I never used any paid services from these jerks. Now they have charged me $299 through PayPal. Not authorized. I'm am FURIOUS.
Had an issue which saw 4 tickets and was ongoing that had me near quitting the site until 1 party worker; Shayli, came and took over handling the issue. She showed efficiency throughout and resolved the problem that had her wondering why it wasn't resolved sooner.
An employee such as she is dependable and knowledgeable and can keep the site in very high standards as this is what is needed. Tickets need to be handled in a timely manner and Shayli did wonderfully and even explained what she had done.
I enjoy the site but there is a need for some improvements, like all businesses. I am really grateful to Shayli and hope My Heritage will continue to have employees as dependable, trustworthy, reliable and efficient.
Through a mistake of my own doing (wrong synchronisation configuration) and a bug in the back-up I lost the tags to the foto's on the site. Although it took a few weeks to figure out the mistake and how it could be fixed the support never let it drop and eventually came with a solution.
Had a hell of a time getting access to my account after being grossly overcharged for unavailable information. This site should be shut down in my opinion. Not sure if I'll be able to cancel my membership without canceling my debit card. Have yet to get a reply from customer service other than welcome to my heritage

I am so disappointed with the My heritage team. I purchased a DNA kit as a girl for my mum for her birthday. They failed to send the kit. After several weeks of waiting i contacted them and they finally sent one out. My mum did the test and sent it in and its now been 5 months and we have not seen any results. Customer service is not helpful and doesn't respond properly. The amount of spam emails coming through is out of control. And to top it all off the charged my credit card again randomly 3 months after the original purchase. DEFIANTLY DONT USE MY HERITAGE

I recently had a problem with a subscription to MyHeritage which was due to an oversight of my own but I contacted their support people in case it could be resolved, which I doubted.
I received a response which I didn't expect.
MyHeritage totally understood the problem and resolved it 100% without hesitation. I was so amazed and so pleased.
The response from the young lady in the MyHeritage Support team was outstanding. She is the sort of person who makes a business a pleasure to deal with providing them with a courteous, conscientious and professional image.

I've had a issue with a subscription and they solved it in a few minutes ( Shoutout to Yasmin from customer service)
Feedback on the work of the support service. I have a paid account and it follows that I enjoy priority support. I expected that it would take a maximum of 3 days to solve the problem, but alas, a whole week. I contacted the service on 12/27/2021, the problem was resolved on 1/4/2022. Of course, I understand that there were holidays, which is probably why it took so long to decide. But the main thing that made me nervous was the very reason for the request. On December 6, I changed my password and updated two-factor authentication, but on December 26, something happened on the site and my new password returned to the old and old two-factor authentication, which made me no longer able to use my account. It was not very funny. I hope there will be no more such unpleasant incidents in the future. Wish everyone a Happy New Year!

I forgot that my auto renewal was coming up for my complete plan because I missed the reminder email that they sent a month previous. Given that we receive a multitude of emails from the company it is really easy to miss. I had planned to cancel my subscription as my financial circumstances have changed for the worse. On the 26th of December I was charged $383.90 for the 12 month renewal and I contacted them immediately to let them know that I wanted a refund and to cancel the subscription. I have lost a lot of hours at work and I can't afford this luxury. They contacted me within 2 days but would not refund me the full amount due to the "terms and conditions". To their credit they did give me a partial refund and extended the subscription free of charge. However I am still unhappy as I feel they could very well have refunded the full amount. They should also consider sending more than one reminder email. Very disappointed.
I was ordering a DNA kit as a birthday present for my friend. I paid 20$ extra for fast shipping but He still didn't get it for almost 17 days! And nobody contact me! Worst experience ever! Do not recommend it!
It's crazy when you first discover your DNA profile. I was so excited to confirm ethnicity I was aware of and to then discover the new ones! Now I have new DNA cousins all over the world! My Heritage is easy to understand once you your head comes down from the clouds. I have found the staff are friendly and helpful should you need support. I have since ordered two more kits for Christmas presents.
This company continually raises fees and the initial advertised $59 fee is renewed at up to $299 without warning. THeir excuse is that they told you when you bought and they take no responsibility for notifying you of a pending renewal. THeir ethnic matching differs from three other services and is clearly wrong by not recognizing my mother and grandmother's proven ethnicity.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
