I've successfully moved my site to Namecheap without any obstacles.
I recently had the opportunity to use Namecheap for domain registration, and I must say, I'm quite impressed with their service. The process of searching for and selecting a domain was straightforward and intuitive on their website.
Was good mostly but was a bit unhappy with the support. Was a bit slow in getting a response. As a novice I was a bit unsure of the type of questions to ask to get my issue solved.
AVOID NAMESCHEAP
USE DREAM HOST or site ground or any another provider which are Much better than "Names Cheap".
They blocked my account, because a worker had tantrum and made false claims to just have my website blocked. Without asking me any question, Namescheap just suspended my account, and these crooks still carried on charging my credit card while i was in hospital recovering from covid for nearly 9 months of treatment.
Instead of refunding what they "Automictically stole" from me, buy saying the enable button was on, that's their system which they sets it on automictic to take payment, yes, I should of turned off, but while I'm in hospital i can't do anything. They tried to avoid a small refund of $150.
When you have to renew your domain, your better of transferring your domain to another provider. It will be better and less stressful going forward instead of dealing with these crooks.
Everyone, please avoid at all cost these useless company and better go with like "Dream Host or Site Ground" way better and customer support much more helpful than the thieves at Namecheap!.
I have over 20 websites and i would never wish this bad experience on any new start up. Take my free advice, you will be thankful in near future.
Staff are useless, they don't even bother to try and find any solutions. Over what $150, lol. I hope this message reaches many people and eventually they will lose few thousands or couple of hundred thousand, over the next few years.
Trust me, avoid this useless organization.

Maybe this company is well-named. I purchased a domain and discovered after the fact they locked it, so I could not register it to my server for 60 days! If I had known I was "registering" the domain with Wild West, whatever, and that it would be LOCKED so I could not transfer it for sixty days, I would have shopped ELSEWHERE.
It's all in the title...Easy, Quick And Cheap...Follow up was great as well.

I have purchased a domain name, but have no instructions on transferring that name or using that name on a website builder I wish to use. Namecheap's instructions are based on assumptions that a person new to this would know the next step. A false assumption. I could revise my estimation of Nameheap to 5 stars if I could move forward.

Some of the information was slow to load and receive confirmation. I paid for the service, set p three emails and am having difficulty in accessing the email accounnts
