They can't get it right
September 30, 2024

I had my initial exam on 8-3-24, I was told my right eye was perfect I don't need an rx in my right eye, I guess it rejuvenated it's self.
They sent me a text on 8-9-24 I picked up my glasses.
When I got to work on Monday my computer was blurry.
I went back for a 2nd exam on 8-17-24 they added some power to my right eye.
I called them on 8-31 to check on the new lenses, I was told they arrived with a large scratch in one of the lenses they had to be reordered.
On 9-17 I received a text they were ready to be picked up. I picked them up 9-27.
The following Monday my computer screen is still blurry.
I called Lenscrafters they want me to come in for a 3rd exam.
They've wasted enough of my time.
I was already put off by the filthy carpet in the West roads Lens Crafters in Omaha, Ne. There are huge stains on the carpet throughout the entire business.

Full of lies
April 5, 2024

Ordering from lens crafters online has been the worst experience ever. They will lie to you about your delivery date. Then turn around and give you a million more reason why your glasses haven't arrived. It's just piss poor customer service. If I was anyone in the market looking for a new glasses run away from this company.

I was on the phone with lenscrafters of Nashua and after reviewing my Amerihealth medicaid insurance, a customer service representative told me that she would have to review my file to see if the insurance would cover the bill. The representative called me back to tell me that nothing would be covered under my health insurance, and that no lens crafters in the area would take my health insurance that would cover any of my expenses. I would be paying out of pocket. She advised me to call my insurance company directory or more specilook up my insurance company online to see which places my insurance covered. Upon her telling me to look up my health insurance directory to see which eye doctors would accept my insurance, I told her that I already did that and that no eye doctors accepted my insurance. I told the representative named LAURA a second time that I already did that and she proceeded to talk over me. She then told me that she did not talk to me about it and that she didn't know that I already called my insurance company to see which eye doctors would accept my insurance after a 3rd time in which I had to raise my voice for her to listen. The representative before LAURA hung up in my ear after I put her on hold when another eye doctor called me back and I spoke to them for less than 2 minutes. This company has horrible customer service, I highly advise going with another eye doctor because they are extremely rude, expensive, and have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS to VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. This company and the representatives including LAURA as well as every other customer service rep have VERY BAD AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

The store manager in Spotsylvania mall store is horrible. Rude to customers and especially her co workers. If you are a male look out she'll bite your head off. Very rude to customers on the phone. Please do something or you will loose customers. Lost one here.

Bad customer service
January 19, 2024

I purchased my glasses in August. When I get my exam the doctor recommends me to get my eyes dilated. The doctor told me to make sure I make and didn't say when or how long to make that appointment. Well 4 months later I call to make and appointment to get my dilation done well the rep Karen told me that she would check and call me back. Well she talked with the doctor and the doctor stated to her that she didn't recommend that for me. Well I'm not a doctor and I know she recommended that for me because why would I call and try to make and appointment. I also had a huge problem with my glasses and I had to return them because the prescription was so strong I couldn't see out of them so I return them so they could be redone. I have never had this kind of problems with lenscrafters. My thing is the doctor did tell me when I was done with my appointment and now when I tried to make a appointment to get my eyes dilated I was told that I had to wait a whole year to see the doctor again to get a order for that. Bad customer service from the rep Karen and also the doctor. When I call back to speak to the doctor the representative Karen told me the doctor didn't order it and I ask to have the doctor to contact me and Karen the rep said that the doctor is waiting on other patients and she already said she didn't order it for u. Karen the representative was very rude because I call back and she held the phone on me and didn't say anything and hung up on me. I tried calling again and she said to me why are u keep calling, I told her because no one was saying anything on the phone and Karen the representative said I heard u ordering food but if she heard me why didn't she say something. She was just holding the phone and not responding. So I will not be coming back to this store anymore and would not recommend anyone to go there and buy glasses.

Eyeglass repair
December 27, 2023

I went to Lens Crafters today to have a screw put in my glasses that keeps falling out. I've only had my glasses for 6 months and this is the second screw. If I can't get to a year with no problems, then I foresee future problems. The lady at the desk told me I had to leave the glasses for 24 hours for a screw and they will call me when to pick up. This is awful Customer Service! It does not take 24 hours for a screw. Rediculous! I'll think twice before I'm tempted to buy from Lens Crafters again.

Unpleasant
October 28, 2023

Went to get my eyes checked and glasses updated. They were unwilling to make a deal with me to get what I needed. Didn't seem happy that I had my own glasses and raised the price up on what was needed. Paperwork was manipulated to make everything look good on Managers End. Manager got sparky and rude, as well it got returned. Denied what his employee stated to me and didn't want to help make the situation right. Manager told me to go somewhere else from now on. Go to an Optometrist that was all in one while they are 2 separate businesses. Worst place I have ever tried to make a deal to get what I needed without an upcharge for having my own items. Gave me a refund instead of offering to help me. They are about dollars and not client help. Very untrustworthy place.

Worst service ever
October 26, 2023

Lens Crafters store in Bethesda Montgomery Mall is the worst. They can't do the lenses right and when I complained to their customer service, the Store manager lied about what happened and what I asked for. Totally unprofessional and it is sad to see a Luxottica store fail in doing the right lenses twice and not able to fit them in a Mont Blanc frame! Wish I can give them zero stars

Garbage lenses
October 24, 2023

I bought 2 pairs of glasses at the Northland location in Calgary. I purchased 1 pair of regular glasses and 1 pair of reading glasses. When I went in to pick them up my vision was blurry in both pairs of glasses. I brought this to their attention and they told me to go next door and have my eyes checked again. I did and received a call a few days later that my glasses were ready. They were exactly the same. BLURRY. They tried to say that my eyes would adjust. What they did was just put them on the shelf, wait a couple of days and give me the same lenses back. When I did start using the glasses the coating started coming off the first day. I didnt want to deal with these crooks again so I just went somewhere else. 100% garbage service and even worse lenses. Lenses made in China would be far superior to these. They dont care about the customer and if you complain they "SPIT" in your "FOOD" and give it back to you. If you go to these crooks you get what you deserve.

Brand new $500 lenses scratched the first month.
October 13, 2023

Went online to find a frame I really liked before and saw LensCrafters was carrying them. Won't make that mistake again. Don't buy any upcharge coating on lenses, they will scratch, they will give you the runaround you will need to buy new glasses elsewhere. Spoke to a coworker who also had a similar experience when trying to get an itemized receipt for insurance after his wife was taken for a ride on hidden fees. Con artists 100%

Cheap materials used
September 25, 2023

Brought a pair of Ray Bans and had tint added for sun protections. Had to have them replaced once because it chips off I had insurance thankfully, they tried to tell me if probably was from wear and tear over time but I had only had them a couple of months and very careful with my glasses. Now it's been a couple of months since the repair and doing it again! I have had glasses for several years now and never experienced this. I would not recommend them. Although the staff was nice and helpful it's very aggravating to deal with especially after you spend that kind of money on them.

As a veteran, I get a discount on base, but I don't use it because they don't have the designer glasses with high impact plastics, or just attractive classy looking frames at a fair price. So, I went to Lenscrafters with Drs. McIntyre, Avila, and Jurica in Corpus Christi, Tx.TX. The customer was outstanding despite being a walk in and a minimum wait. I noticed some customer who walked in and were told about a 15 minute wait, BUT, if you leave and don't return on time, you'll have to wait another 15 minutes. Some people are never satisfied. All the Drs. Recommended progressive lens and astigmatism, so soft contacts a month duration. Also, recommended 2 pair glasses either on sale, designer, or mix and match with high impact lens with transition tint or if a contact wearer, you can choose any frame as described above with color tinted sunglasses. I highly recommend them to anyone in Corpus Christi, TX.

Above and beyond

I brought in a pair of sunglasses that were not purchased at a LensCrafters store and needed a screw for one of the arms. And the technician that was on duty there went ahead and put in a screw and fixed my glasses. She was amazing.
Thanks so Much!

They wanted more to put new lenses in my existing frames (that I bought from them earlier) than to buy a new pair of glasses. The price on my new pair was nearly $1,000 before their phony discounts reduced the price to $625. They don't care about service to a long-time customer and I won't be back.

Poor customer service
August 17, 2023

After my annual exam I needed to replace my glasses (been a customer almost 20 years) I was the only customer at the time and spoke to a lady about some of my problems with my glasses an through I might need new frames also. I was handed off to Millie. When asking questions, she got up and told me she had to check to see if she was on now, I assume she was working she came back, when I found a pair of frames I liked I asked about the nose pads on this type and was told they dont have that kind and would have to get them somewhere else, my wife was looking on Amazon to see if I could get them when asked if this was the ones she dident know I asked the other lady and she told me that that they could get them. Then when asked about sunglasses someone walked in and then she started talking to them on their request. That did it for me sorry I had to walk out when the outher lady asked what was wrong and that Millie was new in training. I left and drove to Richmond Short Pump store and worked with Sreedevi with some of the best customer service and I purchased my reg glasses and sunglasses frames and lenses..

I actually had a great time as a customer. There was a cool vibe from the store manager, as she multitasked helping customers and associates. Arianna assisted in my choice of frames and gave honest opinions on my selections. So very pleased with the entire process. My glasses were ready a week ahead of schedule. LOVE THEM!

The return policy is not generous enough to accommodate the time it takes the brain to adapt to a new prescription. It can take months for the brain to adapt to certain lens features, and the 30 day return policy does not articulate with the period of it time it takes for the brain to adapt. That is why people are not satisfied with their exams. There should be legislation to protect customers from this type of business' return policy. There should be an 8 month return policy, or a one year policy for learning disabled individuals. Do not shop at Lens Crafters.
