Overall I like this helmet. The modular design is great and functions flawlessly even when moving. Fit was perfect, was a little snug nut has loosened up a little and now is great. Wind noise is minimal with the shield down. Only two not great things, (1) The built in sun shield distorts the view so much with the outer shield down that is practically useless. (2) There is no noticeable difference in air flow through the helmet with the vents open or closed. Overall a very good helmet for the price. Service was excellent as always.

First off this is Bluetooth 3.0 which is the latest version, don't buy anything at not at least 3.0 because your phone or newer phones won't work or won't be able to use certain features. The X1 gives you voice commands on the setup which I have only seen on really high head Bluetooth devices several times the price here, it's really easy to setup. The sound was the most important to me because at 50-60 MPH my last devices was barley audible. Well the X1 is super loud and has stereo speakers!!! Yes Finally I can ride and hear my music or the GPS. All and all great device, will have a hard time finding anything that's better especially for the price.

HJC makes a great helmet and this IS-17 is certainly one. I chose the Anthracite. The color was closer to the darker parts of the photo shown, just what I was hoping for. This is a very cool looking helmet in that color. I've got to admit that I wasn't sure what I was going to get in appearance, but it was everything that I was hoping for.

The fit is snug and it feels light for a full face helmet. The built-in goggles work just as shown. Very easy. I wear glasses so this is a big reason why I chose the IS-17. The goggles don't effect anything other than light glare. They don't come into contact with my face or my glasses while wearing the helmet. They are easy to use. The face shield is easy to remove and reinstall, keep your instructions handy for the first time completing this maneuver. The interior is easily removed, washed and reinstalled, once again keep the instructions handy to complete this.

This is my second full-face HJC and third in all. The sizing is a little small. By the chart, I should be wearing a XL, but it was too small and had to go with a 2XL. That fits perfectly. I did need to return the XL for exchange. The original was sent without a receipt or return form. I was able to download that form from the website and send back by USPS with insurance. It took about a week and a half to get the replacement with no issues whatsoever. I've bought multiple items from LeatherUp with absolutely no issue, this is the first time I did have to return an item, not their fault. It was and has been a good experience.

I like this helmet. I needed a new full face with a visor. This is nice and light but looks well built for protection and durability. I am very displeased with difficulty trying to order different removable cheekpads. GMax webpage gives the part number and says you have to order through a dealer. Leatherup says that they don't carry that part #. Now I'm searching for a dealer to order the part through. Not happy with customer service! I do like the helmet though.
