My visit at Lenscrafters, was beyond one of the best
Encounters, I have ever experienced. (Because of a
Horrible Experience at America's Best, I was incredibly nervous and fearful).
Sheila my salesperson, helped me With my Insurance, her kindness put me at ease, immediately. She got me an Eye Exam, and I was a
Walk in, that morning with Dr. Lewis.
He was so amazing, took his time with me. Explained everything. I had, no more fear and felt
Rejuvenated. A whole different experience indeed.
Glasses were ready in a week, Sheila helped me,
"My glasses were perfect". I was thrilled, and will
Only come to Lenscrafers, and their very Professional staff.
Anyone who wants the job done, the first time, go
To Lenscrafters, you will be amazed and feel right
At home.
Thank you so much, with all my heart. Your kindness and experience meant so much.

Choosing LensCrafters located at Madison Avenue/23Street in NYC was a mistake. In addition to the cost, the lack of knowledge and service has forced me to go elsewhere. I will never recommend LensCrafters after my interaction with store manager Nicole.

I'm actually surprised it's a brand name like LensCrafters who behaved this way.

First they cancelled my order, for no apparent reason.

I contacted Live Chat and they gave me a very vague answer about not receiving the prescription correctly. (I uploaded it correctly, and the website processed it.) So I took their advice to do it again, and select the "call my doctor" option.

Note that this was already a surprise and inconvenience and would push me close to the date where I absolutely need my glasses, and I was really counting on this next try to go thru correctly.

5ish days later it still said "pending rx", so I contacted Live Chat, and they said to email *******@lenscrafters. No answer.

Couple days later another email, and a day or so later still no answer.

I contacted Live Chat and they told me that my doctor's fax machine was down and that they hadn't been able to receive my prescription. (I don't really even understand how they would know that, unless they had communicated with my doctor-- in which case they'd be able to have my prescription and process my order, LOL. What, did they get in touch with you right this moment as I opened up Live Chat?)

Given that I need my glasses asap at this point (and at this point I wouldn't trust it if they told me they could have it ready in time), I asked to cancel the order, which they did.

Altogether it's clear that there's some problem on their end and they're not being upfront about it, and left me hanging and badly inconvenienced.

I really am amazed I was communicating with LensCrafters rather than some fly by night operation or something.

Ironically, I was willing to pay more to use them because I thought they'd be reliable. With cheap online options, I'd advise that there's absolutely no reason to use LensCrafters.

I had the pleasure of having Tata Baker helping me with my eyeglass needs on 4/5/2022. She provided the best customer service I've had in a very long time! She is an asset to the company and to the store!

$640 FOR READING LENSES w/ TRANSITIONS! NO FRAMES, JUST LENSES! REALLY! JUST went in the south Lakeland store today (March 25th, 2022) to get a price on lenses only. I bought the Amazon Echo Frames that are prescription ready. My vision is perfect except for needing reading glasses (only -1.75). So I ONLY needed a price for reading lenses with Transitions. Guess what I got for a quote? ---> $640.00! Are you kidding me! $640.00 for Reading only with Transitions! That's without an eye exam because they said I don't need one for readers! I don't have insurance so I guess they think I'm stupid enough to buy into this garbage price! Also the lenses were just the cheap polycarbonate lenses! C'MON! $640 FOR CHEAP PLASTIC READING LENSES? Really? The "transitions" part should be less than $100! Maybe if I drove there in a Yugo I'd get a better price, doubt it!

My online shopping experience with LensCrafters.Com is actually one of the worst I've ever experienced. I ordered contacts, and glasses. Two separate orders because that was the only way I was allowed to use my insurance for each purchase. My contacts came and they were the wrong prescription. I called, started a return process. But because I had used my insurance on those, I was unable to purchase a new pair with my insurance. I had to pay out of pocket.
I also purchased glasses. Nice ones. Michael Kors. Was very excited for them. Instead, I was sent some man's Ray Ban prescription glasses. Again, I called, returned them, asked for mine to be replaced. A replacement order was initiated, and then three days later, I get an e-mail saying they don't have the prescription for my glasses. Despite me having uploaded it and sent it in multiple times for the original order. I attempted MANY times to upload through the website, but none of the pages would load and allow me to upload. I was offered no compensation, no discount, nothing. I was still charged for my glasses (it's been 25 days since my original order - I still dont have them.) And I can't use my insurance anywhere else because I used my allotted benefits at this stupid website.

Hope you have a spare pair
January 27, 2022

My glasses broke so unless you have a current script you can't get a pair… so I got a script, went there to get a pair, paid close to 500 and they were not good and I was saying well I can't really see…. So she says we have a complainer in the house, and repeated herself in a raised voice. I guess she thinks it shuts up the customer…so I gave them the take them and try cause that was basically my choice per her call, so I went back after a week and said no way, just can't, got a different girl and she was nice, said well on progressive lens you need a different lens, so for your inconvenience I will upgrade you for free, so I wait another week for arrival (again) and they are a little better but the original girl I had dealt with said you aren't going to give any trouble are you? Huh? She spoke up while she was helping another customer… I never acted upset or anything at any time, I just answered what they asked, can you see this how about far…. The girl that helped this time says well if these don't work you will have to go to the thousand dollar lens, give these a try…so I take the second pair home and the field of vision is so narrow, it's like everything is blurry. I been wearing glasses 55 plus years, yeah I get it ya gotta point your nose a bit to see perfectly but your eyes look about such as driving and you really need to see when driving, no joke, and this pair ain't really safe to wear. I gotta go back, my 30 days are close, I guess they are gonna try and hit me for another 500, crap this is hard to type cause they ain't working for this either, but do I go back and endure another tongue lashing from the wise comment girl, and then wait another week for another pair? What do I do if they are jacked as well…. Says satisfaction guaranteed, but I don't see no refund clause, I gotta drive an hour just to get there, I'm pretty tired of sort of dizzy and can't focus. So, the title of better have a spare pair is what I needed. I pulled a nine year old pair out of my golf bag, I got them as a single vision for golf and put them on, said oh heck no, these aren't what I thought they would be, never thought I would be digging them out of the bottom and having to use them. Wearing glasses I'm familiar with a bad pair and you can't hardly wait til the insurance covers another pair… even tho there was a deductible, now I have Medicare, they don't pay didley for glasses, them$100 me $500, so they want another 500? If these glasses were half ok I might roll over and say oh you got me once I won't be back, but I can't even get that much so far. Could it be my script is off or is it quality issue? I kinda think I should just buy a pair online and see what I get for comparison. Which person didn't do their job? LensCrafters or the lens maker. If there is a difference. But look at the trouble they caused. Ok I will say in about 1980 I had to move on from an optometrist, tested twice, same answers, two pair later, no way, so my friend gets a pair there say 20 years or more later and says I got new glasses and they are terrible, he got them from the same guy, I said really? I went to him once. Dr. Wasn't even in the town we lived in which had umpteen optometrist to chose from. Told him, do want you want but… I have never seen my friend since as I moved so I don't know his end story. I hope I'm not in that boat again. I don't even have bad to say about that optometrist he told me was ok, just told me I'd have to go somewhere else. I did, got a pair that was fine. Where I used to live they said don't go to LensCrafters so what do I do, move 2,600 miles away and go to LensCrafters. My mistake. I don't have my end result yet but I'd say don't go there.

Thanks Lens Crafters
December 20, 2021

I recently purchased glasses from another store. They were either unwilling or unable to make them fit properly. My wife, a long time Lens Crafters customer, suggested I ask if they could help. Red faced and reluctant, I visited their store. Their positive attitude immediately put me at ease. Within a very few minutes, I left with perfectly fitting glasses. Thank you to Audrey & Andrea for saving the day. I guess you know where I'll go when these need to be replaced. Oldbuck

Helpful and courteous
October 28, 2021

Stopped by Arizona Mills location because I needed new nose guards for my sunglasses. The employees were courteous and attentive and were able to find what I needed and install on my glasses. When I asked about the charge they said there was none, and I'm not even a prescription glasses customer. Really nice staff and I'm appreciative of the support. Would recommend this location.

Bad customer service
November 13, 2020

I purchased a pair of glasses about a year in a half ago. Just after a year I noticed light scratches and the coating was coming off. I took them back to the store and the only way I can get them fixed is to PAY for another eye exam, what a scam! I just wanted to get back the glasses I paid for. I am certain I could see better than the employee trying to read my receipt. How is it you spend over 500.00 with all the lens coatings and they only last 1 1/2 years? This is piss poor customer service. I am looking to see if I can get a refund and go somewhere else, maybe I will try small claims court? I complained to corporate. In the 10 days it took them to answer my email I ordered a pair of glasses and received them and they were 155.00 and the quality is much better.

BUYER BEWARE!
August 9, 2020

CONSUMER BEWARE! I went to LensCrafters to get contacts. I went through the process of getting fitted and trained on how to use and maintain my contacts. The trial contacts were ordered when I completed my eye exam. I was told it would take 4-5 weeks as my contacts were special order. Approximately two weeks after that I received a call from a store rep who told me there was a problem with ordering the contacts; that they were having a communication problem with the fax machine (really? A fax machine?) so now the order would be delayed in excess of the normal 4-5 weeks. When the contacts finally arrived a few weeks later, I received the contacts training at the store. I was then told I should order a supply of contacts. I was planning to order a 12-month supply, however when they told me that the contacts that I need cost $448.20 for a 6-month supply, I only ordered 6-months. Now I had to wait another 4-5 weeks for my permanent prescription order to arrive. During that time, I was to use the trial pair they ordered. I have never worn contacts before and somehow, about three weeks along, one of the contacts ripped. I called the store and was told that the trial pair was the only pair they ordered; I would have to wait for my permanent order to be delivered. I was going away in two days and really needed to wear my contacts. I was taken aback when they told me that they only ordered one trial pair. One trial pair for a person that has never worn contacts. This just make no sense.
So, now it comes time to re-order the contacts. I ordered the new contacts from a website. The same manufacturer, same contacts, same 4-5 weeks for delivery; only $219.98 for a 6-month supply. I can guess that LensCrafters pays less than I did so that means I was charged over 100% mark up! I personally find this a violation of trust. I expect to pay some markup but over 100% is offensive. So, before I gave a poor review of LensCrafters, I thought I would give them a chance to make things right. I was told by their rep that they are unwilling to do anything about this matter because the 30-day post sale period is over. Keep in mind that I trusted that I was not getting taken advantage of, so I did not feel the necessity to look at the whole picture until long after their 30-day post sale period for complaint's or requests for refunds ended. I will never do business with LensCrafters or anyone associated with them ever again. I recommend that other consumers do the same. Buyer Beware.

ALL brick and mortar eye glass stores are owned by the same company and are artificially expensive. Look it up for yourself.
So, it is with some reluctance that I $#*! about one of them. I mean, what's the point? Well, be that as it may...
Lenscrafters has been advertising Clarifye as the new digital eye exam. They advertise that this new 'technology' eliminates the "1 or 2,2 or 3" experience. Through a link, Lenscrafters.com led me to make an appointment with an optometrist who didn't even have this 'technology'. I would have to go to somewhere else for it. BUT, get this - the new 'technology' only eliminates the doctor manually flipping the machine's lenses. The doctor now flips them with a button and the machine electronically flips them. IT'S STILL "1 or 2,2 or 3" for crying out loud!
I would have walked out had my wife not been with me. But, I will not patronize Lenscrafters again. Deceptive.

Bought a $500 gift certificate. Mailed it to her. Her address had changed. Got lost in mail. There Policy is "Must have the gift certificate to redeem it. NOT just the receipt of the Gift certificate purchase!" They tell you that at purchase. So it s gone! Multiple calls to them "we'll call you back!". = They don't! I have personally gone in to the store = "Awaiting manager or corporate e-mail response!" Yes they have great Lenses - I always get the best of the best of progressive Oakley's. But Gift certificate,. If it gets lost in the mail, your gone eat it, and waist of a lot of time trying to get it back! Next I suppose Ill be filing small claims court, which also takes more time and money! What a pain! Never doing that again! General manager at this store Mike Lozada = "Don't know or think we can cancel the gift cert order number. But we are aware of it and working on it! I. E. = you gonna have to spend a lot more time and fight for it. I'm just tired of having to keep calling and going in to store to resolve it. I have receipt in email of purchase, but ultimately their policy and stance is "You must have the actual Gift certificate piece of paper!, Not the receipt - but the actual Gift Certificate" I Hate to go this route, but my time and effort is valuable. I will never do gift certificate there again! Other places would be "You have receipt? - No problem, well refund you or issue another gift certificate. Lenscrafters = different story!

I recently went shopping for a pair of glasses and I found lens crafters to be way overly priced on both their frames and lenses. You can buy the same elsewhere for much less. They said my lenses would be much more than every other place I went even with a 40% discount on the lenses. Meaning they must be charging at least 50% more for lenses then other places so they can give you a discount which still ends up costing you more money in the long run then if you would have went somewhere else. And $200 for a frame that in most other places you can get similar quality for $65 or less on sale. I think they should get real with their pricing and I don't see how they manage to stay in business or doesn't anybody bother to shop around anymore? Anyway, I was very disappointed with the whole experience in general and have not plans or ever going back to lens crafters.
