Interesting.I learned alot. As a result I am more alert & watchful of driving distractions. Wish I had taken it years ago. One thing is I am becoming more aware of my emotional mindset, This course should be mandatory before people are issued a license to drive.

The course was perfectly fine. But they never forwarded the results to Geico saying that I'd completed and passed. I had to call Geico (on hold 15 minutes before I even got an agent), and give them my course certificate number, and be put on hold while she looked it up, then more time to set up and apply and reflect the discount before paying my premium online. Total time about 45 minutes. So I took off one star for that.

Ok, as defensive driving courses go, this was really good. And given how recently giant Black Lives Matter demonstrations have finally broken through our society's denial about racism and policing, the segment on responding to being pulled over was pretty good, though it called attention to lack of Black people and also women elsewhere. Because driving remains a particularly contested privilege for Black people and for all women, it would be great if the makeup of comics did less to reinforce the normative driver as white and male. The cartoon depicting seatbelt wrapped over a woman's mouth should be sent back to the 1950s. I didnt expect much better and i am grateful for help actually learning stuff I needed to learn. Your comedians were all fine-but the right and competency of women and Black people to drive really are challenged all the time in our society and you can and should at least make sure to create a representative mixture of comic as well as serious perspectives of women and men, and Black and non-Black drivers.

This is the second time I have taken this course to get a discount on my auto insurance. All the lessons are not difficult to follow. I recommend reading them a couple of times before taking the final quiz
