Stinks -DO NOT GET IT
January 29, 2017

Stinks - do not get it - first just like everyone e else says that their manger or supervisor of customer service was rude and obnoxious - I left another company because the salesman promised me that the system would work in my house(includes al, sensors) - well we have the new system less than a year and already a technician had to come to fix an issue with the sensor within the bathroom window. It seems that their devices are not waterproof - never had an issue with the old system. Each time they replaced the sensor added tape to it to block out the water. Added silicon as well to keep the moisture out. Now they are coming back a 4th time.

I've asked customer service to leave me extra sensor devices to have on hand when their device fails so I can eliminate the waste of my time and their technician. All I would have to do is call customer service for them to restabkish the new device - makes sense

Well - not to them...

Now we are waiting for the technician and supervisor to review this issue...

I've been a customer of AT&T for many years as well as a stock holder and I have to say that I am very disappointed with their digital customer service...

If you cannot provide the customer their service then you should slow them to drop the service without any penalty.

So if anyone is thinking of getting. This device and service - DO NOT

Constantly offline. For years we used ADT and rarely if ever had any issues. I honestly can't remember any technical problems with their system and I'm pretty sure the only time we dealt with them was if a pet-sitter mis-typed the code.

We moved two states down and decided to save a few bucks and try Digital Life and now we get weekly "system offline" voicemails and texts. I travel for work and it's frightening to wake up to a text in the middle of the night informing me that my home security system has been compromised.

It's a boy who cried wolf situation where I just assume it's yet another technical problem. It's debatable as to whether we'd be better off with no home security piece of mind-wise. I called both ADT and AT&T Digital to inform them I'm making a change back to ADT. I have to pay the penalty, but I guarantee it will be worth it.

So your thinking about AT&Ts DigitalLife? Well, DONT, JUST RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN ANY OTHER DIRECTION! We have had the system for 9months and in that time they have had to replace the touch tablet twice, constant camera failures, the system is just buggy. Spontaneous alarms chirping at 3am telling me 'crash detected' and nothing at all, cameras consistently not working due to either 'connectivity' or 'poor signal' and I'm running on high speed with an 2200ac router. The panel goes out and I have had to do a hard reset (unplug from wall, remover cover, remove battery, wait 5 mins and do everything in reverse) a dozen times or more! And now, they are telling me that I have to pay them to come get there crap out of my house. Also it is not compatible with any other system... this had potential, but they have failed miserably. I just wish there would have been honest reviews when I was looking.

HORRIBLE! We installed Digital Life due to problems with packages being stolen. The first time one is taken, I try to look at the video. The installer didn't turn it on - no video and it is MY FAULT. I paid for a service for two years and when I actually wanted to use it, I couldn't. The only thing they could say was you should review your account. They have no problem taking my money, but can't do anything else. I have stuck up for AT&T DIgital Life for two years, put off other companies try to get my business and this is what I get? I will purchase my own equipment and go with a

Absolutely Awful
January 14, 2017

Too expensive, does not work, lousy service.

Paid off a large balance just to get rid of the headache of monthly paper statements, which I might add, was always on time and with the correct not earned charges for their lousy service.

Wonderful service
January 3, 2017

I love AT&T Digital Life sometimes there are glitches in the system but once I call and explain things to them I get my issue resolved. Some of these comments are not true if you call a company why will you behave harsh with the reps deal with them calm and they will treat you nice. Hold time is length but we got to understand that customers do call in regular for various reasons. I love the fact that I don't have to pay to move my service and I get new device unlike ADT who charge over 300 dollars to move. And I would like if AT&T change there technicians they don't work for the company they work against the company they are so sloppy they make the Comany look bad. I love AT&T Retention and move, and the Technical support dept. Good job.

At & T digital life I should've went with Adt. So had system installed on 09/27/2016 I was told items in my package and declined to accept the key pad on my door so I was told by tech I could sub it for smoke sensor and additional items I clearly said to him that as long as it doesn't cost me any additional money it would be fine. He told me no additional money only for me to receive a bill for 215.00 past due my first bill and now they are telling me that I need to pay It Stay away these people its a scam

They can't monitor garage roll up doors. They don't have the capability or equipment to do so. They don't tell you that up front. We discovered it after the 14 day cancelation period and are not stuck paying a HUGE cancellation fee to move to a company to do what we thought we were paying AT&T to do. If you have AT&T, someone can break into your home via your attached garage and rob/harm you and no one will know. It certainly gave me no peace of mind at night when I put my head on my pillow. How can they live with themselves knowing this? How is it legal to conduct business this way? Don't even get me started about the false alarms that do happen for other doors/windows in the home, alarms that don't go off when the system is set to ON, the calls that don't come to check on us, and one time they did call and didn't even ask for the 'safe' word. DO NOT give these corrupt crooks your hard earned money. They only thing they will protect/monitor is their own pockets.

I have had three technicians come out here and they were late 2 out of 3 times and were here until at least 10:30 pm. The 4th time they assured me it was working and now I'm waiting on the technician again. They won't let me cancel without a $200 cancellation fee and promised a month of free service and NEVER gave it to me. I have U-Verse and love it but do not like the digital life service. Do not get it!

I am an AT&T retiree and I am ashamed of the horrible service AT&T Digital Life provides. As a loyal retiree, I have always used AT&T services. I signed for Digital Security. What a mistake! The technician they sent out cut my DSL line, cut my landline and almost destroyed my air conditioning unit. She didn't know how to install the video camera. They sent another rep out who knew a little more, but still didn't resolve all the issues. Then, they sent the girl back even though I had told them NOT to ever assign her to my account. Then, I had to contact AT&T DSL to send out a tech. They came out three times. Still my Internet service was intermittent. It finally reached a boiling point a couple of weeks ago when my Internet service stopped completely. After spending about 20 hours on the phone with AT&T Connect Tech, they finally sent a technician to my home who said that the problems ALL stemmed from AT&T Digital Life not being properly installed. He fixed the issue. I then called AT&T Digital Life to resolve my bill - which was supposed to be set up on automatic pay, but they didn't even get that right. I wanted to discontinue my service, but would've had to pay a $300 fee to early disconnection even though it was for their poor service. I agreed to try the service one more time. The moment they turned it back on, my Fast Access DSL went out. I'm livid. I've spent another 12 hours trying to get a damage claim filed to try to totally disconnect this AWLFUL service. This is the most screwed up company ever. It used to be a great company where departments worked together to help resolve customer problems. Now, each department is a smoke stack that doesn't communicate with each other to best serve the customer. Once again it has gotten too big. DO NOT purchase AT&T Digital Life if you want a personal customer service experience. It won't happen.

Inherited the service and it seemed to work ok but if you need customer service be prepared for over an hour wait (literally, over 60 minutes!) to get through to (ironically named) retention department. And they won't/can't help you via online chat, online site or in store. You're screwed.

From three get go I've had nothing but trouble. AT&THREE didn't coordinate my internet install to bee done the day of installation. A week later it was finally installed. Within a week my sensors weren't working in family room. About another week to yet new sensors. Couldn't greet them to work so called in to yet servicer tech to fix. A bit guy with long hair band an ego ad long ad is hair camw in like I was a bother to him fixed them. He left EVERY window unlocked when he left. About8 weeks later AT&T did an upgrade "to better serve their customers". My alarm hasn't worked since. I call to greet a technician they make me troubleshoot. Doesn't work. Twice when they put me on hold to schedule they disconnect me. I call back they make me troubleshoot again, put me on hold, disconnect me sms they cycle continues. I call to cancel they're going to charge a termination fee. I wish a law firm would start a class action suit against them. This is the sorriest excuse got a company I've ever seen.

The tablet supplied with the system doesn't work and when I call them they admit it! They say it's a software problem that they are working on but it's been a year. I can't believe I can't get out of this contract. Has anyone been able to successfully cancel and not owe them anything?

It's almost been a year since service was installed. I have had nothing but trouble from the start. 1st of all they say its cheaper then ADT. It is not... Issue #2 camara not working, calling customer service, transferred around numerous times, say it's fixed then goes out again, this happened for 5 mos., finally fixed. #3 They have the worst app, when you try to pay your bill on line it won't let you. I would NOT RECOMMEND! As soon as my year is up I will be returning to ADT

Disappointed
September 9, 2016

Filed a damage complaint in May never heard from anyone called a week ago about same I phoned Customer Care to find out I had to file my damage complaint a second time which took over 40 minutes and am told it will be a couple of weeks before hearing from anyone we will see
I have NEVER be so disappointed in a vendor I have been a loyal AT&T customer phone mobile internet for decades but the way in which this Digital Life is run has made me think AT&T all together
There is no transparency within the organization as many times over the year and a half I have been saddled with this security system I have literally through tears requested to speak to someone who really cared and could really help me but alas I am left frustrated and quite simply ignored I cannot wait for this contract to end
The service is horrible that over shadows whether or not the system actually works
