I placed an order 2 weeks ago and received an email confirmation that it was shipped. Two weeks later, on the expected delivery date, Macy suddenly refunded me the order amount without any notice. Customer service did nothing to help with the situation. Did not offer any solutions that time was wasted ordering online from this unreliable company. There was no explanation for why the order was unfulfilled. No gift card, discount, or anything to compensate for the inconvenience they have caused to their customer. This is the second time that it has happened. DO NOT purchase anything online from Macy's if you absolutely need your items before a holiday or any important dates. They are very unreliable and constantly unable to deliver what they promise.
I have a $100 credit limit at Macy's and tried to increase it to $300. I had some late payments when my son was ill and I had to put medical bills on credit cards. This was almost 5 years ago and I have not paid one thing late since that time but I was denied an increase of $200! I have a GREAT job, am almost debt free and have credit with many other departments stores with much larger limits. I cannot believe that this company treats their customers so badly. I spent all morning ordering items and then called and spoke to three different people only to hear the same thing, NO, you can't have an increase from $100 to $300 even though you ALWAYS pay your bills. I just bought a new car a year ago with a great interest rate too! Why would someone sell me a car and Macy's won't let me have $300 in credit? Very insulting!
The worst service I've ever received. Idk what's worse in the store or on the phone. Just go ahead a close the business because that's what it looks like is going to happen. Not worth the stress.
I've been an avid shopper for decades and just had the best experience ever with a department store salesperson. Fatime works in the Women's Sportswear section of Macy's 34th Street in New York. Not only was she pleasant, knowledgeable, and accommodating, but she went out of her way to help me get discounts that I wouldn't have known were available. Her manager, Brent, was also congenial and obliging. The store is a better place with them on staff.
I ordered a pair of pants and a shirt. They doubled my order but did not provide me with a recipe or an update in my order history. They charged me twice, and told me i could not get refunded until my order was delivered, and then I had to return. I am currently waiting on hold to speak to a supervisor. I have been on hold for an hour and a half. The phone disconnected once and I had to start over. They do this because they want you to give up so they can keep your money they stole. I will never do business with Macys again in my life.
I ordered a set of pots that was supposed to be delivered on the 25th of March. They were delivered to the wrong address. I have been emailing back & forth with the contact service. The service department basically told me to go ask my neighbors that my package had been delivered. I paid my money and never received what I paid for. I also told them that I have ring cameras all around my house and no one even attempted to deliver anything. The company is not trying to make good. I am out of my hard earned money! You don't ever have to worry about me shopping here ever!

I ordered some fragances thru after pay and macys cancelled the order, because they have ''new security policies'' I called customer services spoke with Mary and she said there's nothing she can do and we have to wait seven banking days to get our money back. Or to go to a store and buy the fragances again, lol. What a terrible experience, that is why macys are closing so many stores. I will end buying my fragances in Ulta or Sephora Sad!
I put in a online order for Charter Club Jeans.I Like there jeans very much because they fit me good and this is why I like only there jeans.So I get a email and that my order is ready to pick up come to find out it is only one order of which I make a purchase for 4 pair of Charter Jeans...so I went to the store to pick up my order for one pair of Jeans and I order four on the same order number...ok so when I when I went to the store I just brought the jeans I order online...so Like a crazy person me went and order some more charter clubs jean...then I ask customer service the order I place today could I get it deliver instead of me picking it up from the store they told me no because after 30 mins you can not make any change to the order so now they want me to come and pick up one pick of each order of my order...and I told then I don't have the gas to keep driving to the store I am on a fix income and I do not have gas to waste coming to your store for one item.I want all of my order...so when all this is over I will never ever order anything from macy online store ever again.This will be my last.time I will go to the store instead.
They included an incomplete address with the package although the address was correct in the online order. Now they won't reship the item and it takes forever to get a refund. They don't care about the customer.
Macy's charged full price for the shoes but sent me a reimbursed pair.
The upper and heel have wrinkles, the soles are gray and even one sole is attached with two staples!
I am not in the States currently, so the shoes have to be forwarded by international shipping. I don't even know if it is worth returning them by paying an international shipping fee again.

Macys phone customer service is not in the U.S
They dont speak English or understand it. Very noisy background.Called numerous times and a simple situation like adding an apartment number to an address was not done for me. I had to put in 2 orders costing me twice the price. Shameful!
An employee by the name of Farzana who works in the Jewelry Department at Macy's was a humongous help to me making my purchase. She went above and beyond for me and I was very impressed. I give her a rating of a 10!

Before I start I want to say that I would have rated them a zero but 1 is the lowest rating. I purchased a ring from the Levian chocolate Diamond collection and I was so excited to finally receive it as it was a gift to myself. Unfortunately I never did and when I called ups to see why I hadn't they told me my package was lost in the mail and to call Macy's to make a claim to get my money back. Macy's refused to contact ups for confirmation of my missing ring and have refused to refund me. They didn't offer to replace the ring or anything and were very argumentative about something I spent MY MONEY on. I am really disappointed in the customer service and the outcome. I would have shared the names of the people I talked to but they were both foreign and I could barely understand them. They did absolutely nothing to help rectify the situation. Needless to say I will never spend another dime of my money with Macy and I will tell everyone I know to be cautious of ordering things online from them. Boooo Macy's sucks, I should have went to Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus.
Received jeans for Christmas took me until the middle of January to return them. The stupid assistant manager sent me all over the store to get more jeans and when I got back to the service desk she had a back-up huge woman to stand behind her as she informed me that the jeans were old stock. The store employee looked like yesterday's trash. I asked to speak to the manager to no avail. She was at home and and left the assistant with the inch long grey roots,no make-up worn out bra and stained snagged pull over snagged sweater in charge. She wanted to give me 17 cents for the jeans and told me that I could SELL them on marketplace(?).

Tried ordering 2 dresses on line. The site will not accept a Canadian billing address. Dress was being delivered to a USA Macy's. Called the international customer service as directed by the on line customer service rep. What a night mare have 2 authorizations holds on my credit card but they could not place my order. Spoke to 3 individuals who have a hard time with the English language. Worst experience ever. Will be watching my credit card closely. Felt like I was dealing with scammers over seas. By the way I have ordered from Dillards and JCP on line with zero issues. Stay away from this nightmare!
I went to Macy's in August 2022, made a purchase for my daughter (to take advantage of discounts) my daughter then used her debit to make a payment of the same amount. Well, I've been going back n forth with Macy's ever since with them saying a payment wasn't made! This company SUCKS! Stupid non English speaking "customer service" people. I gave them all the documents they requested n still no refund back to my card! Please do yourselves a favor n never get a Macys card, go get a Nordstrom card-they're much more professional. I give them 0 star!
I recently visited Macys at the Walden Galleria Mall in Cheektowaga NY. There were some good sales but customer service and friendliness was very lacking. I needed to checkout and the store was not busy but I had to go around the store asking to be checked out and the workers were very rude and would not help me. After asking the 6th person to please check me out it was a success but the worker acted like it was an inconvenience to drag her away from the group of Macy's workers gathered together talking. Never in my life have I encountered such terrible service.
What the heck happened to Macy's clothing department? It used to be my favorite place to buy clothes. Now the person who is in charge of buying clothes looks like they went to an old 1980's attic. The clothes are horrible, the displays are horrible and I find nothing I like. The only decent clothing display is athletic if that's what your going for. I guess I'll be looking for new stores to shop at.
