. I'd rather have a text-only site than this mess of something that is more concerned with showing a lot of big pictures than providing real information.

The old nascar.com site was OK, not great, but I could live it. This new one, I can't stand. So I've stopped using it. In years past, I'd go to it a couple of times a day. But now I seldom do. It's been weeks until I decided to try again today. But still yuck. Now I go to Jayski or even FOX sports.

Sorry to be so negative, but I tried to find something positive to say too, but couldn't think of anything.

I have been a PAYING member of nascar.com Raceview for last 3 yrs. This year I cannot even log in without being told an "Error". I have consulted their supposed Tech experts at least 20 times and they still cannot fix it. I have moved to FOX Sports NASCAR site to access up to date standings for the practices, races etc. This new NASCAR.COM - SUCKS! A PIECE OF *$&#! And you know what - THEY DON"T CARE! J. Kasper

Whomever the new webmaster is he's getting paid too much mula... This website is B A D. It doesn't give any real information, it's current information is is the past (ie: Daytona is over, get over it: California is over, why do I care what drivers are from California; the three "flash pages on the front page are worthless, how about times, dates, network coverage, practice times, qualifying times, previous racetrack winners etc without the pages flashing across ther screen, give me time to study the information.

I have found out that I can get most of the information I need thru Speed.com, but I'm worried that when Fox takes over there won't be any information available.
The Fox takeover is questionable... I would have rather see them take all the races for a season to see what they would do. TNN is poor at best, and with ESPN all other sports takes precidence over NASCAR, they switch it to ESPN 3, 4, 5 untill the game that's on is finished, including commentary. I don't know about you but those channels arn't even offered in my hometown.

OK I've ranted enough, the new NASCAR.com is B A D. NASCAR needs to understand that whomever designed the new website left the regular fans in the dust searching somewhere else for their info

Probably the worst designed website in history.

If you want actual, relevant information about NASCAR, ANY site is better than this, unless you want to spend 30+ minutes pulling your hair out and throwing things at your computer.

I would say that the redesigned website is one of the worst sites I have ever seen. I guess I will have to visit other sites to find the results of Nascar races. Go back to the old site and forget about this new one. It really stinks up the place!

I am a huge long time NASCAR FAN! Their recent redesign of their website is a complete botch, breakdown, bungle, bust, deficiency, deterioration, downfall, failing, false step, faux pas, fiasco, flop, frustration, implosion, inadequacy, lead balloon, lemon, loser, loss, mess, misadventure, miscarriage, misstep, nonperformance, nonsuccess, rout, rupture, sinking ship, total loss, turkey, washout, wreck, lame attempt, dead duck. Impossible to wade through. Chevy Chase could lay a rant down better but I think I am pretty close to the target!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I used to check out NASCAR.com daily. Was easy to navigate, find anything you want. Point standings, news, archive news, drivers, etc. Now, it takes forever to load, not much about past races, hard to find anything, and when I try to log in, I would have to go to the FANTASY page to do so! If there is a chat session, I can't find it. Always says they are having trouble with the comment section... I guess they don't want to hear how CRAPPY their new site is! I can't even find the Point Standings! I did not mind the ads before. When TNT was running this site, they knew what they were doing!
Whose BRILLIANT idea was this, anyway? You can't even give feedback on this site to tell them how bad it is!

I was very disapointed with the site until I tried something that worked for me, I use Internet Explorer, open the web site, open the tools tab, upper right and uncheck compatibility view, the page is back to normal.

I used to love going to this site to chat with other NASCAR fans. After the revamp the site is so bad that I have quit trying to use it. It doesn't look like I am alone in that statement. Used to be you would have thousands of comments on each article. I have not seen an article yet on the new site that even has triple digit comments. I have also sent an e-mail to the Contact Us section of the web page and have yet to hear anything back. Just AWFUL!

Nascar decided to revamp their website. Well, let's just say this was a huge mistake. Not only is it difficult to navigate, the images won't always load, there are broken links, the comments are disabled, etc., etc. What they've done is taken a relatively well designed site and turned it into a comicbook format. Maybe they'll work out the bugs, but their current website, like their current product, is lacking. I'll award them one star out of five... and that's being kind.

Totally changed as of 1-4-2013.

Firefox on my desktop shows a new site look that might look good on a handheld device but now takes to much effort to look at.

Feed-back dos not work ether on
Googles links to NASCARs feedback show error 404.

Nascars new web site stinks, now they want to charge you for everything, I will not be buying anymore tickets for anyone in my family, which I do for
Birthdays, when I did I also purchased tickets for atleast 4 other family
Members to attend with that person. It is no wonder ticket sales are down,
This is nothing but greed on Nascar's part!
