I very much enjoy learning about my family, extended family and even those in my church family. So much history has been opened up to me. I better appreciate the culture and Heritage that has been handed down to me. MyHeritage has made it easy and fun to discover facts about those that I have only heard of from Grandparents. This is a wonderful and enjoyable way to preserve my family history. At our family reunions everyone enjoys the things I have found and I have referred several to join MyHeritage.
I started with little knowledge of my family and genealogy. I have made many interesting discoveries and connections. It takes time, but if you are interested, it is worth it.

Too manx emails day by day with record matches/ findings of relatives, far beside the main tree. I am meaning cousins and their spouses families. I would appreciate an option to define the depth of reported matches, for example to reduce the famiy tree to father/mother, grand father/mother, great grandparents and so on.
With the help of MyHeritage, I received very important and interesting information about my ancestors. Contact with a manager was very nice.
I have had many hints which have been valuable, good service when I have spoken to staff and the premium is good value for money.

No end to the amount of information available when tracing the family. Some parts are quite cumbersome for example duplicate profiles, there must be an easier way to delete these. I don't think that the program is designed around the Senior operators. Quite costly for those on a budget in these hard economic times and additional resources papers etc come at an additional cost
I askes (again) about a problem in my tree. After 2 months they told agaian and it could take awhile. They offered me 2 months free membership. That is very generous, but i would prefer they solved the bug
Staff wonderful, Price oo expensive for elderly folk trying to see some sites e.g.DNA results-these should still be available to those of us who originally had them. After buys a new year's subscription I am now told that I have pay more to see the messages etc I need to follow up on when possible. On a pension it is not possible to pay more again. I am quite disappointed to see that on the internet- asking for more money. Otherwise good site but lots of mistakes on the family tree (not by me) but I do not know how to fix these either.
Excellent application, it allowed me to build my family tree and thus obtain my Italian nationality.
As a senior citizen my options of entertainment and thrill are limited but MH has given me a chance to discover new worlds finding unknown near family and family connections with great historical figures. Every new day with MH gives me reason to love and enjoy my life as an 80+!

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
