I have had to use I-Ready for schoolwork, and I have never found it fun, encouraging, or ever learned something from it. The diagnostic tests that you have to take are stressful, and most of the time, just make your self esteem lower. More times than not, I have had to read passages from the 1700's and 1800's, which I feel is very impractical for students in Elementary School or Middle School. The lessons themselves don't do very good of a job of ensuring that you will remember anything that it has taught. I have always thought that the "long lessons" in which featured the characters talking more than teaching. Any teacher of mine that I have asked why we did this has always said that they don't know, and how it is pointless. I do not recomend using I-Ready.

Not good at all
May 10, 2023

I'm a 7th grader and have been doing I-ready for multiple years. It's extremely bad.
Starting from last year, I have finished all the reading lessons for it. I have not learned anything at all. Each lesson feels like the same thing over and over and is hurts my brain to the most extreme degree. The lesson themself are also brain-hurting. Some of them are just way too long and make me want to get every question wrong, just so I could get it over with. It's slightly tolerable, but math I-ready on the other hand...

It's horrible. I hate it so much.
1. The lessons are so so so slow and feel like they go on forever.
2. Dialogue is just unbearable, the jokes are horrible and unfunny.
3. You can't skip anything and it takes way too long to end.
4. You get like 3 questions wrong and you have to go through everything all over again.
5. You don't learn anything, by the end you just feel worn out
6. I hate it so much and would not recommend to anyone at all

This website does not help any of my students learn. Actually, this makes them dumber than before. This keeps messing with my whole class, and our teacher doesn't believe us. One lesson takes at least 30 minutes, and their is 2 lessons in one. I also hate reading tests because I have a sixth grade level in fourth grade, but I literally get 0% on every one of my tests. I don't recommend this, and it may be hard to believe me where I am a young kid. Just for your advice, please do not use this website. It doesn't help anybody learn, and makes them unsmart.

I-ready lessons are just like insanity, doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. They kill me from the inside and makes me want to jump off a 5 story building for fun. My physical strength has been wasted listening to dad jokes from the 1800, and my mental strength is ruined because its literally made me INSANE.

Tips for people: you will collapse from the inside out

Products used: my time, sanity, and will to live

I am a student that uses Iready and can say that every time I have to use it, I end up mentally drained and worse off than ever. What prompted me to write this was the fact that recently I have gotten so fed up with it that I consider whether failing out of school would be easier than mental torture.

I hate this so much. These slow@$$ processes and other $hit like that is making me think MCAS is good. I literally got 3 wrong on the stupid goofy ahh my path and got a 72% and it makes me "start over" nothing at all makes sense to me and it makes me more mad that it is just so annoying and doesn't help me do remotely anything good and makes me DUMBER because of how much braincells I lose doing it.

This is a horrible app. It's busy work for kids and they learn nothing from it. They get stuff from years ago. The diagnostic makes me wish I was dead. Would literally rather do anything. Schools should never make their students go through something like this and do every way ti avoid it.

The I ready system makes people stressed and make their mental health even worse. It doesn't even help you learn.

I am in 5th grade and I use I-ready. In the diagnostic, it was asking me trig questions, which were very easy. After that, Let me confirm I CAN skip 4 grades but choose not to for social reasons, and i can do a little/modarate amount of ap/ab calculus like integral, it it gave me GRADE LEVEL math. Now this was a dissapointment as it doesnt care about my learning, it just cares about money. Now I am making carless mistakes as I learned this in third grade already.

Edit, 13 march 2024 (13/03/24) Yes i used dd mm yy, i wat to move to the UK:

Start: So today I was taking the reading diagnostic, and I realised something. THIS IS F£@¬# ca;italist brainrot. This is because it was literally making Ronald Raegen look like he is 'liberating' people from the soveit union while staining for him, which I think is propaganda. Also, it gave literally everyone the same lesson as they had previously, so the diagnostic is useless.

This program is so stressful it doesn't help students at all, and it overworks a child's mind. None of the lessons help children especially those who process information differently.
