Match.com has not once but twice suspended my account without warning or explanation. The first time after appeal it was reinstated. They said they thought I was married and asked me to prove I'm not. The second time my membership appeared to be expired as I could login but not respond to any likes or emails. Since I have been a long term member in good standing it always renewed at the prior rate. I attempted to contact them to give a new credit card but there's no way to call and "customer service" does not respond. After no response I finally just purchased a new membership at $219 only to have my card charged and access denied. It's been 10 days of attempts to resolve only to be told my account has been permanently banned. No reason. No recourse. No one to appeal to or even be told why. What a scam! This used to be a great site but beware… you can be removed at any time. The sad part is the few men I was talking with received an email that they removed me for suspicious activity as I have received such email regarding others in the past.

I used Match.com years ago and thought it was decent. This time I tried the Bronze plan, made my profile public, even paid for boosts. I got a few likes and one message — but when I tried to open them, I found out I'd have to upgrade all the way to Platinum (an extra $50 a month) just to see who liked or messaged me. It feels like a classic bait-and-switch: they suckered me in to giving them a quality listing, attracting traffic & looking legit, then make me increase my payment by 500% to see all replies & the people who replied. And when I like or message others, I don't know if they can even see my likes or messages. Match has really turned into an exploitative, pay-to-see system.

I have been a customer on-and-off for around two years. I signed up again towards the end of 2025. At first everything was good. Then I would login and they would make you solve 10 impossible puzzles that are extremely difficult. If you can't solve all 10 puzzles in time, then you are locked out. Cust Svc clears it, and a few days later it comes up again. You spend more time with customer service then using the site. I can tell you as a software developer that the puzzle has nothing to do with security. It is a way to punish their customers. They have contempt for their customer. I suspect that this is because the FTC fined Match Group 14 million dollars. I am plan filing a complaint with the FTC in violation of their agreement with the FTC. If you have a real complaint, file a complaint with the FTC 2 years ago they would have 1,000 women to pick from. We have 1+ million people in the area where I live. Now, I am getting a little over 100 women. But, 80 of them are no longer members or don't login anymore. And, the 20 you can pick from, some have duplicates listings, so that leaves less then 20 women to pick from. Why would anyone spend more time trying to login then looking for a new women in your life. Customer Service is severely overloaded and often just gives you a response that does not fix the problem. After I signed up, my Email inbox became flooded with ads for their other horrible dating sites. When you unsubscribe, they just ignore you. You have to delete the Email to get it to stop. So, if you are crazy enough to sign-up, use a disposable Email. Once you cut them off expect them to retaliate with the unsolvable puzzle. The bottom line is that Match has contempt for it's customers, and they just want to take your money legally or illegally. Once they have your money the nightmare begins. You want to think a million times before considering any of the 25+ web sites that Match Groups owns. You want to think a million times before subjecting yourself to a horrible experienced where they are going to defraud you out of your money.

MATCH.COM TOTALLY SUCKS
November 27, 2022

Match.com is full of liars, and most of the women you email,( because they're fakes)won't even text you back, even if they are a subscriber, and you paid for the reply option. I blocked over 200 scammers, and no reply losers. The ones I did meet, didn't look anything like their photo. They looked like rejects from Fat Girl Farm.! You're better off going to a bar, or a strip club. These disfunctional idiots can't function in the real world, that's why they are on Match.com

Don't waste your time or money
November 14, 2022

I am thinking many of these reviews are paid. Match was a horrible service that literally took 2+ months worth of subscript to match me with scammers. It is full of bots and algorithms that did not match my preferences. Please don't waste your time or money. As a money- making business- I'm sure they will find a way to filter this review. Dating is hard enough without people cashing out in our heartbreak. Match is not the only one.

Match.com
November 7, 2022

In my experience Match.com should be called Match.con because that is what it is, I was tricked into subscribing a membership and now they say I can`t cancel my subscription, they are taking money out of my account without my permission, I did not sign any contract. The dating site is full of fake profiles, but when you report them they still are not deleted, in fact they keep visiting your own profile. Match.com is a complete waste of money and I would warn anybody not to join and be ripped off like me.

Paid for 3-mo premium membership, can't see pictures, can't see messages, called help line, spent 20 minutes being led through app after app page, wanted to send me a dummy amount, then have me send back to them to reset my account. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! NOT WORTH IT!

IMAGINE THE WORST DATE OF YOUR LIFE...
October 26, 2022

Navigating the Match.com website is worse. In fact, it's pretty close to impossible.
If you see someone you're interested in writing to, be careful... if you leave their profile page, it's next to impossible to get back to it.

Match sends out an almost daily email that says, "45 people have looked at your profile!' Hmmmmm. Is that supposed to be a good thing?... because while 45 people may have looked... zero have written. (Maybe Match should re-think that email. I would definitely stay away from this site.

After the first week I tried to quit, but I'd inadvertently signed up for three months. Getting out is a lot harder than getting in.

Don't do it!

I opened an account on match.com, paid good hard earned money to keep it open, now the girls on match.com like to dress like streetwalkers, almost to the point of being $#*! nude! So, I decided to flash my goods, I dnt mean my manhood, I'm talking about my cash, I literally set up my pic of me holding $7,000.00 fanned out smiling in my ride! & wtf does Match.com do, they call my Pic inappropriate & offensive, I'm like wtf kind of metoo, feminazi, manhating b. S. is this, these whores cn show their nipples, vagina, & freshly waxed buttholes on match.com, but I can't show I am a man of means?!?! Needless to say, Match.com forced me to shut down my account, so basically, their just another manhating ameri$#*! company, they want only women succeeding, but u can't be a successful man on match.com, no, they want u like a loser begging dog if ur a str8 American man! My advice, well, try anything for hookups tht u dnt have to pay for, cz as u can see, just cz u pay for a match.com website dsnt promise results, or the fact u'll be treated fairly, & not discriminated against cz ur one of the few last str8 American males on their!

Match is a complete ripoff. The app pays zero attention to your preferences. And I "upgraded" to Private Mode so only my likes would see me. It keeps me permanently in Private Mode, i. E. NO one sees my profile including my likes. Emailed support, took them 2 weeks to reply and they completely ignored this app defect. Messaged then a 2nd time and never heard back. Complete waste of money.

Not worth it!
September 30, 2022

Not only does it not live up to the hype, few if any matches. But I cancelled the subscription 2 weeks in, but they won't let me out for 3 months. They want me to pay whether I use it or not. I had tried this site about 3-4 years ago. It wasn't good then, but I figured I'd give it another shot. Boy was I wrong. Don't waste your money, because that's exactly what it s. Money down the toilet!

Can't Verify My Account
September 29, 2022

Match looked like it was well run, until I was required to verify my account with my phone number. My landline number wouldn't work. I was told by their support, that I must have a cell phone. They wouldn't even accept my email address, like other dating sites.

CatFish Site

Most of the men who contacted me acted like catfishers. It was easy for me to tell they were scammers because they told me I have a beautiful smile. I never smile in a photograph. At my age, scammers think they can con their way into our lives and steal valuable things. Not this gal. Maybe this site works for younger women, but if you are over 40 BEWARE!

Plenty of effort, no results
September 23, 2022

The best thing I could say about Match. Com is that I did not experience any attempts to scam me. Other than that, despite my sincere efforts, it has been a total waste of time for 5 months of membership. I never imagined I could be this unsuccessful. In all fairness I am in a particular demographic, having just turned 70. I am in excellent health and fitness. That did not matter one iota on Match. I wrote courteous, pleasant messages to between 40-50 ladies. Not one, not a single reply. This is in part due to the fact that many women are no longer on the site but Match keeps their picture and profile up. Match hopes you write them so then Match can try to lure them to pay another subscription fee because they now have mail. There were other women who read my profile but as they are in the driver's seat due to multitudes of men being on Match, they become extremely selective with their self image at an all time high from the attention men provide them on a dating site. Those, like myself, of average height at 5'9" are at a disadvantage to taller guys whether they are flabby or out of shape, unlike myself, as I am in top shape. In 5 months did I have communication or meet any women? Yes, in 5 months I did meet 4 ladies. Here is what they had in common: They contacted me first and they were all older than me, 72 to well into their 70's. I never met a woman on Match in her 60's in 5 months. Did I receive "Likes"? Yes, I did, again from women a few years older than me, not from ladies in their 60's. Match.com is a master of deception. They are unconcerned with you, only your money. It has been a terrible experience for me to try Match.com.

Their auto-renewal is a scam and a way to charge you more! I canceled my auto-renewal, and they didn't, and they will not send you an email to charge your credit card. The next thing I know, they charged my CC for $159. The worse customer service I have ever experienced.

At first I thought I snagged a deal ($80 for three months of premium) but it is a nightmare. I think I've had one match in 50 days. The boost did absolutely nothing. My profile is fine. I've sent tons of messages. Nothing. What a complete scam. And to think I had this service many years ago and had success while paying so much less.

Like Eharmony, and Facebook Dating, Match.com does not vet their profiles. They do no background checks or verification. Consequently, I went through four years of wasted, frustrating and pissing off experiences dealing with liars and thieves. As a former felony prosecutor, I am an excellent criminal investigator. So I detect catfishers and shut them down. All the same, I don't know why these scumbags feel the need to mess with Americans. But they messed with the wrong dued. I finally did meet the girl who will probably be my last best wife. She is young enough to have a couple kids and very beautiful which is amazing given that I am 57 and bald.

Match in Russia
August 17, 2022

I recently discovered that Match is still supplying its services to Russia. This, by implication, supports the invasion of Ukraine. I posted this to several people on the site, and Match deleted my account. In other words, they do not want their clients to know and, in a manner consistent with Putin, have arbitrarily eradicated my attempts to speak out against their support for Russian aggression.
