According to your size chart I bought a large and it fit very well. so far pleased with helmet and the flip down visor inside is great don't have to buy expensive glasses to ride with.
Looks Great ,cost is fair , Fits well (inch measurements are accurate ) as soon as the weather turns I'll use it (it matches my Red Bike ) fast shipping ... leather up is the tops .helmets and clothing >>>
Great deal for the money. Size Small was snug,as should be. Size chart was accurate. All features work well on the product and it looks great. Vent system was good in the hot Fla. weather. Helmet is not overly heavy, and visibility range is good for this type of model. Well built and solid with comfortable fit. Awesome home delivery time.
The Hawk helmet is a good fit and is comfortable. There is more wind noise then I thought there would be. The shield seems to be a little on the thin side. I think it could be thicker. The drop down smoke visor works very well and this is one of the main reasons I bought this helmet. The flow through ventilation is good but could be better, the helmet is very hot in 80 to 90 degree weather. Overall I am satisfied with the product the cost if very good for all the features on the helmet but would like to see some of the changes that I mentioned .
Great helmet for the price! A bit noisy at speed, but I really like the quick release chin strap. So much easier than d rings. This helmet is replacing the same model that was involved in an accident. The helmet took hard impacts on the top, back and left side. The shell was pretty scuffed up but intact. The impact on the left side of the helmet broke the attachment point of the chin bar so it no longer locks into place. Time for a new helmet ahh. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if I wasn't wearing a helmet... This bad boy saved my bacon! Thanks LeatherUp.
Nice helmet, good fit and great looking, matches my bike perfectly.
This helmet is a good value. It fits a little snug in the ears, I think due to the speakers mounted in the helmet. As I have been wearing it, it seems to be fitting a little better. I had an open faced helmet before and this cuts the noise down a ton. You can still hear your bike and the traffic around you but it is suppressed a bunch. There is good ventilation through the helmet. The visor is easy to open and close with gloves on. I love the chin strap. It is easy to get on and off due to the quick connect latch. It is awesome to have bluetooth speakers in the helmet. They are plenty loud. They aren't the the best speakers in the world but they work fine and you can hear the music and talk clearly. I have found that when I am talking to others on the phone, I can be heard clearly when the visor is up. When I close the visor, I am told that my speech sounds like I have my hand over my mouth. That is kind of a bummer but it wasn't enough for my to return it. I really like the look of the helmet and it fits fine for a great price.
First, I think the helmet is a great bargain for the amount I paid for it. However, it does fit a little snug, especially on the forehead and ears. I thought it was too small at first, but it has eased up a little after a few times wearing it. If you are close to the next size up, I would suggest you get the larger size. Otherwise, it's a great looking helmet that seems to be good quality. The bluetooth functionality is "ok". It seems to have a problem when you are streaming music and push the MFB (multi-functional button) once. Normally, this would answer a call. However, if you don't have a call (say, you meant to push it twice in order to pause the music, but were a little slow on the second push) it becomes erratic, like a record skipping (for those who remember what that was like). The only way I have found to fix the skipping is to take out my phone, stop the music, and select another song. Also, the left speaker seems to be louder than the right, and all the voice goes to the left speaker. I had my son try it also, to make sure it wasn't my hearing. This may just be the case for the helmet I received, though. Overall, again, it's a great helmet for the price. I use an iPhone, so take that into consideration regarding my comments concerning its bluetooth performance. I would recommend it to someone else.
A good value overall but I cannot recommend it if your focus is solely the Bluetooth intercom/phone aspect of the device. It works alright with music and you can hear incoming speech. You cannot, however speak to anyone unless you are sitting still. The minute you start to go past 30 mph it starts to break up and no one can hear you at 70 mph. So that part of the helmet is an absolute disaster In terms of fit it is spot on and I really like the air vents on this one as they work very well. I don't fog up badly at night and the other day I was out in the backroads and it was 92 degrees and I felt cool. I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed because I very much am.
Easy to set up from helment to helment quick to huck up to phone and well worth the money. Grate sound rider to rider music sounds good as well.
I've been using the helmet for about 3 weeks now. The bluetooth function connects fairly easily. Sound for map directions come in loud and clear. However, calls are impossible at higher speeds due to wind noise. I was very excited to receive my very first call while riding 60mph on a county road - I could hear nothing and they could not hear me. A couple minutes of yelling into the mic and I had to stop to make the call. Also, for longer rides over an hour, I do not recommend this helmet. The weight of the helmet put enough pressure on a single point on my head causing a massive headache and I ended up stopping to take it off. Anything less than an hour and it is a perfect helmet. I love the flat black look. I love the map directions. I love the snug fit and the quick strap. For the price, it is a great helmet.
Loved the helmet but it crushed my forehead...we all have different head shapes. This helmet just wasn't shaped for my oval head. I sold it to my grandson and he loves it...fits him good.
My Hawk H500 finally arrived and I was able to wear it this morning during a 25 minute commute to work. The helmet does a really good job of blocking out the wind noise even at speeds around 70 MPH. The Bluetooth worked well with my iPhone 6 Plus and I was able to hear my music without cranking the volume all the way up. I did not use the Bluetooth for a phone call yet, but doubt I want to be on the phone while riding anyway. Looking forwad to syncing two helmets and talking while riding two up. I found the helmet to be tight, so I am glad I ordered 1 size up to be snug and secure without actually hurting. This is was a great value buy for me.
This helmet is everything I expected it to be. Yes, it is a little snug around the ears. My ears tend to fold over however, I just have to wiggle the the helmet a little and they unfold. Like everything else it needs breaking in and it fits better the more it is worn. I can hear my bike and the traffic around me but it's only quieter. seems almost as if you are in your car instead of on your bike. Great ventilation inside the helmet. The visor is easy to operate. Barely know the chin strap is there. Also easy to operate the quick disconnect latch. Bluetooth speakers are remarkable. Volume levels are perfect. I have found that when I am talking to others on the phone, I can be heard clearly when the visor is up. Great looking helmet with a great price.
Nice helmet but size is off. XL is more like L. It is to tight to wear but I will keep and give to a family member that it will fit because it is a nice helmet.
The helmet works as it should, have no issues with it. I have noticed that at higher speeds it hard for people to hear you, but listening to music it works great. It looks great and fits very well...the seatbelt type clasp is a big plus rather than the old d-ring set ups.
Good price for what you get. The music comes through good, the intercom is good as long as you are close to the other rider. The convenience of talking between bikes was great, really eliminates unneeded stops. I enjoyed listening to my tunes even doing 80. The fit is good but for me the ear holes were a bit cramped with the speakers in them, I'm hoping I'll get used to that over time. My girlfriend was very happy with the fit on her helmet. Three air vents help out as well, we were riding on a 90 deg. day and were fairly comfortable, anything under 45 and I preferred having the visor up (gotta have the wind in the face when possible).
It came on time and it was just as listed. The sun-visor is a definite plus. It fits very well and the only problem is one I have with all helmets - I wear glasses. For the price and features I believe this to be one of the best deals around. LeatheUp delivers.
Clever piece of gear. Paired to iphone, gps quickly and easily. Auto connects phone on second or third ring. Sound, both ways, is great. No static, or other bad things while using it. Light weight and easy to use while riding. Price was very good for a quality item. Usual lightening quick shipping from Leather up.
First new helmet I have purchased in 3 years. It arrived promptly and undamaged. I would recommend letting it air out a day or two....it had that new in the box fiberglass smell. But all that aside I love my Modular helmet, has has a DOT rating....its good looking even on my all black Harley. The interior visor is great...and every feature is reachable and easy to find even with gloves on.
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
