I had purchased the wrong package of products and sent a message t Customer Service about this. Customer Service addressed and resolved my issues extremely fast and without question. I have trained customer service agents and in my opinion, Legal Zoom had excellent customer service. I was surprised by how their customer service handled my situation because I had expected much less based on some of the experiences I have had with other online services. I am extremely satisfied and would recommend Legal Zoom to all.
Legal Zoom is the worst company you can Use. They were taking forever to get my new company filed with the state. After three weeks of painful waiting on "$#*!zoom" I decided to use my local guy... I got my company filed and received Division of Corporations all in just two days.
I would never recommend legalzoom or ever use them again. Save you money use your local people. Most likely your CPA would be able to assist with something like this or he would know someone who can.

I called to cancel my Advantage Plus account and had the pleasure of being assisted by Joel Dockery. I anticipated a hard sell to maintain my account, however, Joel's calm demeanor, mastery of facts and skillful ability to listen to his customer's needs, provided valuable details that I had not considered prior to calling. As a result, I am fully content to maintain my account at Legal Zoom.

Worst site ever! Don't do it! Long holds no one returns your calls. They constantly hang up on you. I had a hold on my account that I couldn't resolve because no one on their end fixed the problem. I am filing a dispute with my credit card company because these guys aren't even returning calls for that. Wasted a lot of my time and will NEVER go to them again

I just started my LLC nearly a month ago and have had issues ever since I began... Today, after about my 5th call to them I still got no where on the situation and trying to obtain my EIN #. I have already invested money into this and have not received the customer service care I feel I deserve or anywhere near starting my business in transportation as I planned.
I cancelled the order and also want all of my money back, but I'm being told that isn't possible. So that means out of $400 I have already spent, they are refunding $79 only. SO, Your are going to scam your "customer" out of money when customer service is guaranteed? The IRS doesn't charge you what so ever, but I chose LegalZoom for the customer care I needed and if needing legal assistance ever, I could use as a resource.
I'm also upset on the fact I had to call back multiple times and my account wasn't called to make me aware of the status, and just general updates. That in my opinion is what successful customer service is defined as.
To conclude, it is just very disappointing, I would not waste your time and go directly to the IRS to get started. I wish I would have an saved the $400 I have already spent on my account with LegalZoom.

The most inept group of people I have ever dealt with in my life. Paid them for 5 years as my registered agent. When I didn't receive my biennial report paperwork I called them. Here we are 4 weeks later, absolutely no progress and my business will be dissolved in a week because of their laziness. I was absolutely guaranteed a return phone call today, by an escalation manager. No call, no email, nothing. Yes, the dissolution of my business doesn't even merit a response from them. Weeks of phone calls, hours spent on hold, an endless array of useless phone reps, absolutely no progress, no responses to emails. The level of customer service is staggeringly inept. Never, ever do business with them. I am so sorry that I am about to lose my business over this, I am crushed.

Signed up with LZ after years of hearing podcast ads and remembering Joe Escalante from The Vandals. Joe, what happened to this company? So not punk rock.
Registered for a basic 6 months package and submitted a request to have a 2-page articles of incorporation reviewed prior to submission with the California Secretary of State. This was simply to ensure our self-prepared articles were error free and conformed to appropriate IRS and state tax code requirements. Thank the litigation gods that LZ would not be needed to process the articles! After setting up an appointment, a call back was received the next day informing that a different appointment would need to be setup in order properly answer the request for a nonprofit related document review. The new appointment time was locked in and a copy of the document for review was forwarded as instructed. All good and reasonable thus far, until the day prior to the scheduled appointment when the LZ assigned attorney called to state that the requested appointment and document review would not be conducted due to lack of any available nonprofit expertise at the LZ partnering law firm.
This was dumbfounding, as I expected LZ to be able to answer basic small business related legal questions which should include nonprofit organizations. The LZ assigned attorney simply provided a referral list to other independent lawyers who did have the necessary expertise. Upon contacting one of the lawyers on the list, I was quoted an LZ discounted rate of $400 per hour in order to check the 2-page document. A lengthy process of contacting LZ customer service then followed but LZ would not cover the cost of using a referred lawyer. An immediate request for a full refund and to cancel LZ service was then processed. Having had the service for the week, and to the credit LZ, a full refund was provided.
BOTTOM LINE: The scope of LZ services is narrow and cannot be counted on to answer a specific business related question, leading to paying additional out-of-pocket costs for the actual expertise needed. Skip it and find proper help elsewhere.

I haven't work with Any company who HANG up on customers during support. Unbelievablably unknowledgable and terrible attitude! All They care is Over charge you. Do It yourself or find lots of the local companies, They are way easier to work with And much cheaper. Terrible!

This should be my second order with this company. After first one about three years ago, which went kind of smooth I was expecting the same experience. How wrong I was.
I placed order # ******* in January 25th and since then no one was trying to contact me. I was not alarmed because I was checking periodically legalzoom.com. But because of lack of progress I called them February 28 and was promised that it should be done in the next couple days. Again, no one reach out to me since then. Today, March 14 randomly as usual I checked legalzoom.com and find out that there is a problem with my order. I called them and first person was OK but not really helpful and she transferred me to next who suppose to help me with my grievances. I've learned after seven weeks of waiting that State of NY has a problem with part of the name of my business. I understand.
What I don't understand is why Ms. Tabitha was focusing only on one thing that supposedly Legal zoom was contacting me back in February and I did not called them back. I was not able to ask all my questions during her raised voice tirade.
She did not react to my request to speak to her supervisor and basically the only one thing she was doing was escalating the situation. In this situation I had no other choice but cancel the order. I am sure I would not deal ever again with this company nor recommend them to any one.

Legal Zoom takes longer than if you just do the work yourself, plus they charge ten times what the secretary of state charges. If you have to call their customer support number, expect to be on hold for one full hour. They give you the option to keep your place in the hold line and they will call you back, when I chose that option the call went strait to voicemail.

I ordered a simple LLC in September 2016. I was currently a sole proprietor. They misfiled my paperwork under a different LLC name (not sure how that could happen). It took 4 months for them to correct the error! I received an email stating everything had been submitted to my state and the IRS. Here it is March 2017, my state has received the notice and everything looks great. The IRS has never been notified. I just got off the phone with LegalZoom and they claim they never mailed it to the IRS, just my state! If they are this incompetent with an LLC I would hate to use them for anything even remotely complex!
