When MyHeritage finds a record of someone who already appears in records, they notify me of the match so I can confirm that my record is correct and add any additional information from the matching record, as well as add more family members to my tree.
The breakdown of the areas my DNA is from I already knew most of. My I guess I expected more details of percentage of Indian and other of my heritage.
I'm not sure what prompted a review, but I've gained some history through this group.
There are two sides to this, finding out your ethnic origin, and also tracking the spread of your ancestors across the generations. I think all people should do at the very least a DNA analysis, and see what they're really made of. After that if they wish to do a tree, it is completely their freedom to do so. Personally, I started with a tree and then did the DNA. I've continued to progress my tree, although it has slowed down a lot now. I still hope for further findings in the future.
I used MyHeritage to build my genealogy database which now has over 41,300 entries.

My experience with MyHeritage is enjoyable, entertaining, and quite addictive. Finding out relatives from times past is informative and interesting. I not only have my relatives in the tree, but I have researched my wife's family as well.

I love doing the research and finding new connections. I also like using the photo colour, enhance, etc.

Had a phone call from a very nice man about updating My Heritage, I didn't know if I want to do it but talking to him he did me a great deal and then made the price even lower by putting me on a pensioner price for a year.
It's just waiting for family my age to come on board. It's mainly distance cousins who are looking for their family.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
