The site is a great source of information to make genealogical research and connect with long lost relatives. It offers both documental and genetic data.
With the help of Myheritage I have been able to find relatives that I didn't know to have. Because of its large DNA database, specifically European I have encounter a more clear path to my ancestors. They have powerful search engines that will help you research and discover new avenue's. In general very satisfied with my experience.

In the Discovery column can the numbers go from the least as well as the most as I prefer to go that way as it makes it look as if you have done more.
All smartmatches are behind paywall...I took premium and get nothing? I got more information from Geni via "record match".
Heritage is a great help with finding ppl and I have found it better than others I have tried.

Having paid extra to receive the item before my husbands birthday, I am rather disappointed that the item did not arrive within the specified time frame. In fact, I believe I deserve a refund for the swift delivery supplement I paid that turned out not to be be swift at all. I am still awaiting my delivery confirmed over 10 days ago.

I'm amazed at just how many family members I have found near and far, have gotten in contact with that I didn't even know, and family history! Thank you MyHeritage!
Did all I expected, efficiently and quickly. Even with small requests, emails were answered on the turn.
Discovering relatives and their stories. I discovered many relatives lived through the prohibition. Others were in Revolutionary and Confederate Wars and more served in WWI and WWII, some survived others died.
Am a returning customer. I tried a lot of other genealogy web sites, there good, but not as good as MyHeritage.
That why I returned.

Deciding to do my heritage was very exciting and made very easy using My Heritage site.
I signed on as a free site only. I carefully abd purposely did not sign up for any paid subscription but somehow I ended up being charged fir an annual subscription of $164 with no notice or emails until the charge had been taken from my account. Once I saw it I immediately tried to cancel and refund the amount charged but there is no phone number or person to contact directly. I sent an email requesting immediate cancellation and received one back saying I
Would be sent to billing for help but no way for me to contact billing. Since yesterday when I realized the mistake I have only received an email welcoming me to my annual subscription but nothing mentioning or addressing my concerns. This feels fraudulent and I am definitely not recommending this business. I give them no stars and am now pursuing the refund through my bank. Do not use this service!

Please note that once you enter into a free trial subscription, or purchase a full-year subscription (Site or Data), you are sent a "Thank you" email to your registered MyHeritage.com email address.
Within this email, there are listed the benefits of the subscription and instructions on how to cancel the automatic charge before the end of the free trial period. Also shown is the renewal price for the following year.
We do however understand that these emails may be routed to a junk or spam folder and therefore get overlooked.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).
Answer: If you are looking to get as many connections to your tree that you can, use My Heritage. If you want flexibility in who is added to your tree, use Ancestry.
Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
