So, I used some constructive criticism at a recent job fair as my rather boring resume did not reflect the true potential candidate I truly was. Live Career? Or Death to the unemployed? THIS WEBSITE IS A SCAM! THEY ARE A BLOODSUCKING SCAM trying to take advantage of the unemployed! I paid 1.95 to make a resume and then I just checked my bank account this morning and they had charged me $39.80! THERE GOES MY GROCERY MONEY FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS! I'm a poor college student, so I called their customer service and a "kind hearted lady" named Vanessa told me basically that I should have read through things better when I paid for the resume. I did realise I would have to pay after my $3 trial, however I emailed them on the day that I registered as I was so unhappy with the quality of product I downloaded. Every download was different and the formatting was bad so I ended up giving up on it and starting again without the website. I explained this to them. Funnily enough never heard back and did try to go back in to cancel my subscription. Perhaps I didn't get far enough through the 'Are you sure you want to cancel' numerous steps- because in two weeks I have been charged a year subscription- they won't acknowledge my initial email of dissatisfaction and have responded to my second email asking for a refund with- that's too bad- you acknowledged the payment process. Well acknowledge my email sent to you on day one where I ask for a full refund of my $3 rather than charging me an additional $37! To update. I eventually did get my membership refunded, but it took many phone calls and emails for that to happen. I think the techniques they use to sign you are up are a little sneaky, especially for busy people. It seems that any website that wants your credit card straight up for a 'free trial' will charge it very quickly for a membership a year in advance. The site seems legitimate, but my experience with it was poor.

Beware! I went on this site to get a "free" resume--I ended having to initially pay a little less then 3 dollars to print the resume--but did not realize that in doing so I was signing up for a service that would automatically charge me 35 dollars a month--I finally figured it out after spending 70 dollars--this is not worth it. I am sorry for any company that needs to "trick" me into getting my money.

I gave the company a credit card number, before I could start a 14-day free trial. This was on May 11,2015. On May 18 and May 19, I sent an email to their customer service stating that I wanted to cancel my free trial. Both times I received a response with a ticket number, stating that customer service would get back with me. On May 21,2015, I found that a $38 charge credit card charge was pending. I started a live chat session with a customer service representative from the company, who claimed they had not received my message until this morning and I would be charged for one month. I told her that I had the emails with proof that I had cancelled within the allotted time-frame. She then stated she could give me partial credit. I told her this was not acceptable, as I had cancelled within the allotted time. When she would not budge on the entire charge, I filed a dispute with my credit card company. I will get my money back one way or another, but I think it's pretty lousy that a company that is offering services to job seekers would pull a scam like this. Especially considering that I was just recently unemployed and don't have money to waste.

Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
