I did use it last February since I checked another site to make decent CV and this is what I click in. I only used it ONCE! And the subscription was 14-days. Never did I realize that after the 14 -day period they will charge me $35.80 US Dollars. Since March I was badly ill. And I did not get any job using the CV I made on this site. I didn't know that they are charging me after the one-time use. I was sick and don't have time to check my bills. Half Blind.
Until last night around 1:24am Capital One alert me that I was charged with $46.34 Canadian Dollars. I check and low and behold it is the myperfectresume. I send them numerous emails and messages. Almost got a heart attack because I did'nt know suck company will do this. Charging without being informed? No email to let you know that hey! We are charging you this amount. As per their message to me: The subscription that you have chosen was only good for 14 days. This allowed you to download, email and print the resume that you have created. After 14 days the account rolled into a monthly subscription that cost $35.80 USD. There was no heads up!
And the refund, heres what they said: Regarding your refund request, rest assured we are here to help. As a one-time courtesy, we have refunded the full amount of $35.80 USD. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing.
Please they said "As a one-time courtesy, we have refunded the full amount."
Then they said if you have any question
"If you have any questions or concerns, simply reply to this email or give us a call at *******348." No one is answering my call. How cool is that?
I am so mad that I seriously do not want to talk to anyone in customer service.
So I explained that I am sick, no job (that's why I used the resume help), Half blind and they charged me amounts on my credit card that is already maxed out because of this a charges that they secretly. Imagine charging you at 1:45 am?
I have to warn everyone please do not use this site.
I have every right to make this comment.
And I am just waiting for my daughter so we can look for a lawyer if a complete refund is not being done. You should not charge people without their full knowledge.

I fing My Perfect Resume to be difficult to finalize-spacing, especially. I called and got Yaritza, who was invaluable, as I was meeting a deadline. Without her help, I would have gone empty handed to an interview. Again, editing a final resume is terrible, without personal help.

I did an online resume and was charged 2.99 if I wanted to download it. I did and never received any receipt, but did get my resume. I have now discovered that they have been charging me 34.99 a month since then. They are intentionally unclear in the one time purchase with the intent of stealing monthly charges from people and seeing how long before it's noticed. The good reviews here have to be dummied in by employees.

Had trouble from the beginning setting up "my perfect resume" The time it took to build the resume, I could have succeeded a better result on my own. Not to mention if you fail to read the fine print of getting a charge of $34+ every month, it can become costly for one who is already stressed about finding a job. Pretty crooked to scam people when they are already down in funds, hence the reason they are needing a resume in the first place.

Though on the front page it tells you it is a "free resume builder," if you want to do anything with the resume, download, send, or print, you have to pay money. Nowhere in the process of building the resume does it tell you it will cost money to get any use out of the website at all. Not until the end, where it suddenly asks for credit card info.

I signed up for MyPerfectResume to get a free trial, but I didn't know that my account would be charged after the the certain number of days as I wasn't told anything about it. I called and spoke to Yaritza who helped me greatly. Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
