We signed up for the free 7 day trial. Decided we did not need the service and promptly cancelled. While the site acknowledged that the subscription was cancelled, they have continued to bill monthly.

Their rep I got on the phone (Chris A) was completely useless and unwilling to solve the problem. The manager he connected me with (Andy A) was also unwilling to assist.

We never used their service. If they have any integrity they would refund what they have charged.

If you have a choice, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

They seem like a legit business but they have the typical sleezy automatic payment tactics after the free trial. Their charge shows up as CCbill on your statement so it's not clear who is actually billing you. They don't send monthly reminders or receipt of payment because of course that would notify you to cancel this ridiculous monthly charge. If you ask to be refunded for a service you never used they refuse to refund you. Between their horrible customer service and gross billing tactics I would never recommend this company.

This site is a data mine! Beware that your data is not safe and WILL be sold, they hide the options to prevent this from the account page, making you jump though hoops to have your account delete, info not sold, and for even data request. They will not help you over email support and will just link to PDF with instruction. PDF are not safe when you do not trust the person send them, they can hold exploits to steal more info from your computer itself! Stay away and save your data AND money!

The option to not sell your data is a very small button at the very bottom of the page, that takes you to a larger page with a a button hidden in the middle of the page that then takes you to a hidden page with the data options, none of these options are clearly. Located anywhere in your account page aswell as no clear option to have your account delete. This site complies, but its hidden pages and lack of references in the main profile page makes me think they do not want to comply and want you to have to work at figureing out how to not have your data sold.

This site is a data mine, its very easy to tell, YOU are the product to them ontop of them running shady billing practices.

If someone reads the comments and reviews they will see that this site has a very bad rating and scammy behaviour / policies. Don't waste your time there

I was lured onto legaltemplates.net by "free" forms and thought I had cancelled and didn't notice right away that I was being charged $39.95 a month. I was told I had agreed to the terms and conditions when I called and asked about getting a refund. They taught me a lesson. I would use someone else for your forms.

This site is really, really $#*!ing dumb - don't advertise as free when you are so very clearly not. If I had to waste my time for that bull$#*!, your review score is going to suffer.

Didn't cancel the service immediately as requested. Only needed the one document. If you can't provide written proof of cancellation (it's done over the phone), they continue to charge until you catch them. Would not provide any refund without an email from client stating that you are accepting this in full and would not require any other refunds for the many months they charged beyond the cancellation. Requested to speak to a supervisor who was actually worse than the customer service representative. Thanks for nothing "John."

Claims to be a "free template site" then after you've spent all the time filling out the form, then they ask you for your credit card info. Pass.

Well, sometimes evryone faces the situation when he/she needs a help from legal services. I also faced suc a situation, the government wanted to sell my house because I don't pay for it, however I really pay for it and I couldn't understand why government decided to charge me. I understood that I wasn't able to solve this issues by my own and I had to apply to specialized legal services. I chose this company and applied to managers here. They seemed to me ral professionals after communicating with them and I believe that I will aply hee in case of such situations because they help pretty quickly.

Yesterday I was sucked in to the on-line "Free" legal template to build a rental agreement. After completing the document, I could preview it but not download or print it unless chose one of 3 options the company presented. One, I could access it for free for 7 days, after which time it would revert to an annual subscription of $39.99. Second, I could access the document for 14 days for 9.99, after which time it would revert to the annual subscription. Third, I could choose the annual subscription for unlimited use and access to other templates. I knew I couldn't complete the work within 7 days and though, what the heck, I'll get an annual subscription and look at other templates, and cancel sometime during the year. Later in the day I received a confirmation email from them, and was surprised to see a receipt for $95.99 for the annual subscription! That wasn't what I bargained for! I emailed the company and asked them to refund the balance between what I thought I was paying and what they charged to my credit card. I did not say I wanted to cancel, I just wanted a refund of the overpayment. This morning they emailed me that 1) they canceled my subscription immediately, and 2) there would be no refund at all. So they have my $95.99 for one day of access, and now an unhappy customer to boot.
It was the classic bait and switch tactic!

I used Legal Templates once over a 18 months ago during week free trial and immediately declined future use.
I kept getting billed monthly T $39 per month so emailed them several times in August 2020. They replied Covid had slowed their ability to respond but would look into the issue.
I admit I should have been checking my CC account monthly but did not.
I now know they have kept billing me every month for past year!
Since they don't respond, I just canceled my credit card and have been scammed for over $500 for my free trial.

I did their free trial and cancelled. I received a notification on their website that it was cancelled. I did not receive any other documentation. I found out that they use a third party to bill your card monthly and after 6 months, I finally figured out who they were. They refused to refund me and knew very well that I had no proof of the cancellation. I have reported to the FTC.

I am certain I went through the steps to cancel my "free trial" the day that I tried this website. It wasnt what I was looking for so I immediately cancelled only to find out 5 months later that I have been charged over 200 dollars with zero use of their services or their website. What kind of a con website charges after a "free trial" and sends no emails, no receipts, no statements? I will tell you, this is the type of website/business survives on deception and shotty legal terms to protect their murky business practices. Stay away from this website/business at all cost. I will be reporting to the BBB as well.

Good luck trying to cancel your "free trial" within the 7 days, they wouldn't do it for me. I tried numerous times to cancel online & they would let you go thru two steps, the third they would give you an error message "cannot cancel, try again". I sent them messages to no avail. Be careful when you sign up with these guys, they'll ignore you until AFTER your trial has ended & you've been charged their monthly fee. Do not recommend!

The website says there will be a $39.95 charge at the end of the 7-day free trial. I cancelled my trial immediately to avoid charges however, the fee was instantly charged to my account. Customer service said it was to "remind me to cancel my free-trial" and that I should see my refund in 24-48 business hours which has still yet to come nearly 4 business days later. False advertising of a "free trial" Wish I had never found this site.
