This program starts out promising and I know that every one's experience may be different. I will say that I was compliant within each and every required step but my counselor was slow to respond or would ask if I had completed the steps. I would foward the emails with completed requirements and didn't get any follow-up. So, I decided to withdrawn my application after a year.

I am in the process of obtaining a home through NACA and the process has been great! Everyone is very helpful and prepare you to successfully navigate the program. As long as you are prepared and have your paperwork in order you'll be able to go at rapid speed. I highly recommend this program for first time homebuyers especially if you would like to save money.

My husband and I were apprehensive about becoming members of NACA. Being new at the home buying process and with so many scams out there we were not sure what to expect out of them or what they wanted from us. However, we decided to at least attend their virtual workshop and hear what they had to say. It was very inspirational. NACA explained their organization and its history, they services they offer, how the home buying process works and what will be required of us in order to obtain their counseling assistanct. The facilitators of the workshop answered all the questions asked, some more than once and stayed on the line until every received tehir completion information for the next step. By the end of the workshop, we were sure that we wanted to become a part of NACA. Since we have been in the process of obtaining and submitting all required documents; their website has a step-by-step checklist of all you need to do, which made it easy to stay on point. Whenever we needed to call, we were met with representatives who provided great advice to keep moving forward. We are just at the step of obtaining a counselor and are looking forward to becoming first-time home buyers. If you need help buying a home or refinancing; you may want to try NACA.

NACA is a great program. Can take a while to get through but worth it in the end! The process seems daunting but the program helps remove barriers for some of us who would otherwise not be in the position to purchase. I highly recommend.

It has been a great experience so far. I started my NACA journey on July 29,2023 when I attended the Home Buyers Workshop. Since then I have been gathering my documents so that I can upload them in my file. I have my appointment with my counselor Noell Berman October 9,2023. I'm really looking forward to this!

My experience with NACA has been akin to the expectations one might have when entering a public welfare building to seek assistance. After completing the four-hour workshop, I promptly began the process of uploading all the required documents. However, I encountered several challenges along the way. Initially, my scheduled appointments were postponed twice due to counselors failing to appear. Furthermore, the overall process proved to be exceedingly cumbersome, largely due to the program's structural intricacies. The individuals I liaised with during this process often appeared to have limited knowledge of their roles and how to efficiently navigate the required procedures. Despite my diligent efforts, it took three months to have my paperwork finally submitted to the underwriter. During this period, my credit was checked twice, despite my objections and the timely submission of documents well before the stipulated deadlines. The overarching impression is that the program's structure leaves much to be desired in terms of efficiency and clarity.

This process is truly not one for the weak staying up on all documents is a must just do it and it'll pay off. You'll get out of this what you put into it.

Like many can agree, the home buying process can be very stressful and daunting. For most going through this route, its obvious there are certain challenges we must overcome in order to be ready for the financial responsibility of home ownership. While I haven't reached the finish line just yet, I can appreciate the structure and organization that NACA strives for and the exercises they have clients go through. Through the NACA program, I've been able to take control of my expenses, and have been able to build an adequate amount of saving. Those are just a few wins I've achieved while working with my current counselor - Elizabeth. In the process of minimizing my spending I've also been successful in getting my credit score up pretty significantly as well. I'm so excited to complete the process, get qualified and find my first home, and by the looks of it, it seems like it'll happen soon. I recommend this program to anyone who wants to buy a home. It is a huge blessing!

The NACA program has been great so far! My husband and I are on the road to purchasing our first home and although it is a little scary planning on making a big purchase so soon NACA has really made us feel hopeful in getting our very first home. Our counselor, Christian, has been great so far and I can't wait for what's to come!

I am currently participating in the NACA program and am finding their information to be so helpful.
