Many customers express frustration over billing discrepancies and difficulties in reaching live assistance, leading to perceptions of the company as untrustworthy. While some drivers receive praise for their service, the overall sentiment indicates a growing dissatisfaction with the app's functionality and the company's handling of complaints. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and address billing transparency.

ALERT My Lyft driver's account got HACKED through the Lyft portal support! Lost my hard-earned weekly money and my entire account! Despite reaching out to Lyft support MULTIPLE times since June 24th, I'm left hanging with ZERO response from their fraudulent department! Criminal activities running rampant, affecting countless drivers and riders! Where are the Lyft Directors and the CEO? NO CARE, NO ACTION! #LyftHacked #NoAccountNoJustice
This shocking breach of security exposes a grave flaw in Lyft's system, leaving innocent drivers vulnerable to heartless hackers. They had access to personal information, financial details, and possibly even location data! Our safety and livelihoods are at stake, and Lyft remains eerily silent.
How many more drivers and riders must suffer before Lyft takes this cybercrime epidemic seriously? The lack of urgency from the company's top brass is nothing short of alarming. Are they turning a blind eye to the wave of criminal activity happening within their own platform?
It's high time Lyft's Directors and CEO wake up to the harsh reality: our trust in the platform is shattered, and their inaction only amplifies our frustration and anger! As victims, we demand immediate action, thorough investigations, and transparent communication.
Don't let this happen to you! Spread the word and let your friends, family, and fellow Lyft users know about this disturbing breach of security. We deserve answers, justice, and a swift resolution to this ongoing nightmare. #LyftHacked #NoAccountNoJustice
Zero stars. They charged a cancellation fee after driver failed to pick us up. I politely requested the fee be credited back to my account, explaining the details. Their responses were unprofessional and insulting, and they refused to credit back the cancellation fee they inappropriately charged me. It was a small amount, which I pointed out, and fairly answering my request would result in my ongoing business with them, which I also affirmed. Yet they declined to do the right thing, resulting in poor review and total loss of my doing future business with them. The revenue they are losing far outweighs the cancellation fee they inappropriately charged then refused to credit back.
I just came out of a nightmare experience with Lyft. I had to wait 34 minutes at the airport for my Lyft ride under the scorching heat (almost 100) a couple of days ago because the first driver cancelled on me after making me wait for 20 minutes and I was assigned a new driver. By the time I got dropped off I was almost heatstruck and daze. I stupidly left my backpack in the backseat. I contacted the driver right away but no response. Lyft customer care was beyond useless. It says all I can do is keep contacting this driver through the app's Lost and Found system. Unbelievably, Lyft customer service kept telling me Lyft's Terms of Service do not require drivers to return items found in their cars to riders (!) and that drivers are not Lyft employers, and as such, they are not required to be keep in contact with Lyft. Lyft Customer care assured me they were sending messages to the driver from their end too. I could tell the location of my laptops in the lost backpack through Apple's Find My app, but Lyft still would not release the driver's full name, phone # or anything helpful citing "privacy requirement."
To make a long story short, I filed a report with the local police. Based on the satellite pictures of my Find My ping location, a detective "visited" the driver's apartment yesterday and retrieved my backpack thank God. Incredibly, the driver claimed to the police detective that she had never received a single message from Lyft or from me. Not knowing what to do with my bag, she was "safeguarding" it in her apartment!
In the meantime, I had asked Lyft to compel the driver to respond to us by deactivating her until she responded but Lyft refused. Which means, while Lyft was aware that I was having this difficulty with a potential thief of a Lyft driver, Lyft was assigning this driver to other passengers.
As far as I'm concerned Lyft is a borderline crime organization.
We ordered Lyft to go to dinner so we could have a cocktail and not drive, the driver picked us up in a Denali and my husband made a joke about the nuts the driver had in a cup. He asked if any of us would like his nuts. The driver pulled over and said there is a video camera and he will not be driving us. I couldn't tell if the driver was joking but he stopped the car and asked us to get out. So we got out…and then the driver got out and confronted my husband to not slam his door which was absurd. He is lucky my husband didn't loose his sh*t on the driver and only stated for him to get back in his car and leave the property. My only thing is if the driver doesn't like his job or didn't want to drive then don't work for the company. What a joke. Uber it is from now on!
Can you $#*!ing idiots tell time?! I set the pick-up time at 5:10, they get here at 4:45! Pull your heads out of your asses, sorry $#*!s. I only gave you one star because there's no button for no stars
Beware, If you load money on a Lyft Account and do not use or require their overpriced sleazy service, you will not get your money back. They are arrogant and obnoxious to deal with hiding behind their strict no refund policy. After a complaint filed with the BBB these Idiots are still practicing BAD BUSINESS, charging for services not rendered. Use UBER they are not overpriced like these Idiots and you wont be ripped off. I look forward to this Company Folding, Poor Customer Service, judging by the reviews they will be gone soon and onto a bright future bagging groceries for all of us they Ripped off.
James XUR443 my lift driver was supposed to pick me up for work at 5:50am. 5:50. The app tells me he's pulling up at 5:30am I'm watching him stop the car on the app saying it said he would be on time then he persist to come 20 minutes early! 20 minutes early! Now I get to sit outside at work for at least 20 minutes so James he literally said he had to come early because he had rides after mine. I scheduled this the night before! Customer service is junk. Showing up early to pick someone up is like having your cash register over at the end of your shift meaning you messed someone over to get what you got. Garbage! BTW I work in Atlanta. I'll be sitting outside in the dark. I'll never utilize lyft ever again.
On June 16th, 2023, I requested a Lyft from home to the Medical Clinic. Unfortunately, on the return trip, I accidentally left my phone in the Lyft driver's vehicle. I contacted Lyft support for help, but they didn't do anything about items left behind. I was hoping that the Lyft driver, Caleb, would return the phone, but he didn't. Please be aware of this Lyft driver, Caleb, he is a thief and drives a four-door blue vehicle who services Orange County, CA.
The night before a morning flight I scheduled a Lyft pickup from my Miami hotel. Litetally 5 min before the pickup time my ride disappeared from the Lyft app. Frantic (because the next available time woul result in me missing my flight), I try to find what's wrong. Finally clicked on Payment where it says "update credit card information." Which I did. But, ride was gone, resulting in me trying to secure a ride with another hotel guest going to the airport. Why on earth wouldn't the message Regarding updating the credit card come through before the last minute question are really horrible way to run a business.
I've been waiting almost an hour. I still haven't heard from a driver. Never again, will I use this service
Left app is not letting me request a ride. Lyft is not letting me speak to support. When requesting a ride, the app kept saying it did not have enough information. It already has 2 methods of payment and my profile is complete from my side. When asking the speak to support all the opptions are for people who's app successfully scheduled a ride.
This company charged me a $20 fee claiming that I ruined something in his car. Some water spilled on a rubber car mat, he took it out of the car and poured it off (about 1/2 cup). We offered to dry it for him as it was noticed when getting out of the car. He declined and said everything was fine. I tried to dispute the charge - they had not sent me any photos or proof and when I insisted, they sent me some bogus pictures and claimed that these charges are to help the drivers keep their cars clean from dirt, sand etc. I was wearing brand new flats at an indoor sports arena - no dirt. They absolutely refused to help me and sided completely with the driver. I'm removing the app from my phone and promise to use Uber now for everything. It wasn't the $20, it was the entire principle. I felt like I was being dismissed and scammed as a customer. I will NEVER use Lyft again.
Lyft is literally highway robbery. They'll charge you $70-$100, just to go one mile over. I've came out of $200 one day just to go to the grocery store and back home. They have ridiculous prices and if you don't want to pay a high amount, they make you wait 40mins for not paying $60 for the ride. After today I'm going back to Uber. Who wants to pay $200 just to go up the street? I feel sorry for the customers and the driver. Because after Lyft rips you off you can't even tip the driver. Smh
I had a requested ride to got to a funeral took 2 flights to get here and the bastards never came and u Chem my trip and Brian canceled or something I don't $#*!in know but thanks $#*! I missed my dad's funeral thousands of miles traveled for nothing $#*! boy $#*! I hope I get to meet Brian $#*! $#*! $#*!
Today, a driver named Jose, accepted my ride and never came. Had the nerve to actually drive to the destination & charged me. Customer service was NO HELP at all!
Using this app 2 weeks and have had some lovely drivers, tonight We booked a lift with Jose reg number IR17MC white Toyota Sienna.
When it got to arriving in 1 minute he cancelled lift, then arrived and collected another family for more money leaving myself and young children stranded. Knowing there is no consequence for this behaviour. If we cancel we get charged 5 dollars. He should be fined for this sort of conduct! Disgraceful
On Lyft charged me after I was in life threatening situation siting nothing they can do because system didn't allow change. They also have tendency to block funds from account finalize ride in different about so temporarily you've paid twice outbof your account for same ride. Beware of how long this takes it could byour ability to do other transaction if you're on a fixed income like myself
I would give them 0 stars if I could. They are often more expensive than Uber. Their app is always lagging and has caused issues such as not updating that a ride has been confirmed and I have to get an Uber and then find out the Lyft ride went thru but just took forever, so I had to cancel and get charged for it. I rented a bike which has little to any assistance and when I returned it. After locking the bike, the meter kept going. I had to wait 20 min
I see I am not the only 1 who experiences the same situations with Lyft. They take forever to pick up the ride. The drivers cancel mid pick up! It's thee worst of the worst. They do it frequently. 5 different drivers pick and cancel the ride. And Lyft prices is beyond ridiculous. I could call a local taxi and get the same set price as expected. Lyft is getting out of hand.
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
