Bought the loot crate a few times. The stuff was ok... I mean a few "omg so cool" items and mostly just whatever. As a Canadian the shipping is insane. I recently ordered from one of their big sales and instead of sending it all at once I got half of it a month or so after ordering and about 3 months later I'm just receiving the other half. I had to pay 15$ cod on each box so my discount merch cost me an extra $ 30 on top of what the site already charges in shipping. Would not recommend.

I signed up for the Sanrio Small Gift Summer box back in May. I received an email on June 28th with is saying there was going to be a delay and the box will ship out in July. I have messaged Loot Crate asking when will the crates be shipping out and they said there was a delay on one of items that was going to be inside the box. They also told me that I should expect tracking information next week (meaning this week). It's Thursday, now and I still haven't received anything. I know the week is not over yet, but this company judging by the reviews isn't doing what they are supposed to be doing! Hopefully, by Saturday I will be getting an email that my stuff has been shipped. I paid too much money!

I signed up for a crate in May, and by the end of June I still hadn't received it.

I reached out on July 4th to report the missing crate. On July 5th, I was told that an item from the crate was delayed and I should expect a tracking link by the next week.

The next week, I still hadn't received the crate, so I emailed again on the 9th. I was again told that I should expect a tracking link soon.

On the 10th, I finally told them that I had waited long enough and to cancel the crate and refund me. On the 11th I was told that I could not cancel or be refunded because the crate is already in transit. I asked the obvious question - how can the crate already be in transit and I still haven't received a tracking link?

On the 14th, I was told again that there was a delay on an item and to expect a tracking in a week. I responded back with expected frustration at being told contradicting excuses and I demanded that the issue be escalated to a manager, since at this point I was receiving only the same canned responses from the rep.

On the 17th (today) - 2 weeks after I originally emailed and a full week after asking for a cancellation and refund - a "team lead" emails me to tell me that I can't cancel or be refunded because "a label has already been" (I assume he meant "been created") for the crate and to expect it by the end of the week.

Since customer services is clearly not a concern for LootCrate, I've now begun the chargeback process to get my money back.

I had previously had the Firefly loot crate and it was perfectly fine. Problems showed up when i signed up for the star trek box. Long story short i was charged twice for boxes and nothing was ever sent. So i was paying for other people to get their boxes i guess?

I have been a Loot Crate subscriber since 2015. At first, I was a core crate subscriber, but switch to the Loot Gaming Cratewhen they first started that. At the time, I was in Japan (not bragging, that part is relevant later) and every crate was too quality and arrived on time with reasonably fast shipping for where i was.
Then suddenly Loot Crate started shipping crates out late. No big deal, it was just the occasional one off. Nothing too common.
Then... it became common. I started getting emails every month telling me my gaming crate was going to be late. Every month they would blame the supplier. Which sounds like passing the buck to me. If your supplier is late, you you should at least consider changing suppliers. But crazy enough, I didn't mind. The price was low and the quality was through the roof.
I even bought a 1 year subscription of their Fallout Crate and Star Trek Crate as gifts for my wife and my sister, respectively.
Then they raised the price. I remember the email because I got it at about the same time I got emails about each crate going out late... 4 emails from Loot Crate with bad news. But, whatever, it was only a few bucks. Well worth the quality.
Then, it happened. They lowered the quality. The past 2 tshirts have both shrunk in the wash. At that point, I decided to cancel. I still have a couple more gaming crates coming that I paid for as well as the Fallout and Star Trek crates, all of which allow me to continuously get emails from them letting me know things will be shipped late.
On top of the subscriptions I mentioned, I have also purchased onesies and twosies of Firefly and Anime crates along with the purchase of both Mass Effect crates and the COD WW2 crate. So, you can say I was a huge fan of Loot Crate, it sucks to have to cancel, but they have declined too much.

I saw an ad for this while scrolling on my fb feed and for over a week it just kept showing up. So I decided to look into it. I saw you were able to pick from a random set of crates that fit to what you like and I found one. I have so many crates that now they are taking over my closet! I don't need to buy shirts since I get one every month! You get 5 items and I will say 4 items are awesome and most of the time the 5th item is an after thought just thrown in and kinda ok lame, but for the price I've found it's the better one out there. I ordered a few other crates and cancelled them, they cost more and you don't even get a shirt just a bunch of cheap crap. Or a box that someone looked like they went through a garage sale and sent you those items.
So from trial and error this lootbox is the best. If your issue is with shipping it clearly states they charge you early in the month around the 5th you get your item sent around the 22nd. So there is some wait.
Yes 95% of the time you get an email with tracking information. I've had to contact customer service and I have yet had an issue some times the wait time is longer but I get that auto email first then an actual person within the next few days. All my issues were resolved. I think this is a great box, my lootbox might not appeal to little little kids most items I keep in boxes and such. But they have so many other boxes to pick from. I love the shirts (I'm a girl and order the male shirts) I wear them all the time. I do wish they would stick to one brand because some are so soft and stretch lovely while other shirts seem stiff.

What a RIP OFF
June 27, 2018

I ordered May's loot crate, loot wearables, and I tried to order loot for her. All that happened when i did that is there site glitched out charged me twice and didnt say i even ordered the loot for her. So naturally i emailed their customer service. Well after going back and fourth with them it's been almost 2 months they didnt give me my money back and i still dont have a single crate from them. So essentially they took about $70 from me with nothing to show for it. Luckily my bank had amazing customer service, I explained to them what happened and they gave me my money back. But I had to go with out a bank card for a week because they had to cancel it and thank god they did. After all that loot crate, even though I skipped the next month still tried to charge me ANOTHER $70 worth of stuff. I have all the emails and bank statements to prove all of this. Lootcrate is an absolute RIP off.

I cancelled my firefly crate back in march. Well they take 2 months to cancel, and they still ran another month on me. I'm going to dispute it with my credit card and try and get the charges cancelled.

I've cancelled again on them, and I'm keeping the email just in case.

The only reason I signed up for loot gaming was for the god of war crate, since I signed up I got really crappy stuff that I ended up giving away. I also got damaged and alot of late stuff. Save your money and the excitement it's totally not worth it.

Horrible service
June 19, 2018

The products themselves are very hit and miss. Most the time it's garbage but occasionally there is something that is pretty neat. I did a year of the Harry Potter Crate, that was 90% trash. A year of Loot Gaming, I'd say 50/50 on that one and am now working through a year of the basic loot crate which so far has been pretty disappointing.
Items hardly ever ship on time and always take longer then they say to be delivered.
I have canceled them all with no interest in renewing, they managed to charge me another year on the loot gaming and refuse to give a refund.
Horrible customer service I wont purchase any others and can not recommend this company to anyone.

I subscribed to lootcrate. As much as I love the stuff in the crate 50% of the time I have to spend a month chasing the shipment. So it's not quite the "treat" for myself I expected.
They've blatantly lied to me telling me a replacement would be shipped. Then when I followed up on that they referred to the original shipment as being stuck. Same guy. Just was too lazy to read the full email where he had promised the replacement was being processed week previously.
Luckily I go through PayPal and at a final desperate bid to get a refund I got Paypal involved. Lootcrate have sent an email saying a replacement is being "processed" but will take 2 weeks to arrive because I'm in Australia.
I requested someone from their management or dispute resolution team to contact me but alas no reply at all.
They've taken their May subscription fee which was the reason I started chasing down the crate that was meant to have been shipped. I can imagine in August I will have the same ordeal. Thankfully I have cancelled future payments. I really would prefer a refund because the time and effort spent trying to get a straight answer from the customer "service" is atrocious.
The fact they do not allow Google reviews is a big sign a company is incompetent.
They were very quick to blame Australia post and as much as I'm not a fan of Auspost the tracking never got as far as this country. It was in transit and has been in transit for over a month.
If they provided a product as promised I would have prepaid for years but they don't.
If you do choose to get lootcrate be ready to chase them constantly to ensure they don't take your "subscription' fee as a donation.

So I found lootcrate on YouTube and thought it looked cool. I told a friend that Id like a 1 year subscription for my birthday (August 2017) and he bought it for me. The first 2-3 month were smooth, no real issues. Since then it has been nothing but issues. Im so sick of emailing them every month because something isnt right and i HATE to contact places and complain. They are careless and their service has been subpar for almost 6 months. If you have an issue you cant call and talk to someone you have to wait for an email which generally only addresses one part of you multiple part issue. They just completely ignore the second half of your concerns! Ive had two crates be over a month late since Ive subscribed and the items have been decreasing in quality and quantity (I have the basic crate). There site also says if you prepay for a year subscription you get a free shirt after 3 months. It took nearly 6 months for that shirt and I emailed them 3 times in three months about not receiving it. Then when the shirt came it was the wrong shirt! I was so fed up I didnt even write them back. So long story short, their crates arent worth the money and if you are ordering from a company and they dont have a hotline, just dont order!

I purchased 2 crates at xmas 2017. I live in australia so shipping can take awhile, I get that. BUT lootcrate lied flat out to me about my stranger things package. Its coming, its coming its coming. 3 months later I got fed up and contacted them again. Oh actually we sold out and one never was sent to you. WOW! Really? So why didnt you refund my money? Oh we will do that now shall we. Oh and just so you know, we aren't doing it again, sorry about your sons birthday present.

Second crate was just the regular crate. After the 3 months I signed up for finished they just automatically charge you for the next 3 months - AT FULL PRICE. I didnt even know until I got an email saying one was on its way. So I contacted them, said I didnt want it and refund my money. To late for the first lootcrate - its already shipped - ok whatever just cancel the rest. Which they did... funny that for a 3 months subscription I didnt get back 1/3 of my money. Anyway the loot crate is now 2 weeks overdue and Im waiting to hear back from them. So my advice to you is keep your money and buy $#*! you actually want online or instore with it.

As an international shipping I should get my lootcrate like 10 days with delay. That's fine. The thing gets worse when it's been a month, you try to understand what's happenning and they just "apologize" and tell you that you will get a tracking info email. I'm still waiting for that tracking email... I just don't care about the F box. I want my money back. I'm done waiting so much time.

WASTE OF MONEY
April 26, 2018

I was on a LootCrate monthly plan and it was by far the worst monthly subscription from a company ever!

I'm currently 3 months behind on my monthly crates and they have given me no peace of mind nor have they given me an insight as to when i'm going to get the LootCrates.
I'm getting the Crates sent internationally so that means i have to wait an extra 10 days longer than everyone else but atleast they state that before you buy, but waiting over a month and a half for a box to be stuck in transit and then to be told that it could be another 4 weeks with no compensation is a waste of money. Think of all the money that you could save from LootCrate and get all the stuff you want somewhere else and not only get the stuff but much better service. There is little to no service and what service there is, its like talking to a brick wall.

Don't do it, its a waste of time, money and life.

Loot crate has been the worst experience I have ever had with a monthly box subscription. The March crate never arrived and the company has offered nothing to compensate for this. They did say they were going to send a replacement however that replacement has not been sent yet and its already April 23. If it ever does get sent its going to be another 4 weeks of waiting for it (because they are not able to expedite it). Oh wait they also offered a 10% discount on my next subscription payment (not even as good as their promotions) - but I was only able to get this after 22 emails back and forth and requesting an escalation to a manager. They are just growing way too big for their ability to give good service! Don't waste your money

Two things here

Licensed content - Continuously
Themed crates - This means gaming, anime, other, or general +dx

Those 2 things put Loot Crate above all others.

I have not seen a single crate site that offers these options and this puts them ahead of the rest. Yes, ship dates are a problem. However, none of this stuff will keep you alive so there is no reason for so much hate.

The anger from others stems from being so excited about getting their crate that they get impatient. I understand this isn't a good thing, but how many other sites out there do you get excited for like that?

Yes, customer service SUCKS HARD. I am not even kidding, it sucks. I have ripped their outsourced customer service a new one, repeatedly. HOWEVER, when an item comes in damaged, I GET TAKEN CARE OF. They make it right and they re-shipped my items in a timely and professional manner. Ultimately, this is what we want. To be taken care of when things go wrong.

Loot crate is not perfect. However, its the best out there.

March 26, 2018
Previous review

Did the chicago cubs sportscrate. Zero customer service. Lies. Lies. Lies. Nothing i would buy on purpose or sober. Gear was supposed to be collectible, bull, you can buy it on their lootvault for pennies. Still waiting for gear from 9/30/2017. It is 3/26/2018. Do yourself a favor and delete before reading anything from lootcrate. Unfortunate i have to give them a star, they don't deserve it.
