In January, I granted access to an account manager to run my website. I notified Namecheap that the account manager had inadvertently purchased a new domain. When I asked them to correct the problem, they spent over a month telling me it was impossible. After nearly 2 months of emails and texts because they refuse to talk to anyone. They cut and paste a copy of their terms and conditions, basically saying.
F-you, it is your problem.
All I was asking was to ensure that 3rd party managers could not make purchases. A simple solution could be adding a password feature at checkout.
But instead, Namecheap's model is to blame the customer, and if they don't go away, just throw the terms and conditions at them. And their no phone call, under any conditions policy, takes what can be done in a single call and drags it out over weeks to months.
Customer service does not understand English. And I had to keep repeating and repeating the text. Need to hire someone in the US to respond to questions.
It was very simple and easy to get the domain and get it registered.
